My family loves this place, we probably pick up dinner here twice a week. I'd give the 5th star if they had any spicy meat on their menu, but I understand why they don't. I must have ordered the wrong things because I don't see what all the fuss is about. The food is ok, but that's about it. If anything I thought it was all under seasoned and kind of bland. I tried the El Pasor, lengua, and carnitas. All were lacking in flavor, the El Pastor had some, but the lengua and carnitas tasted as if they didn't even get so much as a sprinkling of salt during cooking. The server was very nice, and service was good, but the decor could use some help- it was very clinical and cold. Best Tamale I have had in MANY years! Pork are the only type they have, but it's what I wanted and is GOOD! Cheese enchilada was pretty good as well. Rice is in the top 3 for flavor. Sorry, the best thing about our meal was the beer, bland food. We both ordered Chile Colorado which I always use as a gauge for good Mexican food. Sorry my chili Colorado beats theirs hand down. My husband and I were in San Andreas and passed up going to the always great pickle patch to give this place a try. As a lover of Mexican food, I was not impressed. I had the chicken chimichanga and with all the stuff that they pack into it...they left out the flavor.
