La experiencia que empieza abajo es una locura buena, después con nada plato que llega la experiencia se hace mejor. Los sabores te explotan el cerebro, el producto es excelente. Platos frescos, llenos de innovación! Cosas tan "sencillas" como el pan con esas 3 mantequillas que son una locura, que no quiere uno llenarse de pan, pero es que no puedes parar de comer... el postre que es un helado en un labial... algo innovador, rico y sencillo pero que te vuela la cabeza. Y ya de los platos ni hablar, traen el mejor producto de cada rincón de españa para transformarlo en un viaje gastronómico que te lo van explicando a medida que te lo van sirviendo. Y ya cuando pruebas cada bocado es un placer que es cuando aprecias y das gracias a la vida por poder estar ahi en ese momento, gozando de esa experiencia! Truly an amazing and creative food adventure. We started in the lobby for a drink and two appetizers. Then we went upstairs to the restaurant. It was pretty slow with a total of 4 tables for the entire lunch. I was very impressed with the beautiful artsy dinnerwares, which were mostly by Pordamsa according to the chef, as we had a chance to talk to him. Every dish was explained thoroughly by our attentive server. Ingredients from all over the world were cooked in innovative ways. I'd only been to another Michelin 3 star before so I don't have much to compare it with. I'd say Angle is how I expected what a Michelin restaurant would be with the creativity to combine, rearrange and dissemble. Definitely a one of a kind life experience I will never forget! read more

Date of Dine: 22 April - Booked a month in advance and got the earliest spot (which in Barcelona is late....) Greeted and treated very well from the start - had some Cava and first bite while in lounge. Then moved to a Bar where we had three marvelous courses. Then we went upstairs for a culinary treat! We really enjoyed our dinner at Angle. Every course had its unique taste and textures and we did not ever feel like things were getting repetitive or tiring throughout the 2.5 hr experience. My favorites includes the taco appetizer and the ravioli with wagyu. Our server was also very wonderful and explained all the courses in detail. This was just incredible, amazing, and mind blowing. It's the new Michelin two starred restaurant in Barcelona and I'm lucky enough to be here with still low menu prices. It's truly a journey here, not just a meal. When you arrive, you'll decide on which menu you want. Then they take you to the bar and the bar chefs give you some teasers. After that, the staff take you upstairs and it's officially dinner time. A lot of courses are prepared in front of you. For example, my soup was simmer for 20 minutes on my table. The ice cream was mixed and then added nitrogen in front of me. It was a mind blowing experience to see everything. The presentation is absolutely stunning. My waiters were extremely nice and professional. They were super attentive and explained everything perfectly. It was such an enjoyable experience dining here. This was such a bonus on our trip to Barcelona. They were located less than 2 blocks from our hotel and recently became Michelin 2 stars in 2019. What a treat it was to go here. They had a land, sea and air theme. It was a great show each dish was like a story. Very flavorful, colorful and the experience was well worth it. My wife liked it a lot. It is close to the Metro L5 line and easy walking distance. The whole experience from start to finish was choreographed perfectly. Highly recommend if in Barcelona. I have always wanted to eat at a Michelin star restaurant. After doing my research on Barcelona, I decided to book a reservation for lunch at Angle. I arrived right when it opened. All of the staff was VERY friendly and professional. They also all speak English FYI. There were no other patrons for the majority of my visit, so I received extremely attentive service, almost awkwardly so. I basically had 4+ staff serving me at all times. I started downstairs in the lobby area, where I was treated to a free beer (they also had wine and other beverages). Then I went to the counter where a chef served various appetizers. Honestly I thought this part was a little pretentious. I was first served cotton candy with mint leaves (I think) dipped in liquid nitrogen. The next course was a huge coral with a tiny shrimp head and piece of uni on it. Eventually I was seated upstairs for the main event. This area is very nice, a very warm and intimate atmosphere. I opted for the lower tier Angle menu with wine pairing. I loved the iberico consommé. There was really only one wine I was just meh about. Other favorites were the roasted sole w/ crystallized skin, raspberry meringue, veal rice w/ oysters, and coconut ice cream dessert (awesome presentation and balance of flavors!). Some of the items I thought were just too pretentious and tryhard, like the marshmallow twist with coconut flakes in the Petit fours and the charcoal bread. I felt like too many of the dishes were style over substance. I think it's a fun experience but I wouldn't come to Angle again. read more

