Wow! This food is exceptional! Going inside of the bakery, I felt like I was at Grand Central Station! Lots of people were bustling around with baggies and tongs grabbing their baked items. From breads to cakes to cookies , they had it all. The dulce de leche cake was my favorite dessert. But the breakout star?? THE SALTEÑAS! I had never heard of it before but seeing how it was so packed inside I had to try what they're known for. OH MY WORD! It's a party of flavors! Why would I even get a Panera soup bowl again when I could have this sweet and savory soup inside of a perfectly baked pastry? I couldn't wait to eat it! This bakery reminds me so much about the panaderías that I visited almost on a weekly basis in CDMX. This bakery is nearly identical, and they even have salsa music playing in the background. I also got the impression that is a family run bakery. They feature an extensive menu of cakes and pies that can be made to order. But the main part of the bakery has several dozen displays of various pasties and baked goods. This was an great find for me, and I couldn't help myself, so I got three different pastries. Honestly I was disappointed with the tres leches as Im from out of town and wanted something authentic and not even a few hours after purchasing it I went to eat it and I saw a massive amount of mold on the strawberry that Im lucky enough that I didn't get sick. read more

Great Saltenas and seasoned perfectly! This was my first one, as I am used to Empanadas. When taking my 1st bite from my fresh and warm Saltenas, the very flavorful juices exploded everywhere. Wish I had gotten the saltenas, as everyone seems to recommend them--but didn't see them in the case. I, however, was hungry and on the hunt for some tamales. I ordered two red and two green tamales, which came out steaming hot from the back, as well as one pan de queso (at least I think that's what it is) and two slices of some pan dulce that I had in Mexico City--which I can only describe as hearty slices of white bread with a thick layer of whipped butter, topped with a layer of sugar. The tamales were ah-mazing, I ate one in my car on the drive back home to Richmond, the smells were too intoxicating to wait. Will definitely return for more and so I can freeze some of those great 'males. read more

This is a pick-up to go bakery. No tables inside. Pretty humble but bustling with orders. They must be distributors because there's one oven cart after another coming out with awesome smelling goods. Sorry on the woman that rated 1 star because the staff asked to wear a mask and her son. I had been a customer for 20 years and they are the most respectful staff and friendly you can find. I am not sure how they magically make the exterior roll so crispy while holding such stewy goodness inside. Saltenas are good (once got one where dough was undercooked, but only happened 1x) I've been back many times and they where fine. Always get spicy green sauce on side, really good. Their rolls and donuts are the size of human heads! Wish they had more food options. All in all great for saltenas and beats driving to arlington. read more
