Hidden gem in a shopping plaza. Plenty of parking. Came on a Friday afternoon. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The Restaurant was clean, and not too busy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Dayana was our server and she was excellent. She was multitasking between taking orders and bartending. And she did a great job. We ordered a couple margaritas to start, and they were made well. For food, we opted with the birria pizza, a shrimp birria taco to try, and esquites. The birria pizza was 8.5/10. It came out fresh and had a great taste. The consumme was delicious . My only complaint would be the thickness of the "pizza". It was on the thinner side, and basically like two quesadillas put together. Other than that, it was still great. The shrimp birria was a 8/10. It seemed u only get 3 shrimp per taco, but they were seasoned well and paired great with the birria. I wanted to try based on the picture in the window. Didnt quite look the same, but i was pleased with the taste. Lastly, the esquites. I originally asked did they have elote, and Dayana informed me they had esquites, which was a new menu item. It came out well after our other food, and the first try, i'd give it a 2/10. The ingredients weren't proportionate at all, and it lacked flavor. Dayana didnt hesitate to take it back. She apologized and told us someone in training made the first one, but a manager was offering to remake it, free of charge. Excellent customer service. Shoutout to Evelyn who remade the esquites for us, and made sure it was right. It was 10x better!!! (Pictures will show old vs new esquites). Thank you again to Dayana and Evelyn for making my first visit enjoyable! Cant wait to return to try more items.

I can only review for the birria tacos but I know I will be returning to try other items on the menu. Their birria tacos have to be one of the best i've tried around the area in terms of taste. In terms of cost, an order of 3 tacos for over $15 seems a little up there to me but I know some spots that charge for the consome and they include the consome with their price. Tacos tasted very fresh made to order. My favorite part about these tacos is that the shell stays crispy and the tacos are not overall oily and hold shape. They also kindly provide chips and salsa complimentary to your meal. Great spot feels like I found a hidden gem.

I actually found this place from Tiktok and the hype is real!!! The pupusa birria was amazing. Great menu and great service. Highly recommend!

We had the chicken and steak fajitas and the steak was rubbery and the whole skillet was flavorless. We also had the Santa Fe burrito and sauce it was drowning in was not good at all. We were not happy at all with either meals.

I would absolutely NEVER go back there ! I got two tacos and a birria burrito and threw up everything ! Cross contamination ! They need to clean their utensils when cooking . Also they didn't have a drink menu . The waitress said they didn't have a happy hour then said it was over at 5. Beverage option was a can soda .

The pupusas and tacos are a must. They're probably some of the better tacos you can get around the Landmark area. I did order their Birria Fries, and I had mixed feelings. The meet and toppings themselves were delicious; however, the fries were soggy and actually cold. I would definitely have enjoyed it way more if it was hot and crispy. I've also had the Birria tacos and Birria ramen during another visit. I'd definitely recommend them!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great hole in the wall spot with welcoming feeling![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] As a Texan in Virginia, this was a great Tex-Mex fix, particularly for someone missing some good birria!

The food was delicious I enjoyed myself it was so excited I forgot to post my first review. They were very nice accommodating and the food was delicious again. Oh yes the Music was nice too nice hits playing in the background. Lighting also was great.

The food is amazing here as well as the service. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor is also delightful as well as the music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This place is truly a hidden gem. #teamdayana

Rice and beans had no flavor. The stake was definitely old. Definitely a lot of opportunity for food to taste better.

We ordered two taco salads, and while they looked decent at first, they were incredibly disappointing. They were basically all lettuce--and not even fresh lettuce. It was dry and wilted. Each salad had only four shrimp, a few pieces of tomato, and a small scoop of sour cream. The server told us they came with beans, but when the food arrived, the beans were hidden underneath the shell instead of actually being part of the salad. To make matters worse, there wasn't even any rice, which is something you'd reasonably expect with a taco salad. The chicken was dry and overcooked, making an already disappointing meal even worse. The biggest shock was the bill: nearly $60 for two taco salads that were skimpy on ingredients and lacked even the most basic components. For that price, you'd expect a satisfying, well-made meal--not something that feels like it was thrown together with the bare minimum. This was a complete waste of money. I wouldn't come back, and I definitely wouldn't recommend this place. Save your money and eat somewhere else--you'll get much better food for the same price.

