While stuck in Olney, we decided to venture out to eat. My husband wanted to eat at the HV's Food and Spirits (https://www.yelp.com/biz/hvs-food-and-spirits-olney) the restaurant next door, but he never objects to Mexican food. We ended up here as a last minute decision. I noticed the $2.99 blue margarita special as I walked in, so guess what I had? You guessed it. At first I was hesitant on ordering the drink special, because commonly places premix the featured drink special and they end up weak. Not here! I'm happy to report, the blue margaritas were on point. I ordered the Mexicano Burritos and requested cheese sauce instead of the red sauce. Although it was tasty and I enjoyed my meal, the beef inside was more like pulled beef, pot roast maybe. The menu described it was beef tips, so what I received was not what I expected. The worst thing was the service. I was finished with my drink before the food arrived, and still hadn't spotted our waiter even after I finished my burritos. Finally another waiter walked by and I asked for our waiter, instead he graciously got me another blue marg. Then we spotted our waiter walk in with his coat on. I'm from Chicago so my standards are high, especially for mexican food being Mexican as I am..but this place is seriously lacking. I get it, I wasn't expecting to get the same quality food as I'm used to but this place is very low on the totem pole. The taste of their food is ok, not good but enuf to consume after all one would come here hungry obviously. They also don't serve agua de horchata or rice water, that's like a staple. If you're a mexican restaurant without rice water, you're pretty much an imposter. To top it off, the last time I went they raised their prices significantly. I would order steak tacos at about $2 each, now they're $3.50! The quality of the beef is a little sketchy too to be honest. I definitely won't be going back & am searching for an alternative. read more

I would say that beggars can't be choosers, but....not really. It was a busy shift, so I could get past the poor service. It seemed that there was only one server for the entire restaurant. A couple of other folks appeared later to clear tables and such, but it seemed pretty chaotic. The food was really unremarkable. Most of it arrived swimming in nondescript sauce with melted cheese. They give you lots of chips and salsa. Great spicy salsa available as well. Big portions, we usually have leftovers for the next day. read more

Worst place I could ever imagine. didn't know what a bean and cheese , or a potato and egg taco was. brought me a sweet tea that tasted like beer and had a bug in it. brought me out chips and salsa and had a bug in it. brought me out potato and egg and meat and cheese taco and a beef and cheese taco. not what I ordered. I told them and they brought me out a bean and cheese taco. That had a bug in it. at this point I was so over this place and I went to pay and they were trying to charge me for food I didn't ordered and food with bugs in it. then the waiter got attitude and threw the pen at the ground and told me to get out and walked away. wow great service wouldn't recommend this place to my dog . read more

Authentic and delicious! Good service; loved their salsa. Husband had the chimichanga and pronounced it "the Real Thing". I had Carnitas Americana which was sizzling grilled veg -- onions, peppers and tomatos with the tender re-grilled pork so tender. Outstanding. Big portions! The place is remodeling and kids were running around -- or else it would have earned all five stars. The food was great! read more

They even have a Huge Long Island (I'm sure it's well liquor but I assumed that) that taste great & good buzz. Wow. No words to describe how bad this restaurant is. Visiting town as a mid-point between cross country trip and had dinner here tonight. Cheese on all products is white cheese sauce, not real cheese. Guacamole is from a powder, not avocados. My son had steak nachos and not sure the meat was real. Before you sit down to order, look at the pictures in menu. Those are actual pictures of food, not just bad photography. Only the chips were real. Sort of a lesser point, but tables and menus were filthy too. Just awful. read more
