I ordered the Original Krispy Chicken Sandwich meal with curly fries at Klucks Krispy Chicken. The combo was closer to $15, which feels a little high but is pretty standard for Utah. My food came out in about 5 minutes, and the staff was friendly. The fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned. I tried the Kluck-in and Korean BBQ sauces--the BBQ had a nice tang, while the Kluck-in was okay but nothing special. The sandwich was great. The chicken was juicy and fresh with a crispy coating, and the cabbage with special sauce added good flavor without being heavy. Definitely would order again. When a new chicken restaurant opens up on the block, people will often say, "another chicken restaurant"...folks, this is not just another chicken restaurant. This is home to one of the best chicken sandwiches I have ever had. I say, "one of the best" because I have been here more than once...see what I did there? University Place in Orem has been around for quite a while and it is so awesome that Kluck's Krispy Chicken is basically right there in the mall parking lot. They are in a prime location where you are able to get shopping done, go see a movie, or even grab a sweet treat after the best meal you've ever had in your life. The parking is a little bit odd, especially for the Kluck's Krispy Chicken location. There isn't really a parking lot, but rather just slots that can fill up very quickly. The first time I visited Kluck's Krispy Chicken, I tried the chicken bacon ranch sandwich meal. With it being in a meal, I got fries and a drink with the sandwich. Once your meal comes out, they let you choose whatever sauce options you'd like. It is hard to decide but they have never judged me for picking a few. ;) As far as the staff throughout the experience, they have never been short of exceptional. They are always so nice, helpful, patient, quick, etcetera, etcetera.. They seriously dot all their i's and cross all their t's when it comes to top-tier customer service at an eating establishment. The food itself is so damn good, y'all. The chicken is always cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. The additional toppings they add within the sandwich make it all the more incredible. The fries are always hot, fresh, and a delicious pairing to the sandwich. The sauces are great for dipping your fries in but can also be delicious drizzled over your sandwich. The texture of the sandwich is consistently good and you truly can't get food like this anywhere else. The only downside is a very small downside...the prices are a bit steep, comparatively. This is not a huge deal though because the food is such good quality and so much more amazing than any other basic, cheaper option. The CEO of a different chicken restaurant chain has said that they purposely keep their menu simple. The logic is: you can be mediocre at a lot of things or you can be really good at a few things. Kluck's Krispy Chicken is representing this quite well. They don't have a million options to choose from. However, you are sure to enjoy whatever you pick because the menu options they do have for you are all amazing! I don't think there is a single item I don't LOVE. If you haven't been to Kluck's Krispy Chicken, don't make the same mistake I did by taking forever to go. Kluck's Krispy Chicken is one of its kind and you won't find the same chicken sandwich anywhere else. These were probably some of THE BEST I've had! They're Korean-style, and the flavors were bold and flavorful! The skin were extra crispy! They also had a wide variety of amazing dipping sauces. We ordered the Hottie Krispy Chicken and the Garlic Krispy Chicken, one an entree and the other a meal that came with a fountain drink and choice of sides (regular fries, curly fries, or macaroni salad) with no upgrade charges. We got the curly fries. The chicken was made to order, as I could see the guys in the back rolling the chicken in the flour and frying them, so it was beyond fresh! The portion size was more than generous and the 2 orders we got were enough for 4 people. I highly recommend this restaurant! Make sure you try out all their sauces. Short version: Service was 10/10. Food was good, but I didn't feel like it matched the price. Service was GREAT. I walked in 10 minutes before close and the guy behind the counter greeted me with what I felt like was a genuine smile. He was patient and, even though the menu was right there in front of me, knew the menu like the back of his hand. The food came out in about 5 minutes and I was the only one there. ***I spent about $22 for a meal and a treat. I got the #5 - Spicy Krispy Chicken Sandwich, extra spicy, with fries, a Diet Coke, sauces (chipotle mayo, Korean bbq, and fry sauce) and a s'mores crispy treat. Sandwich was a good size (think larger than a Chick-fil-A sandwich) and dusted well with seasoning. I got the extra spicy thinking it wouldn't be that bad, but I was impressed with the heat level. The filet itself was moist but still cooked well. I dipped it in the chipotle mayo which I really enjoyed. I tried dipping it in the Korean bbq sauce and it after a few bites it felt too sweet. The fries were standard salted potato fries. The s'mores treat was ok. Not as sweet as I was hoping or expecting. If you care, the Diet Coke was carbonated well but the flavor just wasn't there It's a three for me for two reasons: the price and the treat. I think for the sandwich maealone it would have been about $16 which I feel like if I were getting a little more out of would be worth it.