Incredibly impressed by the presentation, flavors, and staff etiquette! The hotel Angle is nested in is stunning - wish I was actually staying there! We got the executive brunch and with a group of 4, I was able to get a taste of everything on the menu. Everything was tasty! Appetizers Bloody Mary - one bit, refreshing, was a good starter! Crisp foie gras and corn - SO DELICIOUS! melts in your mouth Cured egg yolk with a selection of Iberian meats - great textures, and the meat was so good, perfect balances between meat and fat Starters Rockfish rice with small cuttlefish and aioli - could have had more cuttlefish, but the rice was good! Cannelloni with a white sauce made with goat's milk and truffle - similar texture and set-up to a cheese lasagna. Was good and not too greasy. Main courses Cod fish with mascarpone, kohlrabi creamy and almonds - beautiful presentation! And the fish was cooked so well. Fish separated easily and was juicy Roast guinea fowl with foie, eggplant textures and black garlic - meat was not too tough, i really like the black garlic! Deserts Coconut ice cream with Madras curry, pineapple and peanut sponge - YUMM so good. Pineapple and peanut is a surprisingly good mix. Caramelized banana ice cream with ginger and chocolate - also very good. Great spin on a classic duo and chocolate was super rich and not too sweet. They ended the meal with from petite fours. Renovation of the place is just ok, atmosphere is just above average , service is can say is 5/10, a waiter even broke a bottle of water right in front of me and broken glasses is everywhere. Let's get back to the food, The chef tried to use local ingredients to mimic a japanese cuisine using raw seafood for all dishes but with a twist of Barcelona taste. It does not appear of what the chef try to achieves, I am an asian, it is tooooooo salty for us , everything is just too salty and overpowering the ingredient itself It taste like amateur chef cooking So disappointed and the dinner served until 12.30am, (start at 8.30pm) which is tooooo slow, it took us 4 hours of waiting and finishing the whole course. Color me impressed! After an underwhelming experience at a Michelin rated restaurant in Frankfurt a few days prior, I wasn't expecting to be mind-blown. I made reservations to Angle while it was still a one star restaurant. So thrilled to see it's second star! I treated myself to this nice dinner on the last day of my solo adventure in Europe. I admit, I was a bit anxious about eating through such a long meal by myself, but the staff made me feel at home! The dining experience starts with a glass of champagne upon arrival. Then you walk over to the bar for the first few amuse bouches. Wow, what an impressive first few dishes. They play with science and truly practice culinary art in its most magnificent form. I don't want to ruin the surprise so leave it up to your imagination... or look at my pictures below :P Once the amuse bouche is done, you'll be taken to the dining room upstairs. That's where the real magic happens. There wasn't a single dish I didn't like. Everything was so fun and tasty. I was blown away by the olive palate cleanser that was made with olives in different forms (olive oil, olive oil ice cream, olive oil caviar, actual olives). Every dish was truly O-M-G. The wine pairing wasn't the best I've had, but still good. I'll forever remember this meal. I cannot say enough great thing about the staff. Each server was so friendly and polite. Everything was timed perfectly. Really a memorable dining experience from start to finish. Well worth the $$$$. Don't hesitate to book this place! Bravo, Chef Jordi Cruz. Absolutely incredible meal. I chose this restaurant as my Michelin star dining experience on my vacation. I called ahead for reservations and was told they could only fit me in on Monday at 8:30. That was fine with me since on vacation, every day is a weekend, and I'm American so a 10:00pm meal is not my ideal! We arrived a bit early, so went sat in the lounge downstairs and enjoyed a glass of cava. We were led upstairs to our table. The dining room was empty and would stay that way until we left. It was strange, but it worked out fine because the whole staff catered to us. We had the smaller tasting menu option with