We found this place since it was near the Costco we were headed to while visiting my nephew. Literally in the parking lot. The reviews looked good so we decided to make a stop. Pleasantly surprised by what we would find. My nephew asked if the beef tongue was good but they weren't understanding so we just ordered one. He also got a carne asada taco and I got a mulita. They have a sala bar with cucumbers/radish, pickled onion and salsas. I had to try them all. They call you when it's ready. The beef tongue looked very interesting so we were skeptical about it. But after trying it, we were pleasantly surprised and he enjoyed it the most of the 2 tacos he got. The multia was only grilled on 1 side and the other tortilla was just slapped on top. All the other places we go to they grill both sides. It did have a nice cheese layer on it though. Good but would have preferred both sides grilled. Salas were good as well. Came by here yesterday when I was in Redwood City. Had a carne asada and an al pastor taco. They were solid tacos but I wouldn't put them in the "revelatory" category. There was a nice sitting area in the shade and they do provide you with some free chips which is nice for scooping out the bits that fall out while you are eating. Finally decided to try out this taco truck. It's right next to the Costco in Redwood City. When I arrived it wasn't busy yet, so service was super quick and no lines! The salsa bar was good and they had a few tables and chairs laid out for people to eat. Everything looked clean. Tried the shrimp tacos and al pastor taco (see pictures). Loved loved loved the shrimp tacos. They overloaded the taco with onions and sauces. It did have a little zing, but was also so so delish. I would totally go back for this. The Al pastor was just okay though. The pineapple flavor was subtle, some of the meat was nice and crunchy, but most of it was a little too chewy for my liking. We came back here for a take out almost a year later. They have maintained food quality. Portion size is small, so still a bit pricey food truck for the price range but they have expanded the selection of self serve condiments. We enjoyed that. This was a decent truck. As such, there's not so much in the way of ambiance, but the service was efficient and quick. Even with a short line, they were slinging orders very efficiently. This review is for their nachos. It's a hefty portion and pretty heavily sauced with sour cream, pico de gallo, green salsa, and queso-style nacho cheese i.e. the liquid style and not shredded cheese. That last part is not for everyone, but I'm down on the right occasion. The meat was pretty good and overall it has a nice level of spice. I'd get this again. read more

I LOVE IT HERE!! I've been here twice during my lunch and they gave me my food quickly and it was really hot and fresh. I asked for my quesabirrias with everything and the salsa is so yummy and they are stuffed with meat!!! It also comes with a grilled jalapeño and tostada and the consome is the perfect amount for dipping and then drinking at the end. They have a salsa bar for your choosing as well! Super nice! I was in the mood for some street tacos and this was the highest rated place around. And now I know why! It is a truck, but has a consistent set up in this parking lot. There was no one else there when I arrived around 8pm on a weeknight. They have the typical mexican fare on the menu and I got a burrito and some carne asada tacos. The food was ready pretty quicky and even though they had some tables set up there, it was too cold so I took it back to my hotel 10 minutes away. The food was still piping hot and the meat was amazing! You could really taste the smoke and that's what did it for me. The size of the burrito was huge and I couldn't finish it, shifting my focus on the tacos as those were better. They come with cilantro and onions and packed with limes, but you need to grab your own salsa before you go from their salsa bar. I highly recommend this place! read more

I happen to stumble upon this taco truck. It's in a really big plaza next to a Costco supermarket. Not sure if they move from time to time. Plenty of parking so you won't have and trouble. The service is great. The staff is very friendly and patient. They even have a chip reader so you can pay that way. Which should is the new standard in my opinion. The nachos is very good. Wow wow wow, what an unsuspecting food truck in Redwood City! Boyfriend and I needed dinner after 8:00pm and options were limited. The chicken quesadilla was absolutely delicious, full of gooey, melty cheese that looked like and tasted like the cheese in quesabirria tacos. They were hefty pieces that were warm buttery and fresh. This food truck is parked on the side of the OSH & has tables with seats around so you have the choice to hang out & eat there. The guy at the window was friendly & quickly took my order, our food was out in minutes. The quesabirias were flavorful & the consomé was tasty, paired perfectly. My boyfriend rated the burrito a 10/10 flavor all around. The only downfall of the burrito is that they don't wrap it tight enough & they only add one layer of foil so you have to make sure you're holding it right.
