I saw this new seafood boil place opened by in Panorama and wanted to try it. It's located in a plaza with lots of Asian restaurants and a super market which is pretty cool. Parking can be kind of crazy sometimes. We got some micheladas to start with and they were okay. They tasted like just clamato but they're were still good. We also got some calamari rings with fries and these were just okay too. The best part of the meal was definitely the boil itself. Lots of flavor and the shrimp were pretty big. The service was also just okay, they were pretty short staffed and they brought me the wrong beer for my miche. Overall this place is okay. If you're in the area give it a try.

This is the best seafood boil I've had! So good. We got the 32.99 special each which comes with 1/2 pound of shrimp, cluster of snow crab legs, 1 corn and 2 potatoes. We also added another pound of shrimp to share. Our waiter was Scotty and he was great. The other waiter also helped in between but I did not get his name, he was also great. The ambience is great, I loved that they were playing Harry Styles. I look forward to coming back soon.

We had such a great experience here! As soon as you walk in you get hit with the smell of spices and seafood. We got quickly seated in a large comfortable booth and our waitress was kind to explain the menu and help us choose the best option for 2 people. She quickly came out with our giant micheladas that were perfectly seasoned with Tajín. Our food came out next and the bag was so huge and was fully packed with all kinds of yummy crustaceans! Let me tell you, IT WAS SO GOOD! The sauce was incredible, the king crab legs had lots of meat and the sausages gave it all nice smokey flavor. We enjoyed the meal with a cup of rice, tons of lemon and went through many napkins. Luckily our car was parked right out front in a shared parking lot making it easy to head out after a giant feast. We will definitely be back in search of that full house seasoning!

This restaurant has truly deserved their 5 star rating! We had such an awesome experience here. The service was outstanding! Since we had never been here before and don't eat seafood boil too often, they took the time to walk us through the menu. But I'll tell you this- after coming to Star Crab, we will be eating seafood boil more often! My husband and I got the shrimp star combo and holy cow. It was HUGE! Probably best for 3 people but we went to chow town. We got shrimp, green mussels and crawfish. The shrimps were big and juicy and the mussels were a good size! It's nice you can choice your flavor and heat level. It comes with corn, potatoes and sausage too. That corn was so good. We got medium Cajun and it was the perfect slight heat. It's so fun to eat with your hands and make a mess on the table! They provide you with bibs, gloves, and a bucket for your shells etc. So don't expect plates and silverware! We also ordered the lemon pepper fries and these might be my new favorite fries ever. They were so well seasoned, the perfect thickness and just crunchy enough. My dream fries. I'm drooling just thinking about them. This place is no frills, situated in a busy strip mall. I did think the nautical decor was cute! Very family friendly. Lots of parking! I wish I took pictures of what was inside my bag, but my hands were busy digging into that boil!

I am excited about this spot! Had the shrimp boil, very flavorful and nice size and very delicious. This is just a short review but I am going back to try more things. I have to try the clam chowder next. Good customer service. I like the look of the place as well, it reminds of one of my favorite spots in the beach area. Unitl the next review...

Star Crab? More like *5 Stars Crab am I right? I came here on a Saturday evening around 9 with my girlfriend. The restaurant is in a small plaza sharing its parking with other Asian and sea food business. Finding parking is never difficult. We came in and were immediately sat. There was only 1 other party already sat at a table so we had almost the whole place to ourselves. Their booths were so comfy and clean. I liked their simple furniture and sea themed decorations. Our waitress was extremely friendly and had been attentive the whole night. We did their #2 combo with spicy. The goody bag came out within 10 or so minutes... but In the meantime our waitress made my drink and I got to work! The picturesque presentation matched the taste for my type of tastebud! Yum. It was spicy tomato-y zesty and modelo flavor. I took big sips frequently. The food had all smelled/looked amazing.. my girl had competition. I had ZERO complaints on how the seafood and veggies were prepared. Everything was good size. The claws and crayfish fish were so meaty and tender. I LOVED their sauce. It was so buttery and savory with decent spice level! I always feel so unhinged on these types of meals given the experience of eating more with my hands, but, it's the blissful grub of a quality seafood boil such as this one that always makes me understand why I do it. I am returning wearing comfy pants and ready for more you can bet on that.

The food was so good that I totally forgot to take a picture. We stopped by around 8 pm on a Friday night, there was no line and we got seated pretty fast, service was friendly and phenomenal. The ambiance was nice and neat, I like the decoration. We ordered muscles and king crabs and it was so good as we requested mild and it came out pretty good. I highly recommend this new place.

