Can't miss this place. Located on Green Bay road. Building is bright yellow and orange. Came here a couple of times during the years and they have the best chicken yet. I used the drive thru to take my order and there's wasn't many people there at the time. But normally this place can get packed. They do have a couple of tables inside for indoor seating. I ordered the 8 piece family pack. Which comes with a whole chicken with green onions and jalapeños and 3 sides. I got rice, mashed potatoes, and extra green onions. Everything is so delicious. This is the brightest building I have ever seen, makes it really easy to not stand out and be noticed. El Rey del pollo asado is a bright orange building with chicken decor all over. I ordered through the drive thru. However, inside the restaurant seating is available. The service was fast. The chicken is delicious and all of their sauces are amazing. My favorite is the avocado sauce, it's creamy and spicy all at the time. The chicken has a really good seasoning on it. The meal comes with a bag of tortillas. There is a drive through available or you can head inside and dine-in as well. If you're here with other people, I would recommend trying out one of the family meals. It comes with 3 sides and tortillas, and it's A LOT of food. The chicken is well-seasoned and juicy, and they give you tons of salsas/sauces that pair very well with everything on your plate. I was excited to try the taco selection of El Rey Del pollo asado and I can't say I'm disappointed. The Al Pastor could have been tad more seasoned but the char on the meat was there. Their selection of Salsa was very delicious as well, they stood out as the winner for me during the meal, truly enhancing every bite. The service was very efficient even with a long drive thru and in store line. Inside there were few tables but for a restaurant this size it all worked out perfectly. This place is a hidden in plain sight gem. You honestly can't miss the building it's bright orange with flames and chicken painted on it. It's a tiny spot has few booths to sit at inside. They also have a drive through which can get backed up but it moves fairly quickly. Their food is pretty delicious for a great price. Their chicken is seasoned just right and falls off the bones. So freaking delicious. Their rice is your average rice nothing to right home about. The grilled onions were so good I had to go back and buy a side of them because I couldn't get enough. Confused how this place has anything other than 5 stars. When I go I get either the Al pastor tacos with beans and rice, or the dark meat chicken with beans and rice. The beans has meat in it. I always get the avocado salsa. And the horchata, which is the only thing that's kinda mediocre. Their food is top tier and there's a drive through option. Seriously perfection. Overall, despite not going for their obvious choice for the chicken, I decided to try their Tortas de Milanesa, and despite my request to have it a la carte to save some money, I was charged for the dinner. We love coming here if we want some authentic Mexican food! We especially love their chicken!! We love their family meal deal which is a whole chicken and a choice of 3 sides. We got rice, beans, and fries as the sides and all good. The meal size is pretty good maybe for a family of 3. Inside the place, there is a variety of 5 hot sauces you can get. The sauces are definitely hot, but so good on the chicken. They do have a catering menu which I'm for sure will be using for future parties. There is a drive thru, but be prepared for a long line. Tons of Mexican spots around the area but this one stood out because of it's whole family chicken dinners. And the drive through was a game seller.
