I normally don't review fast food places. I have to say I was odd drawn to for some reason. The food at this Culver's was very good. I have tried other Culver's, I did feel compelled to say that I thought the quality was really fresh and when the food was bought out to me it just seemed like the cooks and staff really cared. And the cheese curds were super fresh and piping hot! The service was great! I did make it harder since I had a gift card and the cashier needed assistance from another member. I did that person really was helpful in how he showed our cashier. The ambiance was great like all other Culver's. Can't go wrong. I love this Culver's location. Very clean and the staff is friendly. Everything is cooked to order so all the food comes out piping hot and fresh. The Wisconsin patty melt and cheese curds are my go to. Drive through takes a little bit of time due to everything being cooked to order but the system they have in place where the employees bring out your food to your car so it doesn't hold up the line. read more

This was my first time traveling to Chicago so I decided to try this place out since it was close to my hotel. I was so disappointed in the quality of the food. The staff recommended I get their patty melt and one of their infamous shakes ( I went with a peanut butter banana shake). The staff was super friendly and the food came out quickly. However, when I got to my hotel room, I took a bite out of the patty melt and noticed the burger patty was raw. I didn't feel like driving back to restaurant to get a new one so I just decided to snack on the fries. To my disappointment, they were so soggy and cold. But check out the menu for a variety of items even Beef pot roast sandwich! They have the most upbeat happy employees, so efficient and fast. If you love the drive through like I do, place your order at the window, pay, and they give you a number to put on your car window or door. You then will pull forward and wait a 1-3 minutes while they prepare it Fresh. Feel free to order light salt, no onions etc. Then, an employee runs your food out to your car. Feel free to tip these runners, they are quick and doing it in all weather. Tipping is not expected but accepted. Anything you give them, they are very appreciative and happy. Across the board employees at Culvers are happy workers. When you read on Glassdoor about working there at Culvers, the reviews from the actual employees are so positive. The owner was a son of a cheese-maker and grandson of a Wisconsin farmer. He spent the early part of his career inspecting dairy farms. So it started with quality ingredients and it continues with quality ingredients. Voted in February 2019, Best Burger Chain. Better in ambiance, food and convenience and Culvers voted third in ALL the fast food service chains! Watch what you are being charged for your order. Get your receipt before they make you go park. They will steal your money!! Please do not be a sheep and just hand over your card. My experience was with cash and I was trying to be helpful with the cash/change shortage. The amount changed three times from person on speaker and twice with cashier at the window. Not to mention a full $1 more than listed on their menu board. Even giving them the benefit of the doubt on the menu board, the tax rate would have been about 18%.
