3 pancakes, eggs and bacon breakfast.

I recently discovered this location opened via the Belmont Craign United Facebook page. I live in the area, it good to have a Mexican restaurant near Grand Ave. I made my stop today, very clean location, plenty of space, several tables for two to four people. Greeted as soon as we walked in, very friendly staff. The mexico de chicago chilaquiles with cecina (meat) with rice and beans, perfect portion and very well served. The menu varies, seafood is also on the menu, along with tacos and more. I was able to speak with the owner, very friendly and approachable. You can tell he places his heart into his passion. They offer live performances on certain occasions, karaoke is offered on Friday nights. Welcome to the area, I will return soon.

Mojarra al mojo de ajo ... great flavor ... the rice and beans so good took some to go

Definitely a must try ... get a group and go do some karaoke... food is super flavorful and delish

Grupo de amigas con el chef. Pedimos conocer al.creador de tan excelente comida.

The ambiance is fantastic. The food is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, not the typical Mexican food you find in Chicago, this is truly like being in Mexico. Great menu, I have tried the chicken and beef tacos, the mojarra frita, guachinango frito, camarones empanizados, camarones al ajo y quesadillas. The rice is freshly made, you can taste it. So are the beans. The staff is also great, very professional, engaged and committed to you. Always with a nice and authentic smile and kindness. I fully recommend this restaurant. Absolutely amazing!! And last but not least, the prices are budget friendly.

Carne asada, you must try it

I dined at this restaurant on a Sunday evening at the time that tacos are the only entree on the menu. 3 tacos--choice of Pork, Shrimp, Beef, Chicken. The shrimp was my favorite; should have gotten all three shrimp. However, there was nothing special about the tacos to cost $22, and that's excluding taxes, and tip. FYI: The couple dining at the table next to me said that their drinks were delicious. They were given an extra churro so they gave it to me along with the complementary sauce that's served with it. It was delicious! SERVICE: Extremely BAD. Short staffed. Only a young lady taking orders. Just BAD! Ambiance: I ate on the small patio area in front of the restaurant. It's too small and close for comfort to me. So, on busy days and times it's probably best to make a reservation. Not so sure if I'll dine at Amerikas again; so I will not be recommending anyone to dine there. However, others seem to like dining there pop perhaps you will too.

I tried an onion, everything, and jalapeño cheddar and I loved all three. I highly recommend any of the breakfast bagel sandwiches. My boyfriend got the Avocado Turkey breakfast sandwich (not shown) and I got the Lox breakfast sandwich. The sandwiches are actually filled with food rather than just a few thin slices. My boyfriend and I split the liver plate and it was amazing. I find it hard to find great liver and this place has some! If you like liverwurst you will like this plate. We got it with an onion bagel. We got bagel chips while we waited and sipped on coffee and looking back I wish I grabbed a few extra bagels to go to try more of the variety they had since the assorted chips were so good. The staff was amazing; being warm and welcoming like we had been going there for years. The interior was beautiful and made you feel at home. This is one of those hidden gems anyone around the Chicago area should try, whether you live here or you're just stopping by.

I came in about 30 minutes before they closed so I had the restaurant almost to myself. I had their patty melt which is something I don't normally order. The patty melt was not overly greasy and passable. Their meat patty was surprisingly thinner than expected. Their fries were flavorless and needed seasoning or some special sauce alternative to ketchup. I thought prices were a bit on the high side for what was served. Overall, I am guessing that their breakfast and deli counter may be more popular than their lunches. My experience at Onion Roll, though, was nothing extraordinary or special but considered a local convenience.

Ordered the plate of Gnocchi with roasted butternut squash and Chicken Madeira, both the lunch size entrees. The waitress knew we were going to split the meals in half so she brought the meals out separately and in two separate plates. Doing so gave us time to savor each meal on its own and not have to try and divvy it up ourselves. I loved it. The food was phenomenal! We also had the bacon wrapped shrimp for an appetizer and that did not last long on the plate. Upon leaving we were trying to buy a couple bottles of wine. We tried getting the attention of the staff, yet were told they were busy. We waiting a good 10mins and still didn't get any help. I'm not sure why they were so short staffed for a busy afternoon, they could literally have 1 or 2 people at a register just for takeout wine orders. Or, suggestion, before we leave our table, we put the order in and they have it ready at the register for us to pay on our way out. Either way we walked out of there without wine. This place is big enough to accommodate alot of people and there is a parking garage just behind it, which makes it very convenient.
