How is this place staying in business? Every time I go there I am disappointed. Yesterday, I went and got a leg and thigh combo meal, which comes with two sides but no drink (btw their drinks are overpriced). When I looked at what I received (for a pretty high price I'd say for what you get) I was disappointed. I did not get a leg but I got two 'thighs' instead. I can guarantee that the two pieces of thigh meat I received was ONE thigh CUT IN HALF. To boot, the chicken was pretty old and dry. I suggest going to Costco, or anywhere else for that matter, and getting a whole, juicy, chicken for four bucks less. read more

My family and I enjoy a good meal at the loco. Sometimes it's better than others but usually pretty good. Usually buy the 12 pc meal and make burritos. Have also tried the BRC burritos and other items on the menu. read more

They close at 10pm. I came at 9:15pm. They were "out of rice," which is code for "too laze to make more" since they were closing in 45 minutes. I wasn't happy I drove over only to be turned away, but management got back to me and made things right. Great food and usually done right. Really nice new location. read more

BETTER THAN CHIPOTLE. Chipotle is soooooo over-rated and if you're a UVU student like me, then go to El Pollo Loco. (It's closer to the UVU campus.) The food is great when hungry and the employees are mostly Spanish speakers, as far as I could tell. This location is pretty fun, and I love the layout of the place. I went to my first El Pollo Loco in the Compton, CA area in 1988. I've been a big fan ever since. However, if you've read my review of the Lehi, El Pollo Loco then you'll know I haven't let my enthusiasm for the brand, cloud my judgement. This store is new. It sits in the parking lot in front of Toys R Us and Ashley Furniture. The inside and outside were a shiny as a new penny. Hopefully the management will work hard to keep it looking that way! There are lots of items on the menu board to look at. A LOT more than in 1988! Don't get lost in all those burritos, salads, $5 menus and soups. All you need to know is order the two or three piece dinner plate with two sides. Get the pinto beans and rice. The plate comes with one package of two flour tortillas. (Corn tortillas or corn chips are optional. Stick with the flour tortillas.) Two small flour tortillas are not enough, so pony up and ask for a couple more packages of flour tortillas. After you've ordered go to the salsa bar and stock up on salsa and cilantro. Pick up your order and go to your table. Oh, and don't forget to ask for a bunch of those little handi wipes (four should do ya.) Get some paper napkins also. So now your at your table looking at the most delicious chicken in the world. See all that seared and charred meat and skin? Doesn't it smell heavenly? Your not going to see or smell any of that if you order a burrito or salad, believe me. Now, the fun begins. Take out a flour tortilla. Tear some or that hot, seared to perfection chicken and lay it on the totrtilla. Now take your fork and scoop up some beans or rice and lay it on the tortilla next to the chicken. Next, sprinkle some fresh chopped cilantro over the chicken. Finally add your favorite salsa or avacado salsa to the mix. Fold the tortilla over and roll it tight! Now, before you take a bite, pull your plate close to the edge of the table. Lean over that plate. Tilt your freshly made burrito so one end is lower than the end your going to put in your mouth. See all the salsa and bean juices running out and landing on your plate? Try to keep that off your freshly washed and pressed shirt!!!!! Ok, take your first bite. Mmmmm. Can it get any better than that? The only thing to do now is to eat and repeat the process until you've devoured all that chicken. That's how El Pollo Loco intended you to eat their chicken all those years ago, when they opened their first store. Oh, and by the way......they have really good ice cold Coke here. The way it should be.....sweet! Not that bitter taste when they are trying to make the syrup go as far as they can, so they give you more carbonated water than they should. Just good, ice cold Coke, the true and honest way it was intended to be served. I've said too much. Go try El Pollo Loco for yourselves and enjoy the best chicken out there. They don't need cows on billboards that can't spell, because they only sell the best and freshest grilled to perfection chicken out there. read more

Yes it's totally good chicken but the reason I have to give it a 3 is bcz you have to try Pollo Royo and Brasas Grill which are fairly close proximity to one another seems right this rating should be based on close by competitors. Also not rating this joint according to price or service this rating is strictly on taste! Grilled chicken taste and that's all. It's good but you gotta try Brasas Grill and Pollo Royo. It's like cola. You can't just try Coca Cola and give a fair rating without trying Pepsie, Shasta or RC cola. Polo loco is definitely good and better than any fast food place any day and healthy and very affordable. There's something for everyone, variety of salsas to choose from. There churros are delicious they have a nice selection of drinks. So overall you won't be disappointed I just gotta rate this by the rest of the grill chicken places in the county. read more

Worst chicken salad ever. We went through the drive thru --- ordered the chicken avacado salad --- we could barely see an avocado. And the chicken was terribly dry. Plus it looked like we got bits and pieces of last weeks chicken. The lettuce was all that looked normal. We won't be going back. Chili's and Costa Vida is half a block away. read more

El Pollo Loco is finally here! My wife and I always make sure to stop by El Pollo Loco whenever we go to California. Their chicken breast is the best, and it is really always fresh. Quite disappointed. I ordered a family meal for a large hungry family expecting thigh and leg chicken but about a third of the chicken was small dinky wings. Got screwed on that one. Then they didn't give me any utensils and had to go back when i asked twice. Finally, I'm just frustrated and what to eat the chips and guacamole and they didn't even give me that!! The prices were wrong on the menu as well now! 4 dollars more. Used to love this place, but it's almost comical how back this experience was. read more
