Grandad Crepe - Nutella and Banana
    Ben C.

Simply amazing! The Breakfast panini with Gouda! The "Grandad" crepe with Nutella and Banana and the Pumpkin Spice Latte were so good. And the people here are the best! I would drive an hour to come here, get some coffee and food and visit this amazing town!

Love the atmosphere... the young kids need more excitement. I ordered a lemon drop crepe never had one before, however I was eating and didn't taste any lemon flavor???!

Small, very bohemian coffee shop in downtown Occoquan, Virginia. Coffee is good, vibe is great

    Cute outdoor seating spaces.

This is a small coffee shop, but it has a lot of outdoor seating. Today they were out of nitro brew and vanilla chai but the cashier was very nice in recommending alternatives. I ended up ordering an iced spice chai latte and it was delicious. I liked that they had a huge connect four game for my son and me to play.

Since I was in the area for an event, I've been wanting to try this place. It wasn't hard to find because everywhere you walk it was manageable. Theres plenty of street parking on the main streets but the cafe is located in an alley next to a Belgium restaurant called Cock and Bowl. As you walk in, it's a small cafe with indoor and outdoor seatings. You would make your order and they will call your name for pick up. I ordered 3 items: 1) Aunt Ginny 2) Grandmother 3) Lemon Drop. The aunt Ginny was delicious and well balanced with flavors. With being a pannis, I was hoping the ciabatta bread had a little crunch on the outer layer. But instead the ciabatta was soft, fluffy and appears to have the marks from the griddle only to be served as a regular sandwich. The grandmother crepe was served with a white sauce and was explained it was a butter sauce. The sauce was subtle, there wasn't much flavor to it. But the crepe itself was light, airy and when incorporated with the filling of bourbon beef, onions, roasted red peppers and Gouda cheese. It was decadent and flavorful, you didn't really need to butter sauce. It was great on its own. The lemon drop crepe fell a little flat for me. The crepe itself was light and airy but there wasn't any noticeable flavors or hint of lemon. It was just the crepe and powdered sugar. The two female staff were friendly and knowledgeable. This cafe also serves muffins and pastries which are display in the small window at front counter. Come check them out.

The customer service is rude and unprofessional. My mom left a negative review the previous day and has been receiving messages from someone named Alexander V. This is extremely childish behavior for a place that is supposed to serve others. No one is expecting to be treated like royalty, but it doesn't take much to not treat others like an unnecessary burden as well. You claim we lacked empathy and came off as self-centered when it's clear you lack some self-awareness as well to fail to acknowledge how your behavior was rude. We do not walk to Occoquan area frequently enough to know the ins and outs of things and assumed that a place that said they closed at 5 would still be serving. Either way, messaging someone leaving a negative complaint is very unprofessional. And to be fair, their service was lacking. No one is expecting to be catered to, but upon entry the staff seemed very unwelcoming from the get go. Our main complaint was how they sat there, watched us peruse through the menu and then say they're closing the grills down for the crepes since it's almost 5. Fine. Do I think it's ridiculous to close down early when there's still 30-35 minutes left? Yes, but I can understand it may have not been a busy day. The place literally has Crepe in its title though..it would've taken 3 seconds to say 'Hey, welcome. Unfortunately we're closing down early today and won't be serving anymore crepes but you're free to purchase anything else' rather than just sit there and make us feel stupid when we were ready to order. It's very funny how they apparently had the time to write a long message though. I always try to be understanding towards customer service workers and understand the work can be stressful, but it's also not an excuse to act like a moody teenager at the register when speaking a few sentences would've gone a long way. I understand customer service work can be stressful and I rarely complain much about it unless absolutely needed, but the direct messaging is a huge disappointment and disgusting.

We have been stopping at this location for the past two years. The owner is super friendly and personable. The food is always excellent. I typically get the "Uncle Kevin" and my wife gets the "Aunt Donnie". We have also gotten the muffins which are fresh and warmed for you. Today we had the blueberry and the banana nut muffins. The coffee and tea is always on point. We like that you can sit down and eat both inside, and outdoors ( weather permitting). The parking is always easy and we have never had a bad experience. This place has a friendly vibe to it and it is one of the many reasons we always stop by whenever we travel past it.

We were exploring the old town where this cafe if located and my good friend suggested this spot. Very cute setting. I would say there is a handful of inside seating, and a couple of outside seating. We ordered the strawberry & nutella crepe, oreo & cheese crepe, along side a mocha and cold brew coffee. HIGHLY RECOMMEND getting the oreo crepe! Who would've thought oreo and cheese together taste so good?! No complaints about the coffee! It just hit the spot on a sunny chilly day.

Delicious crepes in both sweet and savory varieties are served up with excellent coffee in a small storefront hidden off the beaten track but still centrally located in picturesque old town Occoquan. I tried the Aunt Jackie - a sweet crepe filled with strawberries, blueberries and bananas and dusted with powdered sugar and Grandmas crepe filled with hot apple compote and cheddar (or cream if you'd prefer) plus the Nutella latte. Service is quick and friendly and there's some limited indoor seating as well as plenty of outdoor seating areas (covered and not) to enjoy your food and coffee. On a weekday when I went, it was fairly quiet with most of the customers taking their orders to go. There's street parking with time limits marked.

This location also had delicious food but we waited a long time for our food. On top of that it came out out of order with one person getting their meal about 15 minutes before the rest of us. They completely forgot about a drink that we ordered until we reminded them. On the positive side, the Duck Ca Pra which, my favorite, was still delicious. The green curry was very creamy and rich. We also got the papaya salad which as usual was very good. Just keep in mind if you get it that even mild spice on that is still very spicy. The mango sticky rice is, as usual, a delicious way to end your meal.

I ordered the Steak Pad See Ew and was surprised to see it topped with a powdery pepper seasoning that wasn't listed on the menu. I strongly dislike that flavor, so I politely asked if the dish could be remade without it. While sitting outside, I watched as my plate was taken to a side area where it appeared they simply removed the top layer of food instead of making a new dish. When they brought it back out, I asked if that's what had happened. At first, the server denied it, but when I mentioned I had just watched the process, they took the plate back again. A few minutes later, the dish returned on a new plate, presented as if it had been remade. I was skeptical but gave it a try. Unfortunately, I could still taste the seasoning in parts of the dish, confirming it hadn't been freshly prepared. At that point, I decided not to continue eating it. When the server checked on us, I explained the situation and my concern that the same food had simply been reworked. She acknowledged it and said she could have the chef make a new one. Although I appreciated the offer, I had already lost my appetite and declined. Even after I made it clear I was done, she remained adamant about having a new dish made. When the check came, the Pad See Ew was still included. I pointed it out and was told it couldn't be removed because they had offered to remake it. I pushed back, and after some back and forth, the charge was eventually taken off. In the end, I paid $19 instead of $37, but the experience left a bad impression. If food is handled this way, it raises concerns--especially for anyone with allergies or dietary restrictions.
