I was here a few months ago and rated them 4 stars. The manager reached out and suggested I try them again in hopes they could earn 5 stars. Today I tried the Mango margarita with salt. The bartender allowed me to sample the mango mix prior to making the drinking that was OK. According to the bartender, the mango has better flavor than the watermelon, which was probably my first choice. I didn't try the watermelon. I am trying the enchiladas with gravy. They have 3 different flavors so I requested it in the side. The order some with 3 enchiladas so I tried 2 beef fajita, and one chicken. The first enchilada I tried was the chicken and unfortunately the chicken is very very dry. It looks like there were chicken patties that had been grilled and overcooked. The beef fajita enchilada was also dry, but not as dry as the chicken, which was more like eating cardboard. I am so disappointed! I think the dryness came from the food being improperly reheated. This will probably be my last visit to this restaurant. I crave consistency, unfortunately the consistency this restaurant demonstrates is incompatible with my standards. I went here with my buddy and my kid I bought my kid the kids cheese enchilada. Price said 8.99 including a side he got fries. Ended up charging for the side and asked for a receipt they chose no side on the kids meal and made the side separate. I already payed didn't want to make a scene. They are scammers stay away. El Regio Mexican Grill & Bar is an authentic Mexican restaurant located in a shopping center with a gas station and several other businesses so parking won't be a problem. As you walk in, there's a large sit-down dining area. If you walk toward the back of the restaurant, there's a bar area with dim lighting to add to the ambiance. I've sat in both areas and I've liked the bar area more as it's more casual. The first time there, I ordered the sampler platter which comes with flautas, nachos, and quesadillas. While an app, it's enough to serve as a full meal. The second time, I ordered the barbacoa tacos which was a lot, and I mean, a lot of barbacoa. You can either order half a pound or a pound. The pound is a good deal so that's what I went with and it turned into three or four meals. El Regio has a solid cocktail list with your standard margaritas and some creative tropical cocktails. You can even get one of those margaritas with a corona in it. It comes in a huge mug so one of those will do some damage. The picture on the menu doesn't do it justice, it's huge! I highly recommend getting one. Overall, the food won't blow your socks off but I like the authenticity and the bar. read more

Needed to get something quick and tasty, so we stopped in for lunch. I got the beef fajita burrito and my family got the chicken enchilada and cheese enchilada. The dishes were a good portion and came with two bags of chips as well as two sides (rice and refried beans). The burrito was good and it was such a good portion I never got you my sides. Let start with the food, I ordered the molcajete with spare ribs and fajitas, and substituted the nopal for a Chile relleno, it all came on a bed of onion with a large grilled jalapeño and topped with a delicious red salsa, accompanied with beans rice guac and salad, and they had an option to upgrade your drink from large to extra large off of the menu, all of this was good maybe even great, the short rib wasn't over cooked, and the fajita was juicy, combined with the Chile relleno and the homemade tortillas every bite tasted as good as the last, all in all I would definitely recommend to the people in that area and I'd say it tasted as good as other higher rated places, I can see why there isn't as much foot traffic (during the week) as there should be though as there isn't enough parking for all of the businesses and it is near a gas station which is what originally made me feel like not going in the first place, but I was pleasantly surprised and happy I decided to go. read more

I've tried this place twice and it's an easy quick stop. First time I had the chicken flautas and they weren't all that, maybe a 5/10. Second time I went in and had a sit down meal and it was a bit busy but not crazy. Had to wait more to put in my drink, wait for the server to take my food order and that took longer than how long it took me to eat. I had the 5 mini tacos and were okay. Service started out terrible. Nobody came and attended my family and I until someone walked by and I asked them if someone could tend to us. They still took line 10 minutes and all the waitresses were just looking at us standing there. When one decided o finally come she asked what drinks we wanted and then when we gave her my kids drinks request she asked us and my wife wanted a margarita, waitress said the bartender had the day off and we were looking at him make a drink for another patron. Got the itch for shrimp enchiladas. Before driving back from Pearland to Sienna I checked El Regio's Rosharon (really Arcola) menu realizing they were on the way. Called ahead and ordered for pick-up. Was ready when I got there and took it home. Still piping hot upon arrival, I tore into it and it was superb along with the beans and rice. The side salad was a little on the dated side but I won't ding them for that. Can't wait to do it again. I may just have to do a Los Tios comparo first. 