This El Polo Loco (on California and Ontario) has the BEST Double Chicken Tostada. I have gone to several other locations and they're nothing like this place. Here it is fresh and has all the ingredients. Other locations throw it together missing items that are to be included and it doesn't look or taste fresh. I used to Come here all the time because the chicken was amazing!! But the last few times, the chicken has been burned and so dry that we had to go back. It's so uncomfortable going in to complain. Ordered thru the drive thru with 92 Vanessa, nice young lady, to bad they could not get my 4 items correctly to me. I ordered 2 double chicken tostada salads, 1 double chicken bowl, and 1 street corn chicken tostada. 4 items. The receipt was correct. When I got my order at the drive thru I noticed only 1 item in a tostada bowl, there should have been 3 tostada bowls, then every item did not have the correct ingredients in them, some had corn that should not have had. Total mess up. When I told Vanessa about the tostadas she gave me 2 tostada bowls. And this is not the first time they have messed up my order. But this is the last time I eat here. El Pollo Loco is right... you have to be "Loco" to pay good money for this food. We've been several times , but tonight was the final straw. We purchase an eight piece with two side and the Chicken pieces weren't even recognizable. It was all hacked up and had a few pieces tossed in that may have been part of a neck. The overall condition of what we did receive was very poor quality. The wings were skin and bones, and the two breast and thighs were chopped and didn't appear to be whole piece. If this wasn't bad enough, we didn't they give us two side choices we didn't ask for. There are a lot of choices in the area. A KFC is in the same center and a Flame Broiler is across the street. Free food, coupons or just feeling sorry for them couldn't drag me back. I truly don't know how this location stays in business. Update: El Pollo immediately commented on my post so I gave them a call. I told them that I since this is a franchise store, I'd like to speak with the District Mgr. about the number of 1 star reviews the location is receiving, the poor quality of food that is being severed and the ongoing type of service the community is receiving. I pointed out that I'm not looking for a free meal, but as a business owner too I know that the only way to bring about change and improvement is to make others aware of problems. They used to be good, but lately they get your order wrong more often than not. They dont give you the salsa you ask for. Last time they gave me no salsa even though I specifically asked for it. This time I asked for 4 of each of the three salsa, a birria meal, a quesadilla, alcarbon tacos a taco salad and tortilla soup. They shoved everything in one bag smooshing all the food. They gave me three salsas total which I couldnt tell because of the atrocious packaging so I asked and they told me they put it all in the bag which clearly they didnt . I ended up recieving no birria burrito, an extra quesadilla I did not ask for, the soup which was a hot drippy mess, and tacos. Can't complain. Good. Healthy. Love the marinade. The meat is tender, usually. And the grilled chicken skin, well, we fight over it. The grilled chicken salad is one of my favorites, especially when drowned in their cilantro dressing. And a couple of large cups filled with ranchero beans finishes off the meal. Yum! We also always give ourselves a pat on the back for not eating something fried. And that is exactly what El Pollo delivers. Decent, reasonably priced foods and combos. Rosie is an angel. I had a horrible experience with door dash when there driver delivered the wrong food. Door Dash would not issue me a refund and told me I had to contact the store directly ( la Sierra location) . I could not get a hold of this location so I tired this store. Rosie when above and beyond to help me out. She called the store as well as employees she knew from that location. She was unable to get a hold of anyone. She stayed on the phone with me for at least 30 minutes trying to help me out. She then asked me what I ordered. She ended up sending my whole order to my home so that my family could eat. On May 20,2020 had to go back 3 x because they messed up the order to go no compensation today Thursday May 21 they messed up entire order when I got there they only had 3 drinks not all 4 so had to argue that point they get the drinks wrong and then they forget one of the meals and removed rice from all the bowls when it was only 2 of the 4 and we were shorted a bowl. No compensation was made for the last 2 days . Awful management should have comp the meals today and nada but 3 errors and try's yesterday and again with multiple errors I'm done Never again poor business skills and management. read more

The staff here really seems like they don't want to be there. I understand most people probably aren't happy being at work but like, the staff here seems like super detached and distracted. Every time we spoke to our cashier, she literally kept asking "What?" And "Sorry, what was that?". I think she was new but she just seemed super distracted/out of it. It wasn't really TOO big of a deal though since she got our order right anyway. The chicken here is pretty good. The place is also fairly clean. I don't think I've ever had a real complaint here. The salsa bar is a little small compared to other locations. Aside from the staff, this place is just like any other El Pollo Loco. I usually try not to give chain restaurants/fast food places low ratings since I mean, what are you expecting from places like these? 5 star quality food? Lmao. Stopped by here to pick up dinner while in town to visit my uncle and grandmother. We went with two family meals that came with the new avocado salads. The restaurant itself was clean, including the salsa bar, which is often hard to keep clean. The staff was really friendly and efficient. The worker who helped me, I think his name was Shahzeb, foreign name but very interesting. He was nothing but helpful to me my whole experience. When I first walked to the register, I received nothing but hospitality and the comforting voice of a strong man saying, "Hello sir, what would you like to order?". I got my regular, the Mac and cheese, and the service was so quick. I had that mac in my hands in under a minute. Shahzeb also gave me a wonderful sauce recommendation to put on my mac and it was wonderful. I don't know if it was just me, but when I saw Shahzeb pour the that mac n cheese on my plate, it was so much more creamy. He even said bye to me when I left! I drove 15 min to this Pollo loco, to wait in the drive thru which was 10min just to order the girl taking the orders would take your order then have you go to the window and the car behind you had to wait till you were out the drive-through before u got to order .instead she should take everybody's order and have them waiting at the pick up window like any other fast food chain instead of having the line sticking out past the front door. She shouldn't of even asked if I wanted corn or flour tortillas with my family pack because she didn't give me them, they got my salsas wrong didn't give me the condiments to my pozole, no utensils no napkins. and the chicken was very dry (overcooked). Although this is one of my favorite fast food restaurants, I have encountered. Few problems that need to be addressed. It was Monday 9-23-13 and my dad brought me dinner. Knowing that it already was unhealthy; I took the first bite. On the outside, it looked like normal chicken; but on the inside was a completely raw chunk of chicken. So I threw that price away, the second chicken I took a bite of was fine; but then.... Another raw piece.. Unbelievably raw. As if it was not even cook at all. I had a good experience here with a new menu item I saw in a coupon ad and wanted to try. I think it's a seasonal menu. The shrimp bowl with rice and broccoli. It was delicious by surprise! The bowl was around $8 without the coupon which is a bit much by itself with no combo and drink. But it was good and tasty and the coupon made it only $5!
