It was my first time trying The Smoked Taco. The vibe was casual and laid-back. I tried the Surf & Turf, the BLT taco, and the churro fries. The Surf & Turf sounded promising, but it didn't quite live up to expectations. The steak and shrimp were fine, but nothing particularly stood out, and there were fewer pieces of shrimp than I thought there'd be. Again, it wasn't bad, just not as memorable as I hoped it would be. The BLT taco also fell a bit flat. It wasn't terrible, but it felt kind of basic and underwhelming compared to what you might expect from a specialty taco shop. For the price, I wouldn't order it again. The churro fries, though, were good -- crisp, warm, and coated in cinnamon sugar. The whipped cream that came with it was delicious as well (I'm not usually a fan of whipped cream). The portion was really big; definitely enough for four people to share. Overall, the experience had some hits and misses. The service was good. I didn't have to wait long before I got my food. The staff members were helpful and friendly.

I've always been a big fan of the Smoked Taco. This location is just always a miss. First off, the water/ice always tastes like chemicals. It's like there is something wrong with the machine and it's been that way since they opened. I always want to have a good experience but it just disappoints. The Bang Bang is decreasing its shrimp every time I get it. It's also always cold. I don't get it. I feel like their tacos just aren't as good as they used to be. The flavors are lacking and the amount of meat.

This place is great. Yummy upscale tacos. The service is quick and the employees are friendly. My favorite taco to get that I recommend is the fleeing Californian. They also have a cheese quesadilla you can get for little kids and it's on $2.

Hey! Giving a 3 star because I was 2 frustrated to really try and enjoy my food once I got it. It took over 30 minutes to get my food. It didn't feel like there was a ton of motivation to get food out and I had to ask a couple of times where I was at in line. There were multiple people next to me waiting as well and you could totally feel the frustration as multiple people had to keep asking for an update. There is a lot of competition in the area for food options, so I don't know if I will try it again..... don't use my review on the food itself, just know that you may be waiting an extended amount of time for your food. If you go in with that understanding, you may not get as frustrated as I was and you can try and enjoy your meal. I ate my food as quickly as possible as I had to get back to work.

I got here on a weekday during lunch, and there were plenty of tables available (at least 7)! There was no line and I could order immediately. I ordered the gringo, smoking pastor, fleeting Californian and bang bang. The tacos were made shortly after (less than. All the tacos were just average. The worst was the Bang Bang. It was filled with sauce and made the taco so soggy and hard to eat.

The cashier was very nice and when I asked if I had time to walk over to sipn she let me know there was an order ahead of me and I should have plenty of time. I'm not a big taco person but these were delicious! The barbacoa had too many onions for me but like an adult I scooped them off and ate it. The tacos were full of flavor. All the colors inside were bright! I wish they had a second menu hanging up behind the counter or somewhere when you're ordering. They do have some to go menus but would be nice to just be able to look without taking a menu.

Came on a weekday at lunch time and it was not super busy. Food came out really quickly and the place seemed pretty clean aside from the floor that was especially sticky that day. I ordered the bang bang, fleeting Californian, gringo, the smoking pastor. The bang bang had way too much sauce which made everything soggy and difficult to eat. My favorite was the fleeting Californian as it tasted very fresh. Overall I would say that it was very average but a bit expensive for what I ordered.

I will say, this is NOT fast food. They make the food fresh to order so do not expect to have a fast drive-thru. We waited quite some time but I have no complaints about that because of the freshness of the food. Additionally, we ordered a side of rice but the nice gentleman at the window told us that as they were cooking the rice, they decided after doing quality control, it just wasn't up to par with their standards. So, he offered us a refund on the side of rice and they filled the taco salad with all the other yummy stuff. We appreciated the honesty and would rather a refund than to be sold yucky rice! As far as the food goes, it was all fantastic. The taquitos hit the spot and had guacamole, cheese, and lettuce. I'd for sure get them again! The refried beans were hot and flavorful. The beef in the taco was juicy and fresh. We will definitely try the taco salad again when they have better rice so we can get the full experience but the chicken was super juicy and flavorful. We are happy to have stumbled upon this place and grateful they're open for our late night cravings. We will definitely be back!

I really tried to like this place...but I have to be honest…read more Let's start with the good--the bbq vibe was strong (country music, chalkboards with drawings, bbq smell wafting thru the air). Now for the not-so-good. We usually call ahead because we have a few family members with food allergies. We called ahead and everything sounded kopacetic. We arrived and ordered our food. One member of our 6 person party ate a couple of fries (which she asked about ahead of time due to her allergies) and she noticed something different about the fries. We asked one of the workers if they put something on the fries because they were crispy on the outside. The worker said "I don't think so." We asked if he could check to be sure so he went to ask. He came back and said "it's just crispy coating." So again we asked "can you tell us what is in the crispy coating because we are trying to avoid an allergic reaction." He replied "it's just crispy coating I don't know what's in it." So we asked "is there anyway you can find out what's in the crispy coating?" He replied "there is definitely a way to find out." He goes to the back...again. When he returns he says, "we fry the fries in a fryer with our chicken tenders. I would suggest not eating the fries." His suggestion is well-taken but we still don't know what's in the 'crispy coating.' When we were ordering, one member in my group asked for the two meat plate with brisket and pork ribs. The menu says "pork ribs." The worker said "We don't have pork ribs. We have ribs." So ribs it was. Giving a little room for grace, he was a young man who seemed to be new. BUT if you are at the cash register taking orders, you really should know what's on your menu. As for the food, it was disappointing. Portions were small. For the two meat plate with brisket and sausage, I was given one piece of brisket and a small hot link. To be fair, the menu says "8 oz" for the two meat plate so you kind of know what you're getting. When the order comes out, it looks very small. The brisket was a little on the dry side. The hot link was tasty but small. Buyer beware. TLDR; not coming back
