Amazing. Celebrated my wife's birthday with the tasting menu. It's timed like perfect sushi. They just keep small plates with intense flavors coming so you engage all your senses. Chef and his staff made us feel so welcome and cared for.

Amazing quality (didn't expect less to be honest from Ferran Adrià's brother) and very attentive service. The ambience is very informal (although the restaurant hoja Santa, incorporated in the same building, is more upscale and with a more complex menu), both are must try. A single taco is around 3,50 €. Lots of different brands of tequilas and Mezcals to taste.

I was very unimpressed with the food. I was also served a drink in a fake taco with a flower in it. Seriously. I have never been embarrassed by a drink before. Left hungry and went and had dinner elsewhere. Not worth a visit. Unless you want to drink out of a taco.

By far one of the best restaurants I've visited during my stay in Barcelona. The service is warm and friendly, while also being very informative. There were a few people in our group who were not fluent is Spanish, yet this was not a problem as the staff spoke perfect English. The drinks were great, I had the Lola which was strong yet very floral in flavor. We also had the chicharron de queso to start, guac and some tacos. The costillas de la abuela were both amazing and creatively plated. The boneless ribs had a "faux bone" made of yuca. The corn flan was sumptuous and the chocolate ice cream in a corn cone was delightful. The atmosphere is very inviting and casual, perfect for lunch or a night out with friends.

Do yourself a favor and order the Lola cocktail Seriously good

I was in Barcelona for the night and had dinner reservations for a different restaurant. If you have ever been to Europe, you know that finding an address can sometimes be challenging. We happened to walk by Hoja Santa and asked for directions. It dawned on me that this was the same restaurant that Gwyneth Paltrow had recently visited. The hostess was kind enough to find us a seat in the bar area for El Niño Viejo in front of the kitchen on a busy Saturday evening. Wow I'm sure glad we couldn't find our original restaurant. Disclaimer, I Love Love Love Mexican food. I've eaten some seriously good Mexican food in Mexico, San Francisco, L.A., Toronto, New York etc . To say this restaurant is the most delicious food I have had in a while is not an understatement. The food is so fresh and although the ingredients are nothing new or out of the ordinary. The way they are blended and prepared in the dishes is a delight for the eyes as well as the palate. The presentation is also very carefully executed. Don't expect huge portions. These are small dishes to savour and sample. The drinks are pretty spectacular too. Although the restaurant is small and crazy busy. The staff made it a point of being extremely attentive and always available to explain the dishes. I will definitely make my way back again and recommend this place to as many people as possible

This tiny mango salad was the highlight of our night

Oh my goodness this is so good. If I ever go to Barcelona again I would come here…read more Must get: Steak with foie gras on bread 8/10: sooo decadent and luxurious. It's abt 8 euros a piece. Very flavorful and fast experience. Oxtail and mashed potatoes 10/10: the oxtail meet is so tender and flavorful. The mashed potatoes pair so well with the oxtail. Mushroom, steak, and egg yolk 9/10: soo flavorful and balance of veggies and protein. Amazing textures and flavors. Sparkling sangria: 8/10 I don't normally live the taste of alcohol but this was great. Not tooooo strong and if tastes pretty good if you mix it with the orange juice. Fresh orange juice: 10/10 so tangy and delicious. I can't recommend it enough. Patatas bravas: 9/10 solid no complaints! Dessert Tapas: - bread dessert (Tarija): 11/10 amazing dessert that is creamy, cameralized, and has a mochi like texture. This fried chewy dessert is not too sweet and such an affordable price. - coconut pudding 9/10 solid and refreshing if you like flan - bread, chocolate oil, salt 7/10: I live the complex flavors. The chocolate mousse was light and the bread to mousse ratio was perfect. It's a smaller dessert tho I wouldn't recommend it if ur sharing. Service: amazing! Staff I'm everywhere so it was very easy to order more food. Also we were sitting buy the area where they made dessert and they allowed me to record them making it!! Comfortable ambiance great for date night or casual meals!!!

As an international traveling food critic and unbeknownst to the staff, the following is what I…read moreexperienced: - The host seated us next to a table of three self-absorbed, loud and obnoxiously nonstop talking late teens early twenties girls. - The food bus'ers attempted to deliver the wrong order to our and nearby tables five times. - The 1/2 order (three small slivers) tomato soaked bread (1/2 PA AMB TOMAQUET) was certainly not worth the €2.5! - The Greek Salad (ENS GREGA) was the worst example of such we have ever had (my party included an authentic Greek). The feta cheese was absolutely disgusting, it tasted like imitation rubber cheese. - The "Al Ajillo" Style Shrimps (GAMBES AMB ALLADA) had a very strange flavor within it, which overwhelmed the garlic flavors. - The Beef Tenderloin (FILET VEDELLA), she had to spit 1/4 of it out because it was too tough. - Everything was overpriced there for the value. If you are in the area DO NOT waste your time nor money dining here!!!