Back to the deli counter - they recommended I try the smoked sea bass since they don't get it in often so I took some of that and a smoked salmon collar. The hand roll bar was empty since it was late in the afternoon but too early for dinner. I promised the sushi chef there that I would return. So I went back today with a couple of friends. There were six of us, including two young children, so we intentionally booked an early dinner. Even with a reservation, we waited about 10 minutes to be seated. That wasn't a big deal. The bigger issue was the pace of the meal. We didn't receive our first appetizer until around 6:00 PM, and our entrees didn't arrive until about 6:20 PM. By then, the kids were definitely getting hungry. The good news is that the food was worth the wait. Between the six of us, we sampled everything from seafood and sushi to salads, tacos, vegetables, and desserts. Every dish was a hit. The birthday chocolate cake was a nice touch, and the bread pudding and butter cake were a great way to end the evening. Our server was friendly and did everything possible to make sure we had a good experience. As the restaurant filled up, though, it became obvious they simply didn't have enough staff to keep up with the crowd. We spent about two hours at dinner, and much of that time was waiting for food to arrive. Will we go back? Probably. Next time, though, I'll plan on a leisurely evening rather than a quick dinner, even with an early reservation. I was searching for an elegant dinner spot on yelp and this place popped up. After seeing some pics of the food and the ambience, I quickly made the rezzy and my wife and I were on our way. As you come in, it's like you enter another world -- one of elegance and beauty. You can't help but notice perfect ambient lighting and modern vibes throughout the inside dine-in area and as you enter their huge gorgeous backyard patio, you just know that you're in the right place. The seating area there is massive, with very modern finishes and towards the rear of the patio you have the most beautiful water feature piece, that looks like a human-size vase, with water running down the vase and being met by fire at the base. Just one incredible architectural piece that creates that posh, contemporary ambiance. After taking in the breathtaking design of the spot, we finally sat down and ordered food. We tried the tuna tartare, squash blossoms appetizer and my wife got a seabass entree while I got their highly recommended vodka pasta. All of the food was absolutely incredible, from the freshness of tuna tartare, uniquely wonderful flavor profile of the squash blossoms , to the yummy vodka lumaconi pasta and the most mouth-watering seabass that I've ever tried in my life. I honestly never thought a fish could taste so good. The seabass was charred on the outside and just incredibly soft on the inside. As you barely touch the seabass with the fork, a piece of succulent seabass gets separated simply due to the natural gravity of the fork. The taste is perfect. It's like they somehow cooked it with large piece of butter on the inside. The incredible flavor profile and the consistency of each bite of this seabass, were simply unparalleled. And to add to all this awesomeness, the bed of risotto was perfectly cooked and tasted fantastic as well. To finish off our meal, we decided to share their apple tart pastry and it too, was fresh, flavorful and that scoop of ice cream on top, made the pastry just perfect. This place hits a perfect trifecta, with its phenomenal modern design , incredible food and absolutely superb customer service. Our waiter Zach was extremely nice, helpful, attentive and he was just a perfect guide throughout tonight's culinary adventure. My wife and I are more than satisfied and can't wait to come to Casalena again!

If you like traditional Mexican drinks, these are a must-try. The Food Everything we ordered was packed with flavor and felt incredibly fresh. A standout for us was the homemade corn tortillas--you can really taste the difference! Our table shared: * Mojarra & Pescado al Mojo de Ajo: Perfectly cooked and seasoned. * Lobster Plate: Succulent and generous. * Surf & Turf Tacos: These were a highlight! You throw a birthday in the mix and there's a little pressure to make this the right kind of evening. The vibes were certainly not absent. There was the tastefully low mood lighting, and of course, the tunes of a scattered jazz jam session. We get to our seats and are told the place was designed to heighten and maximize the patrons' listening experience, no matter where they were in the establishment. The menu wasn't overwhelming from a volume standpoint. It screamed a curated adventure through a brand of Americana that knew it had ethnic roots on different continents. That's a cool prospect to dig into but knew we weren't going to order the whole menu. My wife and I were still feeling like we had to get our very first selections right though. More pressure. We started with the Hokkaido Milk Buns (super recommended) and the Wagyu Tartare. I'm such a poor sucker for bakery buns from an Asian grocery store. 99 Ranch has a lot of my money because it. These were perfectly fresh and airy. The sweet butter was a good sidekick, but with the right bread that sits with your soul, you never really need much for it. The tartare did taste as advertised. And more sexy bread in the toast! In this case, the toast was the sweet butter. You didn't need it. You could have spooned the tartare like it was ice cream, but you certainly didn't mind the brioche slices tagging along. There were our mains: Dungeness Crab Campanelle, and the Braised Lamb Pasta. We went back and forth about ordering a side of Roasted Carrots, but you only have one specific birthday to start your mid-thirties, so I opted for it. If you've been reading my reviews, you know I don't go out of my way for seafood. I'll have a bite. I'll be as openminded as a foodie should, but it won't be invited to my cookout. I didn't hate the campanelle. The miso and aji Amarillo peppers gave this a really familiar tuna casserole profile. My wife asked me not to tell anyone that. But it brought me back to my childhood, where even then, I was not crazy about seafood, but I was mature in my thinking enough to know the casserole was going to feed me. If you observed us that night, I might've snuck a couple of forked noodles to taste the roasted almonds and some of the uni residue with the cheesy tones. The lamb pasta was the richest, fullest flavor I've had for pasta in a while. The lamb was abundant and savory and lean, providing such a serious punch when supported by the padano. It was a smidge creamy, and greasy - optimally speaking. It had such a dark and cheesy-bitter personality. The charred green onions probably were in the mix more than I anticipated. Roasted root vegetables are just very satisfying potatoes, at the end of the day. The carrots ate more like fun, herbaceous fries, showered in a vinegar concoction. Loved it. The chumichurri and togarashi spices aligned for a peppery bite. The vinegar did give the carrots a pickled skin so it was helpful for cutting through the brightness of the crab campanelle and the boldness of the braised lamb. Verse took the pressure on the night and gave us food baby diamonds. I'd say we're encouraged to check out more of the supper club scene after our visit. If the bar was set at any place, it was for the sensibility of how the music pairs with the food. The strings and the particular pitter-pat on the drums kept us going. It kept us talking. It kept us eating.
