Three sizes, all half of what they could charge. Now, they aren't strong by any means but they are yummy! Pricing - increased over the years but that's expected. We came here on a Sunday night during a road trip and the place was not that full. It is a little over a mile off the freeway, but we were looking for a sit down place that was reasonably priced and quick. This turned out to be just the place. It was not that busy so we were served and ordered immediately. The chips and two salsas that came to the table were great. The chips were thick and there were two salsas served in bottles with your own dish for pouring the salsa yourself. There was a mild, and a much less mild, which was great for my kids. I had the chicken burrito, which at $5.75 was priced right. It came out wet on a plate and was a fork and knife adventure for sure. There was a lot of sauce and more chicken would have made it better, but you can't beat it for the price. Pay at the front when you are done. read more

The reason for 2 stars is the meat in the combination plater. The meat had no taste, and Taco Bell meat tasted better than the meat I had here. You can tell it was not ground beef. The service was ok. Maybe if you don't get a combination, then you get real meat. read more

We stopped in for a family dinner and received immediate attention in terms of water, menus, chips and salsa. The drink menu is somewhat limited in terms of varietal selection, its heaviest on beer and margaritas but almost non existent for wine and whiskey selections. The dining room is very spacious and can get noisy when they are quite busy. The tables are situated to provide seating for small and large groups, the staff are very attentive to your needs in terms of chips and salsa refills but at times lacking when it comes to drink refills and verifying food quality. The fajitas are excellent, the vegetable and meat combination is spiced and cooked very well, they do provide rice, beans, cheese, etc. to accompany. I would say the price point for this establishment is spot on. read more

We were not sure how the food would be because it is in a small shopping center. We went during lunch, and it was packed. If you can avoid the noon to 1 pm hour I would recommend coming before or after. That was the biggest complaint that we had. The food was delicious. Some of the best Mexican food that we have had in SC. We had the lunch Fajitas and burrito Mexicano. The chicken was cooked perfectly and it had so much flavor. The tomatillo sauce in the burrito was really good, but it did have a bit of a spicy kick. Not too hot, but more than most places have. We will definitely be going back. read more

Sold mexican food with polite servers, nice portion size, and fast service. We go there frequently and were once there when a guest had a major medical emergency. Probably the best Mexican restaurant in Duncan. First sign that it's a legit Mexican restaurant is that the servers are all female. Portions are big, flavorful and reasonably priced. Good variety of dishes to choose from. The salsa was kind of weak, not bad, but definitely could have been much better. Overall, great place to eat. Stopped in here on our way home. It didn't look like much from the outside and the place was basically empty when we arrived. But we decided to give it a try so we sat down and ordered and that's when the magic happened. I had the steak and chicken fajita and my husband had steak Rancho. Good Mexican food. We had been searching for places locally and have tried a few that were ok but this one has been the best so far. Everyone had something different from the quesadillas, tacos, burritos, and enchiladas. Thumbs up from everyone. Only complaint is that tacos were soggy but that was because they were delivered and had all the ingredients on them while sitting in the tin to go plate so it was expected. One of the most authentic places I've ever been to. The servers are very attentive to the free chips and salsa refills and drink refills. The dining area feels very homestyle and the servers make you feel very at home here. The portions are huge for such a great low price and at such a great quality and freshness. The servers aren't the greatest english speakers but their kindness and attentiveness make you feel well cared for and part of their family. I love El Primo. They have "sneaky margaritas" they taste delicious then 10 minutes later the alcohol sneaks up on ya!! They taste so good, they don't use a pre-made mix.
