The previous reviews were right. This is a hidden gem with authentic Mexican food at extremely reasonable prices. The husband and wife team are so nice, and their culinary skills are extraordinary. I ordered four chicken street tacos on corn tortillas. As you can see from the pictures, each taco had an ample amount of seasoned pulled chicken, onions, and cilantro with fresh lime, sauce, and a side of grits onions and peppers... all for $8. They are cash only, and have an unobtrusive tip jar. This is an outstanding small business worth supporting. read more

Huge shout out to yelp for suggesting this place! I have eaten tacos all over houston and the USA and these are top 5 if not top 3. Some of the best tacos I've ever had in my life! If you like great street tacos this a must try for you! And absolutely exceptional taco experience! Food: I was blow away by the pictures on yelps page so I had to give them a try. You can tell when food is going to be amazing and let me tell you, they delivered. The beef fajita taco is amazing and full of flavor. They use nice big chunks of beef that are seasoned and grilled to perfection. The pastor was just as good. Full of flavor and very tasty. Overall I'm telling you right now this is a must try. The tacos here are top-notch and they're very good. I also did something different with the tortillas for the quesadillas. Typically I will get corn quesadillas but I got some flour as well just to see what they taste like and let me tell you what they were simply amazing. I discovered Taqueria Brisa Del Mar, browsing through social media one day and so glad I came across their page. No exaggeration, this is easily the best tacos I've had in Houston this far! The al pastor is to die for! It is so savory and flavorful with the perfect amount of spice! I got 3 tacos, one al pastor, one barbacoa and one beef fajita taco, all on corn tortillas (traditional way :). The tacos are fairly priced at $2 especially because they are the smaller sized portion. And come with a side of spicy salsa, like for garnish and onions/peppers. I also ordered a large agua fresca limonada which was so light and refreshing. The food truck is located in the lot of what appears to be an old gas station along side a liquor store and has a backyard like area with tables and benches. Taqueria Brisa Del Mar definitely gets my vote for the best taco truck in Houston. For context, I have tried (and really liked) Taco Keto in Eastwood, El Taco Man near the Heights, Tacos Tierra Caliente near the icehouse in Montrose, and numerous other trucks. Taqueria Brisa Del Mar ranks above all these other trucks based on the quality of presentation and the incredible flavor of the product offered. This taco truck is so great I patronized the business two days in a row, which is something I hardly ever do for any business. The first time, I ordered a fajita quesadilla and a fajita taco with onion and cilantro. The next day, I ordered a pastor taco, a fajita quesadilla and horchata. Everything was absolutely delicious!! I kind of wish Taqueria Brisa Del Mar could be situated in a better location since it is close to the outskirts of town. Best Al Pastor in Houston. Seriously, this one is tops tops for me. Personally I get it on flour and add cheese and avocado, but even plain Jane they are STUNNINGLY DELICIOUS! I was in the area and found Taqueria Brisa Del Mar on Yelp to check out for lunch. These are probably the BEST TACOS I have ever had in my life! I got three tacos al pastor and a fajita quesadilla. I ate the quesadilla first, and it was amazing! So much so that I thought that I would be disappointed by eating the tacos second! It was stuffed full of deliciously seasoned fajitas and perfectly melted cheese. Then I dug into the tacos al pastor, and I was equally as blown away! They include the most delicious grilled onions on the side as well as raw onion and cilantro directly on the tacos. The red sauce, as usual, as burn your tongue off hot, but the green packed a nice balance of both flavor and heat. I used to think the best tacos in Houston were from a taco truck near a popular icehouse in Montrose, but man, I was totally wrong. I don't think you can go wrong ordering anything from Taqueria Brisa Del Mar. I am so jealous of people that live nearby and get to enjoy these tacos all of the time! read more

As far as tacos truck goes, the tacos are delicious! They do not skim on the meats, it was full capacity. The meats were all well seasoned & tender. Got the frijoles charro & so happy I did. Yum-yum-yum! Thanks to Yelp (again) for tracking down some random food truck for me. I ordered tacos pollo with cilantro and onion. The nice lady cooked up some chicken, and I received piping hot tacos (corn tortillas of course) all packaged to go. They came with, verde and rioja sauce, lime, and a side of grilled onions and jalapeño. They were tender, moist, and had a great flavor. I ate them all! The Yelp directions made it easy to find. The food was amazing. I may be a little biased because I love food trucks. It's something about them (some) that gives you that homey taste and I know a few that really put love into their food and this place is one of them. I went here off of a whim and ordered the quesadilla and a chicken taco. The taco was delicious, the chicken was seasoned right the toppings were fresh and honestly I didn't care about the presentation because the taste overpowered all of that. And I had a bite of my quesadilla and was even more satisfied. I couldn't eat it all in one setting so I took it to work with me and shared it with my co workers and even with the quesadilla being cold they all wanted to know where I got it. If I ever have to travel to Houston again I will probably buy in bulk lol not to mention the prices were more than reasonable. The only thing is I wish they had Apple Pay or some sort of device for electronic currency, it's cash only and the atm nearby charges you I think $4 not to mention your own bank charging you a fee. read more
