In my personal experience I bought some birria de chivo and it was all grease.! Also I bought some arros con leche and it was expired.!! I'm glad I did eat that.! Overall the food seems to be made with old ingredients plus the womb that works there they are no clean at all not washing their hands and the stuff they use to prepare the food.!! Best Mexican food I had in awhile, very impressed. Everything was priced very affordable. Extremely flavorful

I've been wanting to try this place for awhile... I struggle with finding good Mexican food... I go somewhere because it looks good and it has good ratings but then I go and either the tortillas are not good or the meat is overcooked or not seasoned... I just struggle with finding a good place... I try to stick with the places, I know are good... But I'm always looking for something that will just blow my mind... So I decided to take the plunge and I ordered from this place. I couldn't decide whether or not I wanted the quesadillas fritas or the birria tacos but I got the quesadillas fritas... two with Carne Asada, and the other chicken... I also ordered a side of rice and a side of beans... The rice and beans were mid at best... The beans had a funny taste to them... Not like they were spoiled or anything, but I think it was just something they put in them that just didn't sit right with me... And the rice had such a small amount of tomato base that it almost looked like white rice... it kind of looked beige that's it... It wasn't bad, but it was not good either... I did not finish either one... As far as the quesadillas go... They were great... I'm pretty sure they use queso oaxaca and they were stuffed with meat... I was going back-and-forth between getting the chicken and the carne asada and I honestly wish I had just stuck with the chicken... The chicken was so good... the carne asada tasted more to me like shredded beef... they were truly more like fried tacos than they were quesadillas, but they were awesome... The only thing preventing me from giving them five stars on the quesadillas was the fact that they did not put salsa on it. I double checked and it's supposed to have had salsa on it and I even asked for extra salsa and they gave me none... The first time I came here a month ago, I was surprised by how good their tacos were, now my second time coming back to this taqueria I was surprised yet again by how good their tacos were! The service was quick and friendly!! And they gave me an option called "supreme" in which they make the tortilla handmade and boy was it a good option! The Tacos de Al Pastor came out hot and fresh, the meat was juicy and the handmade tortilla was made and tasted amazing (I recommend). Best Mexican food place in Merced! They have a variety of plates and every time I try a new one I end up loving it.

Came in this am,to get a delicious bowel of menudo and they didn't disappoint. The best is eating my bowel there and listening to one of the workers enjoying the music and singing.
