Because of that great experience, we decided to go back after a long time, this time on a Sunday. When we walked in, we immediately noticed a big difference . There were a lot of empty tables. We ordered shrimp cocktails (cócteles de camarón) and sat down. Unfortunately, this time the food was not good at all. The juice in the shrimp cocktail was extremely salty,so salty that I couldn't eat it. I went back to the counter and explained the issue. The girl helping us was very nice and explained that they cure the shrimp with salt since it's not cooked. She offered to remake it, which they did, and I appreciated the effort. However, even the remake just didn't taste good to me. I like my seafood to taste fresh, with a natural seafood flavor not overly salty or loaded with condiments. This experience made me wonder if something has changed at the restaurant, especially since it was so empty compared to our first visit. The staff was friendly and did try to make it right, which I appreciate, but overall this visit was disappointing. Since it's also out of our way and we only stopped because we happened to be in the area, I don't think we'll be coming back. It's unfortunate because our first experience was so much better. The ambiance was pleasant. They had a couple of TVs playing football, music in the background, and the place was clean but the food just didn't live up to our previous experience.

By the time we finished the place was filled with small parties on couples on date night. The staff was attentive and reset tables quickly and got our drinks topped up. We got the special Cajun which includes one cluster of snow crab, half pound shrimp, corn and potatoes. We also shared the special fried oysters and fries (upgraded to garlic). We got bibs and gloves but of course you will smell of garlic! Bathrooms are clean so you can clean up post meal.

The lady then said she was not going to be able to place the order because it was over $150. I had to show up and place it in person. Unfortunately, they have had people place big orders and they don't pick them up. I understand completely, I offered to give my card so they could charge it but the lady said she could not do that. This was all very unfortunate, I don't have time to show up to the restaurant, place my order and wait another 45 minutes for it to be ready. The restaurant called back saying they spoke with the owner and they were going to be able to process my payment over the phone. Ugh it was too late, I had already placed the order with another restaurant. I hope the owner sees this and comes up with a different strategy to be able to process big ordered over the phone. Or at least tell us before ordering if the phone order is over $150, it has to be placed it person and can not be placed over the phone.