the wine pairing. Extraordinary! The bloody mary with the celery sorbet was unexpectedly good. It was paired with a tomato water that shocked me with its flavor, especially since I'm not generally a fan of tomato juice or bloody mary. Excellent beginning to the meal. The sweet corn taco was breathtakingly good. So light yet so decadent. That wine pairing was probably my favorite too. The scallop was perfectly cooked and flavorful. Dish after dish was placed in front of us and I was never disappointed. I wish there were more red wine pairings (there was only one), but the wine selections were all fantastic, so I can't complain too much. This is a must-have in Barcelona. Thus, assuming you make reservations early enough, the question is not whether to do so, but where to do so, and with so many choices, that can be a daunting question. After careful deliberation, I chose Angle for my fine meal, despite it having no English reviews on Yelp at the time. I can confidently say that choosing Angle was a triumph. ******Vitals****** Recognition: One Michelin star. Cuisine: Catalan cuisine with modern influences. Courses & Pricing: 2 tasting courses offered for dinner: €75\€100; They also have a €50 weekday lunch. *****Service****** Flawless, tactful, conscientious, considerate, polite, personable. Despite the high complexity of the meal, dishes are brought out in perfect pace. Waiters monitor your eating tacitly, keeping an eye on your progress without the slightest hint of intrusion. Descriptive explanations are provided with each dish, allowing you to get the most enjoyment out of what you're eating. *******Food****** I chose the smaller of the two tasting courses and even this was MORE than enough food. These 4 seemingly unfriendly flavors blended together to form an exotic combination, as if 4 puzzle pieces were clinching perfectly together over your tongue. -Chocolate textures with vanilla ice cream and hazelnuts (5/5) - If the previous dessert was risky/exotic, then this is the crowd-pleaser. This review is extremely tardy, but as my girlfriend and I prepare for a trip to Italy, we keep thinking back to our experience at Angle. We visited Angle in May 2018. Being as it was our first visit to a Michelin-starred restaurant, we weren't sure what to expect (L.A. is a Michelin deadzone). Long story short, Angle has set a high bar for our culinary adventures. A bit of background: I chose Angle because I wanted to visit a high-end restaurant, but still wanted to experience traditional Spanish flavors. There were, of course, a number of Michelin-rated restaurants in Barcelona, but Angle seemed to one of a very few that wasn't some sort of fusion concept. As it turned out, I made the right choice. Everything about Angle was exceptional. The service was impeccable; attentive, professional, but not stuffy nor rigid. We ordered a nine-course meal and my girlfriend ordered the wine pairing as well. The staff carefully explained all of the dishes and the corresponding wine pairings in English, which we appreciated greatly. The food was both adventurous and traditional. The first course was perhaps the most memorable dish I've ever had- an olive ice cream topped with a sardine filet. I was blown away by how inventive the olive ice cream was and thought the sardine was beautiful, however, my girlfriend was less enthused. The courses that followed were a blur, but standouts included the deconstructed tortilla espanola with a cured egg yolk, the morcilla croquette presented under a glass cover full of smoke, and the carrot four ways (especially the caramelized carrot puree). While I didn't partake of the wine pairings, I have never seen such an exclusive and interesting flight of wines and my girlfriend seemed to enjoy all of them (plus both of the very rare apertif shots we got with the first course). Needless to say, our walk back to our hotel was more of a saunter than anything. Having had a year or so to fully digest the experience we had at Angle, I'd have to say that I would certainly go back if I was in the neighborhood again. read more

This place is really a hidden/ underrated gem! Angle is our favorite restaurant in Barcelona, we've been there twice (both of our trips to the city) and we've been blown away during both visits. Considering this is a Michelin star restaurant, the pricing is very reasonable compared to other Michelin star restaurants that I've been to. The staff and the food are outstanding! Also, they are very accommodating of food allergies, my husband who is allergic to gluten and corn didn't feel like he was missing out at all with the substitutions they made for him, they even had special fresh baked gluten free bread for him.
