I've been to wing places serving every 4th wing still has a feather (yuck) or overly breaded or salted. Not this place! These wings have an incredible crispy texture but still hot and flavorful. I was considering 12 wings or more just so I could try different flavors but I settled on an 8 piece combo. Instead of fries I elected fried corn seasoned with Cajun seasoning. Very tasty. For the wings , I chose two flavors I wasn't experienced with: 1st salted egg. This was a very interesting flavor that had a powdery texture but a finish that wasn't overly salty but incredibly flavorful. The 2nd was Buldak & Gochujang and that was sweet and savory with a light touch of heat. These flowers really intensify the perfectly cooked chicken. The presentation was also well placed. I never thought I would give 5 stars to a chicken wing place but anything less would be unfair to the cook/chef and staff of this place. Restaurant and bathrooms were very clean and staff very friendly and accommodating. My only frustration is ... I'm visiting from Denver so I can't get this place without a flight or 900 mile drive. A bite of empanada with some of their house made hot sauce is a bite of heaven. Service was so sweet and kind, attentive but in a respectful way. This is truly a family run spot and I felt like I was a guest in their home being given a home cooked meal made with love. The restaurant is clean and cozy. The bathrooms included. And there is plentiful street parking in front and the surrounding areas. A gem in the suburbs that shouldn't be hidden. I was the only dine-in customer and the ambiance is barebones with checkered plastic tablecloths, diner-style chairs and only one printed menu at the register. Several specials were on chalk boards and it was "Soul Food Saturday" but I did not try their collared greens or other specials which did include a half chicken that I wish was on the main menu. The BBQ is solid but one hour away Chicago has nothing to worry about. The meat is tender and flavorful and the chicken sausage was delicious but seasoned with a bit too much rosemary. One disappointment was that the meat came covered in a semi-sweet BBQ sauce and there was none on the table and no option for a mustard, vinegar-based or other sauce, so I hope you're satisfied with exactly what you're given. While I was there I was given a sizable side of their tender pot roast and roasted vegetables. Both were excellent. Overall I think you will be very pleased if not blown away.

There are utensils and ketchup available for self-service. The chicken fingers were cooked well, but with mild seasoning (one level above plain), there wasn't much flavor at all. With the chicken sandwich, there was an okay amount of flavor, but definitely not a flavor bomb. Plus, the chicken piece was noticeably slimmer than Dave's or Hangry Joe's.
