    giant burrito with beef fajita
    Scott R.

Always wanted to try this place and finally did at lunch. We had the tacos and burrito within queso and chips. The service was the best part of our dining experience. The ambiance was dead nothing quite just a place to eat. The burrito was good with beef fajita and the queso was lukewarm warm at best and we were dining in!

Gosh this place is soooooo good. The inside seating area was empty, except for one party of 4. But the drive thru line seems very busy. Which makes me happy bc this place is amazing. We got fajitas, which were really good. Fresh, hot, flavorful chicken and tender beef. The tortilla soup is my favorite. Hubby got the rotisserie chicken enchiladas. Hubby liked them a lot. The lemonade is by far the freshest place tasting lemonade I've ever had. I wish they sold it by the gallon. And the cantaloupe juice is the bestest! Also, as a side note, the kitchen is immaculate clea

KATY, TX / CUBAN & MEXICAN / 04-02-22 / TAKEOUT LUNCH +The Havana Plate was delicious. It had a nice balance of stewed pork, vegetables, black beans, and rice. +The tacos were loaded up with meat. You can get traditional corn tortillas, flour, etc. +The kids enjoyed the chicken quesadilla. +They only serve 32 oz. drinks, so you don't have to think about what size drink cup you want. +Drive-thru available. -Wish there were some spicier sauces. The red and green sauces were okay, but not enough kick to it.

My order of beef Cuban and salmon taco all on flour tortillas ended with 2 weird tacos on corn (I have corn allergies) there was no beef or salmon in either of the tacos. Only onions, avocado, mushroom and cilantro. WTH some vegetarian got my protein and I got some veg taco:(

For the love of this Flavor!! I have been eating El Rey since I was a freshman in college 15 years ago I would stop by every morning for breakfast tacos downtown, they served them out of this little window. Was always My favorite part of the day here we are 15 years later and still loving every time I have an opportunity to stop by or see we treat El Rey quite similar to Buckys. You have to stop. My go to is always the Havana plate that flavor and mix with the onion and sautéed with black beans mmmm mouth watering. Their location are always immaculate and food is always fresh and hot! And served quickly. Enjoy!

This was one of my favorite spots when I lived in Montrose and I'm super glad to see one opened up in Katy! Honestly, all I know about is the breakfast taco situation. I'm told they have a lunch menu too but I can't tell you anything about it - this is a go-to-breakfast-taco-spot in my household. This morning I got an egg and potato (+ bacon because duh) breakfast taco on a flour tortilla. The kind gentleman at the register suggested I include refried beans, which I was all about. It was a good decision, I assure you. I love their hot sauces - they're the perfect compliment to the breakfast tacos and, I'd guess, also a wonderful accompaniment to any of their other dishes. The dining area is also pretty rad - we loved looking around at all the decor from our seat at the [very long] bar while we watched a soccer match on one of their giant TV's. They also have an impressive coffee selection. I have El Rey's Cafe Cubano to thank for my unusually productive Saturday afternoon. Double-win!

Me quieren matar o mandar al hospital o que? you guys want to kill me or send me to the hospital? serving me raw chicken in my salad!

This food amazed me ! It was amazing , everything was well seasoned. The juices were great. Reminds you of a real good taco truck almost , but to have this quality of food at a chain restaurant is very impressive!

    Give this guy a raise!

Had breakfast there the other day. I don't know about you guys but I love when they roll a burrito so that 5 different fillings inside are all separate inside the tortilla. I wouldn't want to have everything mixed up together so that I'm getting eggs, bacon, cheese, etc., all in one bite. I want to eat the eggs separately, then the bacon, then the potatoes.... You get the idea.

It's one of our special spots now because every visit feels like we're coming home. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the owner with such genuine warmth that we instantly felt like family. It reminded me of being at my grandma's house, where everyone is welcomed with a smile and every meal is made with love. The food is incredible--fresh, authentic, and full of flavor. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. Not only is the quality outstanding, but the portions are generous, so you definitely get your money's worth. It's becoming harder to find restaurants that offer both amazing quality and great portion sizes, and Castillo's delivers on both. The service is just as exceptional. Everyone is friendly, attentive, and truly cares about making your experience memorable. If you're looking for a place with delicious homemade food, generous portions, outstanding service, and an atmosphere that makes you feel like family, Castillo's is the place to go. My wife and I will definitely be back many more times. Highly recommend!

A special shoutout to Ulises, who made our experience exceptional. He was incredibly attentive, friendly, and fast without ever making us feel rushed. It's rare to find a restaurant that combines amazing food, excellent service, and thoughtful hospitality so well. We left already talking about our next visit, and we can't wait to come back and try their margaritas. Highly recommend!

After living in Houston for…read more15 years and dining all over the city, this was by far the most disappointing restaurant experience we've had. What made it even more frustrating is that we've been to the Cypress location many times, and every single visit there has been exceptional -- great food, great service, and consistently enjoyable. Unfortunately, the La Centerra location was the complete opposite. We waited over an hour for our food, only to receive the wrong appetizer. The fajita plate arrived cold and without rice, beans, or tortillas. We sent both dishes back. The replacement appetizer -- ceviche tostadas -- finally arrived, but it was overloaded with lemon to the point of being unbearably sour. Meanwhile, there were still no tortillas, rice, or beans in sight. No drink refills, no updates, and barely any service during the entire wait. After another long stretch of waiting, we finally asked the server what was happening, only for her to return and tell us the kitchen was closing and they no longer had tortillas, rice, or beans available. At that point, after nearly 1.5 hours, we walked out with nothing but a to-go box of fajita meat. To the manager's credit, they removed the appetizer and fajita charges from the bill, but the experience itself left such a bad taste that it completely overshadowed the gesture. Extremely disappointing, especially compared to the excellent standards we've experienced at the Cypress location. Sadly, we will not be returning to this location.
