Absolute favorite place to go! The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the food is consistently excellent--no matter what you order. I especially love their salsa bar, which has a fantastic selection ranging from mild to spicy--you can take as much as you want. My personal favorite is the Al Pastor street tacos, while my spouse usually goes for the Quesabirria. It's always busy, but we've never had to wait long for a table. Highly recommend! read more

This is a true authentic Mexican restaurant! The ambiance depicts it and the homemade quality of their food is unbelievable! I love Mexican food and I expected this to be just another SC Mexican Restaurant, which would have been fine, but this place exceeded my expectations. The location is pretty unassuming - a small restaurant at the end of a strip mall in Lyman, but the line outside tells you something right is happening inside. I don't know what to say, except that everything was just a little bit better than everywhere else. I had the steak burrito at the recommendation of the server, and I had NO REGRETS. I also got to taste the fajitas, which were also delicious. My only complaint would be the wait, but that's to be expected if the food is as good as it was. read more

Although the exterior looks old and worn out the food was amazing. The waiter took our orders without pen and paper and remembered all the additions, substitutions and substitutions. Everyone's meal was freshly prepared to order and we enjoyed each bite. It was a 35 minute ride to get there but worth it. Will definitely have to go again. This is not your average Mexican restaurant. Definitely not the biggest dining room in the world, but in this case quaint is good. With such an impressive following this restaurant has, we did not mind pulling up a couple chairs to the lively and comfortable bar. I am not much of a margarita drinker, but after drinking the recommended margarita from the bartender, I would definitely drink another one here. Large groups are not easy for them to handle, but they do step outside the box to make the necessary seating arrangements. It's always refreshing to dine in a family-owned restaurant that takes pride in everything they do, including offering an impressively clean establishment. You can trust in the fact that even the menus are cleaned after every use. With a salsa bar in the back, there is no shortage of salsa, they simply ask that you take what you can eat to reduce waste and keep it free. This has been my favorite spot! I heard through the grapevine that my favorite waiter of all time anywhere had gone from the place I knew and was now part OWNER of Casa Carrion. The first thing I ordered was my old standard Super Molcajate! I had my mind blown by the flavor and freshness of the sides! I was instantly hooked! The service was impeccable. I've never had such a great experience at a restaurant EVER! I wish i could frequent this place more, but the word is out! This is the best. The parking lot stays full, and there are always people waiting to get a table. When I am hungry, I don't like to wait, so it's special when i do have the patience to wait!
