I preferred it combined with ranch! And their prices are astronomical. Almost $20 for 3 tenders, fries, and a drink? Yikes. The fries were okay but I'd probably skip them in the future. This location was very clean, the staff was very friendly, and the time it took to order and receive our food was surprisingly quick during the lunch rush. My husband did mild hot I did honey butter so mine wasn't spicy at all, my husband said his was okay, mine too was just ok. The fries were good but I didn't like their sauce they served with them. It cost us $30 for a Sandwich, 2 chicken strips, fries and a drink. The employees were really nice. The restaurant was not very clean the bathrooms were dirty and so was the dining room floor. Chicken was moist and juicy. Fries were Kringle cut and crispy with what appears to be season salt. I would give the chicken 9/10. Seasoned fries 7/10 due to some burnt fries. The entree came with 2 sides of house sauce. The house sauce seemed on the sweeter side which I didn't mind with the spicy chicken. Service: Efficient and fast service style. My favorite hot chicken place, and I've been to a bunch. I prefer the one on Lehi Main Street compared to the traverse mountain location. It's more comfortable and roomy. Service is quick and friendly. Food comes out quick and fresh and hot. I haven't been all that adventuresome and ordered something blazing hot. The milder spice levels. Always a great sandwich. I have been twice now and this second time was not as good as the first. I think this place has the best french fries around. I also like their chicken tenders but this last time I went it was a little bit dry. I was surprised to find they actually added a 20% tip to my order when it was for takeout. I'm happy to tip a place that actually serves me food, beverages, and so on- but I'm not going to tip a place where I go and get it myself. I went to the Houston Hit Chicken a few weeks ago. Do not plan to go to this location in the winter...it was 55 degrees inside. When I asked one of the crew to turn on the furnace, she replied there no was furnace. This store has entire window frontage facing south. It was so uncomfortable they we ended up going to Starbucks to get warm. The two employees of the store remained huddled in the kitchen near the fryers so they could stay warm. There was trash throughout the store as I guessed it was too cold to pick things up for the crew. Will not return as it was a horrible experience. Chicken strips were way bigger than I expected and the waffle I could've eaten without syrup as it already had a really good sweet flavor to it. When it first opened, Houston's was great! Now it sucks! We have eaten there a bunch and taken it to go a bunch, but we won't be back. Our chicken sandwiches were cold. I was the only customer (on a Sunday at 5PM). They could have taken as long as they needed to cook us fresh ones, but they gave us ones that had been sitting under heat lamps (they admitted as much) for who knows how long. The order was wrong in two different ways - wrong items and wrong condiments. And the fries were WAY over seasoned. The chicken sandwiches being cold was the dealbreaker. I had to drive back to get a refund, which I really didn't appreciate at all. It's sad that such a great restaurant turned to complete crap so quickly. read more

I will say we got a medium heat and it was spicy. More so spicy for our stomachs rather than not being able to handle it so be careful if you have stomach issues... overall the food was good just a lot and very heavy. We got a shake with Cookie Monster in it and it just wasn't hitting. It felt a little like ice-cream with cookie but not very mixed.