10/10! Came here for dinner and ordered Milanesa. Milanesa is a breaded beef of chicken. They served it with rice, french fries, a salad, a lime wedge and homemade corn tortillas. OMG! So good. Delicious.This is homemade, authentic Mexican food. I know because my family is Mexican and this is the real deal. The chips and salsas are yummy. Customer service was quick and great. Went to El Regio Mexican Grill & Bar here in Fressno/Rosharon, TX. I left angry because of poor service, acctually no service. Arrived about 10:05 PM, (11/10/2023) after using the facilities, sat down ready for a hot meal. Sat there for a few minutes before capturing the attention of a table attendant, (not a server), for chips and salsa. Those items showed up quickly. Kept sitting there watched a waiter talk to his buddies for few minutes. Then a group came in, well after I had arrived, recieved there menus. I stood up and walked up to the waiter/tress station and asked for the manager to give them a piece of my mind. One of my regular waitresses came up to me seeing me upset asked "What was wrong?" Told her why I was upset she heard me out. At the same time the waiter tried to explain his error , I just told him to walk away, I said I was to angry to even here him out. The manager couldn't be located apparently she was indisposed for a moment. When I saw who it was I just got more upset. She has never ever given me satisfactory service when she is a waitress and now night manager, I just walked out. For quite sometime I have noticed the quality of food and service has deminished. When they are on their game they are excellent and guest leave happy. Otherwise you leave scratching you head and wonder what happened to this eatery. I didn't name names because with exception of my regular waitress and table attendants there is no reason to pass on any shade on them. I don't see how this restaurant has decent ratings. We kept having to remind them about missing orders. My son didn't get his food until everyone had already finished because they forgot. I never got the side of rice I ordered. The lady brought my food and even told me she wasn't sure if I wanted 3 or 4 tacos so she just brought me 4. If you didn't hear my order correctly you could just ask. I didn't mind that I didn't get my rice because my husband had a bug in his. And when it was brought to the waiters attention she acted like it wasn't a big deal. I should add the manager handled it and discounted it off the bill once my mother in law spoke with her. Delicious fajitas. I ordered the PARRILLADAS REGIAS for 4 and a regular mixed fajita for 2 to go. The pricing was very competitive and the girl who checked me out when I picked up was very nice. Purchased chicken soup tonight and it's super bland. The chicken is chewy and the vegetables are almost nonexistent. This definitely not the traditional caldo de pollo I'm accustomed to eating. My recent visit here left me with mixed feelings. Upon arrival, walking in, we were not greeted while approximately 10 servers stood watching, talking amongst themselves. As we approached the counter to place our order, no one was there. We looked around, then a gentleman slowly raised from a nearby table (with food still in his mouth), and made his way towards the counter. We placed our order, and sat appropriately 20minutes waiting. No one asked if we wanted water, and there aren't any complimentary chips and salsa provided (it costs now!). In short, the customer service sucks here! If I was rating solely on the food quality, I would give them a 3 to 3.5 at best....as they tend to screw up our order 90% of the time (something is either missing or incorrect). There aren't many options in this remote part of town for sit-down Tex-Mex restaurants, and this place is pretty good. It's a dollar or two pricier than places in town, but they do get it right here. There are plenty of taco trucks in the area if you really need to save that last dollar, but this place is on par with Las Haciendas, for example. The parking kind of sucks here, my biggest complaint. Inside, it's festive with Tejano music. The menu is standard Tex-Mex fare, the service was good, and the food was up to par. My lady got an enchilada she really liked, and I got a couple tacos (al pastor and barbacoa, with cilantro and onion) and they were satisfying. It's not going to blow you away, but if you're in the area and want some Tex-Mex comfort food, this place is definitely worth a stop. read more
