They could improve everything. The salsa bowl was enough for one. The small queso is about two tablespoons. I ordered shrimp fajitas. Shrimp tasted like it was straight from the freezer to the grill. ZERO seasoning on the shrimp. Vegetable mix for the fajitas was 95% onions and a few bell pepper strips with two dime size red bell pepper. The amount of pico they gave was about a tablespoon. I didn't have one piece of tomato in it. Sour cream a teaspoon. Guacamole a teaspoon. Over priced. Over priced for what you get. Drive somewhere else to eat. Oh, the amount of chips they serve are less than any Mexican restaurant that I have been to. Salsa "spoon" bowl may have three tablespoons of salsa. I only went because my granddaughter begged me to go. She also asked for chips and queso to go for tomorrow. I got a small queso and chips. We went back in February, but this is worth noting so families with small children do not rely on this place for dinner. It took forever to have our order taken and it took forever to get our food even though we arrived at around 5 pm. They ran out of kids chicken tenders and didn't tell us until the adults' food was brought out, over an hour after ordering. They threw a bunch of battered fajita chicken on a plate and tried to pass it off as the kids meal. The server offered to get the owner. The manager came over and said the owner lives far away, so they won't be coming. Who is lying? I told him we are not paying for that chicken. He took it off our bill. Our small kids were miserably hungry, and this took 2 hours. We ended up going to Fratelli's to feed our kids, and we won't be going back to El Paso in Luling. The food was the best food I've had in a Mexican restaurant in a long time. Let's start with the atmosphere which is greatly improved with very nice comfortable furniture and decor, fitting , mid to upper range style Mexican restaurant . We were greeted instantly at the door and sat in a booth as it was our preference. The hostess was very pleasant . Chips with salsa were brought to the table immediately and my friend and I requested beans and queso and it was delivered very quickly. We ordered our food, and when it arrived, it was beautifully presented and very hot, which is a plus plus for me. I had a chicken lunch plate and my friend ordered steak fajitas. Let me just say this.... RUN!! As in yo the restaurant and definitely try all four sauces/dips!! The steak taco salad is amazing....Perfectly crisp and the steak was slap ya mama good. Nachos loco was to die for according to my fiancé his only complaint and he doesn't really want it called that but he said the nachos could use a little more queso for him but again it was something super small, and the regular steak nachos was perfect for my child who doesn't want anything to leave any juice residue on her meat and cheese only nachos. All the sides are sent out on a side plate. The Bloody Mary was PERFECT! Don't skip out on this place it's definitely worth your time!! Our waitress Casey was amazing & super attentive! We have been regulars at El Paso (My family dined at El Paso last Friday) since the restaurant opened. The last few times the service has been terrible. When we order fajitas, we expect to receive enough tortillas (more than three small soft shells). We do not expect to pay $.50 for one extra tortilla and $1.25 for a small container (sauce size container) of shredded cheese. Queso should be warm and not chunks of cheese that aren't melted. We asked the queso to be heated, and the container was delivered to the table again with cheese not melted. Finally, the cheese was melted the third time. The bill was delivered before I could ask for an extra tortilla. We ordered dessert, and the server asked, "Would you like the ice cream and churros for here or to go?" I would like ice cream to go, so the time we get home melts it, or my child can make a mess in the car. It is not worth spending over $90 ($77 + tip) for two queso's, two entrees, one dessert, two margaritas and terrible service. The two sauce containers for my son to take his queso home was the final straw. read more

We eat here quite often without issues, however; yesterday was one for the BOOKS. Aside from being painfully slow, the server dropped a plate (yes an entire PLATE) on a girls head. The food slid off onto her and another guest, right before we headed to a second chance prom event. A few minutes later, the server arrives with a small yellow rag for her to wipe off. She then disappears for 15 minutes.... Never brining the checks to us, but leaving them on a nearby table. Another one of our guests got up and walked to the table grabbing the checks and distributing them to the entire table. We then waited another 8 minutes for someone to pick up our cards. We ask for Hector as there was no apology for dropping the plate WHICH broke on a girls head and he replies "she gave you a towel." I understand being busy, I understand dropping a plate, but refusing to apologize for something that the wrong person sues over is outrageous to me. read more

Tonight we went to El Paso as we have many times before for Supper. My husband went to pick it up and brought it home we had a taco salad with Steak and Nacho Loco. The Nachos were great. The Taco Salad had much to be desired The steak was well done and it lacking on topping to really fill the Salad out. It was a huge disappointment. You can't call and tell them because the phone either doesn't work or goes to a fax. Which is probably because we are still dealing with outages from Hurricane Ida. They gave us chips in the bag but no Salsa. If this El Paso post Hurricane Ida am gonna either wait longer to eat again or just not bother again. It's to much money to waste. read more

This is one of our favorite local places to eat. I'm not a huge fan of Mexican food, but the chile relleno is excellent. My fiancé gets the chicken quesadillas. He loves them as long as it's grilled chicken. If you get the shredded chicken it is very wet and makes the dish soggy. They have 2 for 1 margaritas every night. The margaritas are great!! The atmosphere is nice. They have a band every Thursday. It's not the greatest band but it's live entertainment, so why not! I also had my fiancé's bday party with 20+ people there. They handled our large group very well! The staff are always friendly and when we sit at the bar (which we usually do) we typically have great conversations with the bar tender. They give you two types of salsa and a bean dip to go with your chips. I have been here three times already and plan to make this one of my regular spots!
