I really like Flexx Lounge, however, I've only had the one great first impression. The small intimate setting with dim lighting is colorful and comfortable. My visit was early shortly after they opened but received a big greeting from management and offer our choice of seating. The cocktails were great as expected but It was the food that pleasantly surprised me. The menu isn't large but the few options are excellent. Definitely looking forward to my next visit.

What a night! Super Bowl Sunday party was Litty! First off have you ever heard of citrus pepper wings!!! Never heard of that in my life but they sure was good. I love a good extra crunchy wing with a semi wet sauce. I also ordered the deviled eggs which came with shrimp, salmon and pork belly. Of course I switched that pork for extra shrimp one. Umm yea delicious. Speaking of delicious strawberry basil drop!!! Yummy I'll be back

Mo City... yall got yall a gem over there! We decided to try out Flexx Lounge this morning for brunch and im a little baffled on how we could be the only ones there when it opened at 1. My assumption is that everyone was still at church. We were greeted by Sierra and she gave good customer service through out. I think Courtney was the owner and he continously checked on us. They had good music playing. The mimosas were good. We ordered off the brunch menu. We got Thelma chicken and waffles that were perfect. That waffle was so good with that homemade syrup. I wonder if Thelma was the chef??? I got the fish, shrimp, and grits. Phenomenal. Whatever sauce they put on there is amazing. If I had to complain about anything, I would say put some tables somewhere. I know its a lounge, but with that caliber of food, you needs a table you can rest your elbows on when you get that itis! I was told happy hour and fridays/Saturdays are their busy times. But yall need to visit that brunch! Loved it. Support thid BO spot! Did i mention free parking.. thats rare these days!

The service is friendly and fast for a bar/lounge. The DJ is great and kept the party going. The Basil Drop was my drink of the night and it was fab! They don't skip on the liquor! I love the vibe here. It's like a house party!

This past weekend, I wanted to try-out a new spot. So, me and my friend wanted a bit to eat and gets some drinks. Finally, decided to get the Bistro Smash burger and a order of fries. The only thing I had to wait a long time to get my food. But, once I finally got my food. Everything, was so delicious and freshly made to order. Our service was good because the bartender check on us to make sure we were good. The ambiance was very nice and inviting. Their Lounge was given Good vibes...

The parking lot was pretty full when I arrived but I was fortunate to find a spot near the front and although the lot was full there seemed to be enough parking. They have a nice patio with a decent amount of seating on the side of the building and a small area in the front as well. The inside is a jazzy and lively but cozy vibe with walls adorned with beautiful jazz aesthetic artwork. My food came out hot and fresh. My cheeseburger was delicious. It was juicy, not at all greasy and cooked perfectly at medium well. I didn't request a particular meat temperature but this seemingly standard way they cooked it was right on target. My fries were crispy and delicious as well. In hindsight I shouldve requested a side of ranch to dip them in instead of the standard ketchup. That would've been more ideal for me and would've also tasted amazing with my burger. They give you a ton of fries and you will likely need extra ketchup or whatever dipping sauce for it btw and make sure to ask for it when you order your food to ensure you get it before u finish your meal. The drinks are strong but still tasty. They're also generously poured. Ok so a few minor negatives to point out. Service was a bit slow. I probably sat for 30 minutes or so before a waitress took my order. I arrived after my cousins and fortunately they had a beautiful charcuterie board that I could nibble on. Also, they brought my rum punch as I was finishing my meal. All of the staff was super kind and pleasant however so zero complaints other than the speed of the service. I think they could've used a couple more servers to ensure they could visit the tables more quickly and frequently. Another thing, it was a little loud and kinda difficult to talk across the table but it is a bar, a jazzy upbeat sophisticated bar with a 35-50ish aged crowd so come here for the food, drinks, maturity and great music not to have a deep conversation or at least not on a Friday night. I'll definitely be back for steak night if they still have it. I'm sure that'll give me an opportunity to give this place another star.

Not sure if it's open during day as I have only come at night. Upon entering the establishment you see barber chairs and you walk around back and into a very lovely scene. Where it falls short (IMO) of a true speakeasy is with the signage (the sign says "lounge") and the entry (they don't require any sort of passcode or reservation). I'm not mad at the laid back feel, but it doesn't meet my definition of a true speakeasy. The Throne is more on par with Off The Record. There's a store front, and a hidden bar, but the business is basically broadcasting that it is a speakeasy which sort of defeats the purpose. When we walked in, we were greeted by a security guard who may have been a MO City police officer. He was really nice and told us a little bit about the barbershop. Barbershop customers can grab a drink while they wait. The lounge opens at 4 pm W-Su so the lounge hours actually overlap with the barbershop hours. I don't know anything about the barbershop or the barbers, but they do offer a variety of services. The vibe of The Throne is loud nightclub. The DJ was spinning some good tunes, but it was hard to have a conversation without yell-talking to each other. The patio was quieter and they did have heaters. Patrons are allowed to smoke cigars and hookah on the patio, however I didn't notice anyone smoking while we were there. The patio area had some TVs as well, so it could potentially be a cool spot to catch a game. They do have a food menu, however we did not order any food. I'm not sure how late the kitchen is open, but they offer items like pizza, sandwiches, and wings. I ordered a glass of pinot grigio which I enjoyed. The Throne is in a shopping strip a few doors down from B's Wine Bar. The parking lot is large and there are plenty of spaces, but you may have to park a bit further out and walk. Though it may not meet my definition of a true speakeasy, it's really nice to have bar options outside of The Loop that are open late, and aren't too far from home.
