Heard alot of great things about this place so had to stop by! Weekend dinner is definitely packed so there was wait but went by fairly fast. I ordered the pick two with a beef enchilada and a chicken quesadilla. The beef enchilada was great & the meat was flavorful & not dry! The chicken quesadilla was okay. The cheese was not fully melted all the way through & didn't have much flavor but nothing a little hot sauce couldn't solve. The complimentary salsa was amazing!!! I like how the chips here are the thicker ones vs extremity thin ones at other places. Beans & rice was standard - nothing new here. Service was extremely nice & food came out fairly fast. Indoor dining is limited as the space is smaller-ish.

This was the best price for any meal we have had in the area since we lived here. It's a little bit of a drive for us but completely worth it. Drinks and dinner for four was $140! The food was amazing. We had leftovers for two days. And the burritos...huge! Our waitress kept up with the drinks and was very sweet. The bathrooms were clean and the whole place was well kept. Overall a great place with colorful decor and awesome food.

So glad I finally found this place! Tucked away from the hustle of the mall area, it was a nice escape from holiday shopping. We arrived right after opening and the location was very clean with attentive employees. Service was very fast even though we were trying to relax a bit. The chori-mixto was a hit! They give so many tortillas I was able to take some home for dinner. Jose's mariachi burrito presentation almost made my son not want to open it up! Burrito was packed with deliciousness. Hope the other locations are as good as this one.

If you've read any of my reviews, you already know I love a good California burrito -- especially one loaded with French fries. If you're anything like me, let me introduce you to El Paso Mexican Restaurant and their massive surf and turf burrito. This San Diego-style monster is stuffed with grilled steak, shrimp, French fries, pico de gallo, cheese, and avocado slices, and it's served with rice and beans on the side. It's so delicious and addicting that I could honestly eat it every day. Meanwhile, my husband really enjoyed the spicy enchiladas ranchera. After all these years, we've never had a bad meal or experience here. Consistently great food and a place we'll always come back to

Our waiter is Brian! Very nice and respectful. Our 1st time here, i only took a picture of their chips (bery colorful) which is interesting lol. I ordered Carne Asada with shrimp and some tacos (Birria, steak and some chicken) for my peer. We both are satisfied and pleased cos its very tasty. Thanks for the people who prepared our food as well. We'll see you soonest

    Lunch special chicken fajita

Went for lunch. Good priced lunch specials with good portion size. Service is good, restaurant could be a little brighter inside. I ordered the chicken fajita lunch special. Chicken had good flavor, but was very dry. Not sure if tortillas are homemade. Does not look homemade. Everything tasted kind of bland. Overall not bad experience. I might give this place another try.

Visited El Paso for the first time. There are two different seating areas. The front area is a lot brighter. The back area was not as good with lighting. Chips and salsa were brought to the table right away. I was not sure what I wanted so the chips and salsa hit the spot. I ended up ordering the quesadilla Hawaiana which was a quesadilla with chorizo, pineapple and chicken. The quesadilla was massive and could easily be shared by two people. I also ordered a frozen margarita that was served with a Mexican popsicle. The popsicle added a nice touch to the margarita once it started to melt. The service was great and seems like a place to go if you are in the mood for some Mexican cuisine.

As a lover of Mexican food, this restaurant is exactly what I would envision. Great portions, greasy delicious food, and wonderful accommodation staff. The appetizer of elote was so fantastic, sometimes I still dream about it. The drink were very good and they have a good happy hour. The only downside was we were celebrating a birthday and I was told El Paso did some sort of birthday thing for its guests (clapping for them or something). I could've been misinformed, but it didn't take away from the fun and full bellies! Definitely will be going back!

The food was very good and the waitstaff was excellent. It looks like a real Mexican Cantina. The portions were over the top and the 3 of us all took some home! This is truly down home Mexican. The prices were very reasonable.

Paying for beans that were terrible
    Roberto M.

Please don't order the black beans. They were the worst I've had in my life and when I expressed that to the server she confirmed I'd still have to pay for them even after only eating one fork. The rest of the food wasn't bad but if you're like me one thing can alter the meal. I'll give them a solid 2 of 5.

Great experience and awesome food. Live music playing, small restaurant. Service was a little slow but the food was great. We ordered birria tacos and chicken&cheese enchiladas. The queso dip was also delicious. Would definitely return!

Parking is a bit tight at this restaurant, but the restaurant itself has plenty of tables. Very vibrant decor and design. The service was a bit slow, but the food came out fairly quickly. Overall, it was an okay place to eat.

The pollo al carbón taco was good and well seasoned. Ordering was a little confusing. There is a bar in the middle and the register is on the back right side. I was told to sit down and that my food would be brought out, but I ended up having to go grab it myself while solo dining and risking losing my table. I also skipped a margarita because the bar was very busy. Sports were on the TV though, which was a big plus. Overall a solid spot, just could use a clearer ordering flow.

I didn't know they had a bar and was a sit down- I always thought taco bamba was a fast food, grab & go. But they have a bar and plenty of tables and table service! We got the classic margarita, mango faux-garita, and Paloma. My classic margarita had a gnat in it but they remade it...I don't think it was the same drink, but good nonetheless. The flautas were a little dry but the nachos and the other fries were delicious. We wanted to get the chocolate chip churro cookie but they were all out. Our waitress was the only one waiting tables and making drinks and running all over the place- all while keeping a smile on her face- hats off to her! Would return! Especially for happy hour!

I ate inside at a booth with friends on Easter Sunday. I ordered my usual Lengua Tacos with Mexican rice & sides of salsa & sour cream. The rice was good and the lengua meat was good & succulent or semi dry / not so juicy. I probably wouldn't order lengua here again but I would definitely try other food offered. I love the great deals for lunch menu specials. I ordered two takeouts of : 1. Two tamales with beans, queso, & rice ($11.99) 2. Lunch Chimichanga ( Fried burrito with choice of beef or chicken, topped with queso, lettuce, guacamole, sour cream and tomatoes. Served with a side of rice and beans - $12.00 These takeouts were full portions of food in large takeout containers - very happy . My husband scarfed down his takeout food in silence- a sign that the food was amazing. I ate the tamales with beans and rice later for a good dinner. Highly satisfied. There are always lines for bathroom . Only two stalls are available . Definitely need a larger bathroom. The decor in the restaurant were very colorful and made me smile. The seated dining booths were comfy. Very cheerful place and colors everywhere. Great place to sit down with family & friends.

We were invited to join friends here for Cinco De Mayo…read more As you might expect, El Paso was jammed packed with people sipping brightly-colored drinks sitting in chairs along the sidewalk. Curiously, El Paso was playing music on the sidewalk, but the music was of some pop strain and definitely not Mexican. For such a hectic evening, service inside was surprisingly good. This was our third visit here. We swore we wouldn't come back after the last time here when our expensive and tiny tequila shots came in shot glasses where the bottom of the glass was halfway to the top of the glass. But hey, who were we to turn down a free Cinco De Mayo dinner? So back here we were. Somebody at our table mentioned that the El Pasos in the DMV were not all owned by a single person, that the brothers in the family had a falling out so these El Pasos have different owners now. That would explain why the El Paso next to Five Guys up on Richmond Highway has such different menus and service. Our favorite El Paso remains the location in Springfield. I went with the birria tacos. They were fat and tasty and came with a great dipping sauce. They also came with rice and beans on a separate plate. A kind of white queso fundido was ordered for the table to go with the brightly colored tortilla chips. This cheese sauce was more like gravy than a true queso fundido. Parking is tight but you will always find parking in back near other businesses.
