His light shines so bright and he was just so kind to us, on the other hand there was this lady who was just pure evil. If she has a soul the devil would live in it. and to be fair i understand large groups of people can be stressful but the way she reacted was very unprofessional and i felt very turned away, unsafe, and it hurt my hearts along with she was very very hostile. Our food arrived quickly and we got out of there. The parking lot is painfully small. The chicken fingers were amazing and the dipping sauce is delicious. The chicken was crispy where needed and the meat was juicy and full of flavor. The fries and coleslaw left much to be desired. They tasted like the French fries from those old TV dinners available during the late 60s and early 70s. The coleslaw was way too tangy and it left a horrible aftertaste. It was not good at all. I was able to get my order in 15-20mins after ordering at the counter, and we decided to order the chicken tenders and the sandwich. If you're in the mood for chicken, this is not a bad place to be. There has been a lot of hype about cane's, so I had to try it out. What I loved? 1) the SAUCE. WOW. It's like bbq fry sauce with a bunch of other seasonings. Super good. 2) the breading in the chicken. That stuff is flakey and flavorful and perfect. 3) the vibe of the indoor seating. With a disco ball and BYU memorabilia everywhere, it was a fun place to be after a BYU football game! What I didn't love so much: 1) the insanely long line. Really good quality. The fries were good and not too salty (which I liked). They were crisp on the outside but soft in the middle. The toast was super soft and I loved the flavor. The fries are ok. I would say they are just there as a filter. Nothing special with them. Also, I know this will make all the difference for some, they have pebble ice! The chicken was excellent when it comes to being juicy and not dry. The batter is a good regular flavor as well. We decided to give Raising Cane's a try yesterday after seeing the drive through packed for the last two weeks. Initially we tried to go inside at 5:30, but it was so packed we opted for the drive though instead. After about a 20 minute drive through wait, we got our food. They have fun music playing to help while you wait and there are some cool places to sit and eat outside with your crew! I'm interested by the fact that their menu is so simple. It speaks a lot to their confidence in the food they offer! I can say this: the chicken tenders were very good. They were juicy, soft and down right yummy. The fries are crinkle cut and pretty plain. No fancy seasonings, no crispy outsides. You have to eat them with the sauce to give them some complexity! The Texas toast is good, but it's not too hard to butter bread and toast it, ya know? Honestly the whole thing sort felt like I was back eating school lunch again, with better than average chicken tenders. We also got the lemonade and enjoyed that. My brother-in-law was raving about the deliciousness that is, "Raising Cane's." With some family in town, he pleaded with us all to get lunch there like a three year old asking their reluctant mother for some toys at Walmart. I decided to order the chicken sandwich, which was at a decent price of only $8.45. The restaurant was in a state of bedlam. All of the seats were full of Augustus Gloop type people, there was a pirate lady with one tooth yelling the names of orders that were ready, and the employees seemed as if they didn't give a flying hoot that we ate there or not. I even overheard the one-tooth lady tell a customer that he had a stupid name. Needless to say, the service was lackluster compared to another chicken joint where they always say, "our pleasure." If the service was better, I probably would have given 4.5 stars. Unfortunately, I don't think you can do that on Yelp. The food came out quickly, and it looked pretty good. The chicken was crispy and juicy, the fries were a little over salted, and you have to pay extra for more sauce (which is so stupid). It was great, not amazing. It was tasty, not scrumptious. It was a Subway sandwich, not a Jersey Mike's sandwich. I believe Raising Cane's is a trend that will slowly die out. If you are a chicken tender's fiend, then I believe taking a trip here would be a good idea. Whether you go back and become a regular is up to you. As for me, I probably won't go back.
