Not good at all. SHIILA is so much better. I don't care for their dough or variety.

It was fully saturated with the milk mixture, which creates a rich texture and flavor. However, if you prefer a tres leches that leans more toward cake than liquid, this version may feel a bit too wet for your preference. I was somewhat disappointed with the mango mousse, as I was hoping for a stronger mango flavor to really stand out but it just wasn't there. I also tried the tiramisu, which was very nice and well balanced. Overall, there were some strong highlights, especially the tres leches and tiramisu. Overall a solid place but I have to go back and try other items before I can give it a four or five.

The flavor was oddly floral (a leaf taste almost) which is weird as opera cake is only two flavors: raspberry and chocolate. There was no raspberry to speak of and the cake was a little dry. The New York cheesecake has a weird texture and tastes good but not like cheesecake. The store itself smelled like a nail salon which should have been a sign most probably. The bathroom is not available (which would be fine, if there was a curtain or door blocking saying staff only since a hallway seems like you can go in). The service was good and the girl there was very friendly. Save your money!

She was a pleasure to work with and was able to make a delicious cake that accommodated my dietary restrictions (gluten free). In addition to making our cake, she also delivered and placed our florals and cake topper which was a huge help the day of the event. Definitely keep Casey in mind for your next birthday or special event!

I had tried Casey's salted caramel cupcakes a couple months before for a friend's birthday and knew instantly I wanted her to make my cupcakes for my wedding in April. She was super accommodating and baked 10 flavors (6 cupcakes in each flavor) for my friends and family to try. Every flavor was a hit! I highly recommend the Chocolate Oreo, Strawberry Champagne, and the Red Velvet in addition to her signature flavor Salted Caramel. The cupcakes were decorated in a simple and classy fashion which was very visually appealing. Casey is attentive and responsive and will work with you to meet your preferences and dietary needs. She will go above and beyond to meet your design requests too. I'll update after my wedding but if you are looking for delicious cupcakes... go contact Casey right now.

This bakery is nearly identical, and they even have salsa music playing in the background. I also got the impression that is a family run bakery. They feature an extensive menu of cakes and pies that can be made to order. But the main part of the bakery has several dozen displays of various pasties and baked goods. This was an great find for me, and I couldn't help myself, so I got three different pastries. I bought two conchas, and one cinnamon and pecan roll. All three of them together were less than $7.00. I wish I could find a bakery like this a little closer to the city

Lots of people were bustling around with baggies and tongs grabbing their baked items. From breads to cakes to cookies , they had it all. The dulce de leche cake was my favorite dessert. But the breakout star?? THE SALTEÑAS! I had never heard of it before but seeing how it was so packed inside I had to try what they're known for. OH MY WORD! It's a party of flavors! Why would I even get a Panera soup bowl again when I could have this sweet and savory soup inside of a perfectly baked pastry? I couldn't wait to eat it! I didn't even leave the parking lot and I had devoured it I got the chicken but I can't wait to come back and try the others. This place was exceptional!

Was I serious? Absolutely! Menopause will do that! The glazed cronuts? Equally dangerous. I bought a dozen to share and somehow made it home with three and a story that started with, "They must have shorted me." Amazing staff. Incredible doughnuts. This is one of Lorton's hidden gems. But let me give you one piece of advice: Get there EARLY. Nothing hurts more than walking in with your heart set on an apple fritter, only to watch the person in front of you buy the last one. Baby, that's the kind of disappointment you think about all day. Buy extras. Trust me. These doughnuts will have you saying things you don't mean and protecting your box like it's family heirlooms. Long story short: WORTH THE CALORIES
