This was a special they were doing with short ribs, it was AMAZING!!! The tacos are Al Pastor, and Asada.

The food here is mostly Centro American, I see a lot of complaints and I'm confused bc my experience at Fiesta Latina has always been terrific, I go almost weekly. They have possibly the best pastor tacos in the city and awesome asada tacos. The Salvadoran tamales are especially delicious, as well as the pupusas mixtas.

It's been several months since we had breakfast here. It is still good as ever. We were not disappointed. The only thing is the service is lacking. We had to go and pay at the counter because we were finished and our server never came to see if we needed anything else. If you don't mine the servers not checking on you, make it a point to visit for breakfast. My husband and love come in for breakfast. It is hard to decide on what to get because everything is so delicious. However, my go to is the Huevos Rancheros. All the flavors blend together to create fiesta in your mouth. I also order a side of fried plantains to enjoy with a bit sugar sprinkled on top. The whole experience is worth the trip to South Kenner. He have to limit ourselves because we always overeat.

Ok, so my Venezuelan friend says I want to take you to a good Spanish restaurant and so of course the foodie in me says hell yeah! she takes me to a side of town I dont see very often and ill leave it at that. we sit by an empty stage? and the waitress comes up to take our drink order. I order a very white girl drink, iced tea. It ended up being sweet tea but I drank the liquid sugar anyway. We ordered the pork and cheese papusas, fried plantains and the sopa de marisco(seafood soup) everything was amazing! Im still dreaming about the broth. The plantains are served with creme fraiche(american terminology) and are heaven in your mouth. The papusas were good but I think next time I either wont order them again or ill doctor them up a bit. The soup contained white fish(prob tilapia),tons of shrimp, mussels and celery and onions in a coconut milk broth. Yummy! 3 people can easily share it and I happily ate my leftovers the next day. I def will return. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars bc of the decor/atmosphere. Mexican items are on the menu as well As far as the stage, it used to be a club at night but it got too rowdy

I ordered for delivery from Uber Eats and this is my first time getting food from here. I got the chimichanga and I'm not trying to be dramatic but the day I ate this chimichanga was better than the day I graduated from college. Everything tastes great, fresh, lots of flavor and the prices are great. If you haven't gotten food from here yet, you're missing out.

Great Mexican Food On the Corner This is a little gem of a place serving really good Mexican & Central American food. I have been here more than a few times over the many years and it's always really good. I ordered the beef vegetable soup and this is not the first time I have gotten it. It's the best I've had. Delicious beef flavor and the Mexican veggies are large. I also ordered one soft beef taco which is grilled steak. It too is terrific. They have a great staff of lovely waitresses that wear a smile all the time.

    My generously portioned $2.25 margarita!

A few years ago I had been to La Tia in Metairie, and it left a serious impression. What stuck with me most were the craft cocktails...creative, clever, and a little bit mischievous. I still remember one in particular: a Mexican-inspired cocktail with mezcal and beet juice that somehow managed to taste like summer decided to take a vacation south of the border. It was the kind of drink that makes you pause mid-sip and say, "Okay... whoever thought of this deserves a raise." Somehow the place drifted off my radar over time. But when the craving for Mexican food hit, it popped right back into my head. I was excited to bring my son and daughter-in-law since they had never been. Unfortunately... the reunion didn't exactly go as planned. Two things hit me immediately while looking over the menu. First: the craft cocktails were gone. Not "different." Not "updated." Just... gone. Replaced with the same drinks you see in every other Mexican restaurant. Second: the prices nearly made me spit out the water I hadn't even ordered yet. $6 for a Corona. $18 for a basic burrito with fries. $10 for a kids plate over chicken tenders and some fries. And not the old La Tia burritos either...the ones I remembered piled high with rich molé, bright verde sauces, and layers of flavor that made you wonder if you should be taking notes. Nope. Now we're talking about a plain flour tortilla with some ground meat inside, no sauce, and a side of what looked suspiciously like freezer-aisle French fries. For eighteen dollars. My daughter-in-law ordered the fajitas, and honestly... they were rough. Thin strips of overcooked meat that looked like they had taken a brief vacation in a plastic bag before hitting the grill...served on a plate. Lately I've gotten into the habit of pulling up Yelp photos to compare dishes from past years, and I did exactly that. I found a photo of the same fajitas from about three years ago...big, juicy steak pieces, sizzling on cast iron and full of life. What we got looked like it came from a completely different restaurant. To be fair, my shrimp tacos were actually pretty good. Nicely cooked shrimp, decent flavor, and probably the lone bright spot of the night. But overall, it felt like the La Tia I loved had quietly packed up and left the building. The elevated Mexican food? Gone. The rich sauces? Gone. The inventive cocktails that made the bar worth sitting at? Also gone. In their place: food that feels pulled from a bag... at prices that feel pulled from a luxury menu. It's a tough thing when a restaurant you once loved loses its spark. But sadly, this visit felt less like a reunion and more like running into an old friend who has completely changed--and not for the better. As much as I hate to say it, I don't see myself returning to La Tia anytime soon. Turns out the only thing that stayed spicy... was the price tag.

Decided to sit at the bar so I can get in and out quickly and have a little margarita. My server/bartender wasn't very attentive at all. I had to get his attention a few times for service because he was in his whole the whole time. I ordered a margarita that to me was okay, but it tasted much better after I asked to have a flavor added to it. I think it was hibiscus. I only got 2 tacos. The fish and shrimp. The fish was a little bland for my taste but the sauces and add ons saved it. This was an okay experience, I'm writing this place off. I plan to give them another shot and try some of their other menu items.

My sister moved to Louisiana two years ago and has always said it's been hard to find truly great food, so we were excited to give this place a try--and it exceeded every expectation. The woman who took our order was one of the sweetest people we've met. She was so welcoming, patient, and made us feel right at home, which made the whole experience even better. The tostones were perfection--served hot and crispy on the outside while staying soft and fluffy on the inside. The breakfast arepa was outstanding and paired perfectly with the fresh cilantro dipping sauce. Every bite was packed with flavor, and you could tell everything was made with care. The restaurant itself was spotless, bright, and inviting, creating such a comfortable atmosphere to enjoy a meal. Great food, amazing service, and a clean environment are the perfect combination. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an unforgettable breakfast. It was hands down one of the best breakfasts I've ever had, and I can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!

The waitresses were kind and quick to take my order. I ordered a simple fried fish and a queso for an appetizer. The queso was simple and just ok. The salsas were not spiced at all and were very watery. The dish came and it was extremely greasy, I get that it's a fried dish but at least let some of the oil drip off before plating. I used several napkins to try to take off some of the excess oil. The fries were very soggy and not seasoned at all and the fish looked appetizing but when I bit into it, it had no flavor whatsoever. The texture was there and it looked like it was going to taste good but it fell extremely short in taste. On the flip side, the beans were overly seasoned. The rice was also lacking salt. I felt bad when the waitress came to ask me how everything was. I had to tell her that they completely forgot to season my food. She apologized and I said it wasn't her fault and asked for my check and told her she might want to tell the chef to not forget the salt next time. Overall the place was nice for group gatherings, although the music was a little loud, they also had several TVs playing different things. Maybe I selected the wrong dish but I have to say I won't be going here again when I want a good Mexican seafood. I'll have to check out their other dishes and hope they're much better. For now they won't be added on my places to frequent during my work trips.