We arrived at 4:03 p.m. and left by 4:46 p.m. Our plan was to relax at the bar, enjoy happy hour margaritas, have appetizers, then dinner while watching the soccer match--a leisurely vacation evening. The hospitality, unfortunately, was lacking. Although our bartender wasn't rude, she seemed to be in a constant rush to get us to order, despite the restaurant being relatively quiet with only a few tables occupied. We even mentioned that we were hoping to enjoy a slow, relaxing evening, but we still felt hurried throughout our visit. The happy hour margaritas were very lime-forward with very little tequila. We switched to a regular menu margarita ("The Perfect"), but even that tasted weaker than expected. As tequila fans, we were disappointed. We also found the food to be far from authentic Tex-Mex. Having lived in San Antonio, I realize that's a high standard, but this didn't come close to what we expected. In the end, we asked for our food to go and left. We found another restaurant where we could relax and enjoy the kind of hospitality we had been looking for. I don't enjoy leaving critical reviews, but this was a disappointing experience, and unfortunately, I can't recommend it.

We had the entire upstairs area to ourselves, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant was clean, and I loved the mini fans placed throughout the space--perfect if you're feeling a little too warm or have enjoyed a few drinks! As for the service, it was a bit hit-or-miss. The young lady who took our orders was pleasant, but it took quite a while for drinks to come out. There were also several missing items from people's orders, which caused some frustration since those items had been ordered well in advance. Now, onto the food--the real star of the experience! Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals and had great things to say. I ordered a salmon taco, which I actually saved and ate the next day for lunch, and it was still delicious. The queso, however, wasn't a favorite among our group. On the other hand, the chips and salsa were a hit. The mocktails were excellent, and everyone seemed to enjoy their cocktails as well. Despite a few service hiccups, the food, drinks, and atmosphere made for a great experience. I would definitely visit again.

The accompanying salsa was tasty. We also liked the queso dip that we ordered as a side. JP ordered the attractively presented breakfast burrito and found it to be very good. The rest of us ordered the ground beef enchiladas. They come with Mexican rice and refried black beans. I thought the enchiladas were good but really needed substantially more cheese and red sauce because they were kinda dry. But there was a question about the preparation of the margaritas. JP requested his first margarita be agave free (i.e. not sweet). It turned out great. But when JP and our friend ordered another round, the second round was yellowish orange instead of green, and they were sweet. Our server insisted the margaritas were made the same way the second time. She did agree to have them re-made, but the remade ones were identical to the ones that we sent back. Since I don't drink margaritas and don't have a vested interest in that aspect of Tacos and Tequila, I'd like to come back to further explore their menu.

We were greeted and seated immediately when we arrived. There were maybe 3 or 4 tables total occupied during our visit so not too busy on a Sunday afternoon. There is outdoor seating as well. Our server, who was very friendly, hyped the premium margarita so we gave in and said yes. We also tried the passionfruit margarita. The premium was strong but that's probably what you're going for anyway The passionfruit margarita was delicious but not strong at all. We tried the chips and dip and the Platanos Fritos (plantains with sour cream) to start. Chips were fresh and hot. Salsa was a bit creamy. Never had it like this before but the taste was pretty good. Plantains were perfect! While we didn't order the Guac ( Guacamole Molcajete) , it was brought to our table. We found it to be on the bland side with no hints of cilantro, onion, lime or salt. We saw a few bits of tomato but it tasted just like a plain smashed avocado. Not something we would order again. We decided to try all the street tacos except the vegetarian so we could taste everything. Steak, chicken, fish, shrimp, ground beef, pork (al pastor), carnitas. We also got the 3 street taco platter that came with the Mexican rice and beans. We found the shrimp and fish tacos to be lacking in the quantity of meat. But they were flavorful. The chicken, while plentiful, was dry even with the sauce. The steak, al pastor and carnitas were all packed with meat and delicious but both our Al Pastor tacos were missing the pineapple. The ground beef was my personal favorite but was very greasy. The Mexican rice and pinto beans....Both were just ok. Overall, food was ok we were expecting a bit more flavor. Service was great. Pricing was a bit higher than what we usually pay for a similar order.
