giant burrito with beef fajita
Scott R.

Always wanted to try this place and finally did at lunch. We had the tacos and burrito within queso and chips. The service was the best part of our dining experience. The ambiance was dead nothing quite just a place to eat. The burrito was good with beef fajita and the queso was lukewarm warm at best and we were dining in!

Gosh this place is soooooo good. The inside seating area was empty, except for one party of 4. But the drive thru line seems very busy. Which makes me happy bc this place is amazing. We got fajitas, which were really good. Fresh, hot, flavorful chicken and tender beef. The tortilla soup is my favorite. Hubby got the rotisserie chicken enchiladas. Hubby liked them a lot. The lemonade is by far the freshest place tasting lemonade I've ever had. I wish they sold it by the gallon. And the cantaloupe juice is the bestest! Also, as a side note, the kitchen is immaculate clea

KATY, TX / CUBAN & MEXICAN / 04-02-22 / TAKEOUT LUNCH +The Havana Plate was delicious. It had a nice balance of stewed pork, vegetables, black beans, and rice. +The tacos were loaded up with meat. You can get traditional corn tortillas, flour, etc. +The kids enjoyed the chicken quesadilla. +They only serve 32 oz. drinks, so you don't have to think about what size drink cup you want. +Drive-thru available. -Wish there were some spicier sauces. The red and green sauces were okay, but not enough kick to it.

Flour salmon taco & flour Cuban

My order of beef Cuban and salmon taco all on flour tortillas ended with 2 weird tacos on corn (I have corn allergies) there was no beef or salmon in either of the tacos. Only onions, avocado, mushroom and cilantro. WTH some vegetarian got my protein and I got some veg taco:(

For the love of this Flavor!! I have been eating El Rey since I was a freshman in college 15 years ago I would stop by every morning for breakfast tacos downtown, they served them out of this little window. Was always My favorite part of the day here we are 15 years later and still loving every time I have an opportunity to stop by or see we treat El Rey quite similar to Buckys. You have to stop. My go to is always the Havana plate that flavor and mix with the onion and sautéed with black beans mmmm mouth watering. Their location are always immaculate and food is always fresh and hot! And served quickly. Enjoy!

This food amazed me ! It was amazing , everything was well seasoned. The juices were great. Reminds you of a real good taco truck almost , but to have this quality of food at a chain restaurant is very impressive!

Give this guy a raise!

Had breakfast there the other day. I don't know about you guys but I love when they roll a burrito so that 5 different fillings inside are all separate inside the tortilla. I wouldn't want to have everything mixed up together so that I'm getting eggs, bacon, cheese, etc., all in one bite. I want to eat the eggs separately, then the bacon, then the potatoes.... You get the idea.

This was one of my favorite spots when I lived in Montrose and I'm super glad to see one opened up in Katy! Honestly, all I know about is the breakfast taco situation. I'm told they have a lunch menu too but I can't tell you anything about it - this is a go-to-breakfast-taco-spot in my household. This morning I got an egg and potato (+ bacon because duh) breakfast taco on a flour tortilla. The kind gentleman at the register suggested I include refried beans, which I was all about. It was a good decision, I assure you. I love their hot sauces - they're the perfect compliment to the breakfast tacos and, I'd guess, also a wonderful accompaniment to any of their other dishes. The dining area is also pretty rad - we loved looking around at all the decor from our seat at the [very long] bar while we watched a soccer match on one of their giant TV's. They also have an impressive coffee selection. I have El Rey's Cafe Cubano to thank for my unusually productive Saturday afternoon. Double-win!

I've missed having easy access to Cuban food after having so much access to Porto's when I lived in LA, and Havana House absolutely hits the spot. - Cuban Sandwich (5/5): Delicious and a HUGE portion. One sandwich can easily feed 2 people to satisfaction. - Ham Croquetas (5/5): Croquetas are one of my favorite foods and these are no exception. Only wish they also made chicken croquetas too! - Stuffed Potato Ball (4/5): Hefty, rich, decadent. I can really only eat half of one before it makes me too full (and I usually have a big appetite) - Maduros (Sweet Plantains) and Tostones (Fried Green Plantains) (both 5/5): Perfectly sweet and savory - Braised Oxtail: Can't speak for this one directly but my fiance loved this one. Their menu has so much variety, but everything I've tried so far has always been well made and flavorful. Looking forward to my next visit. - Ambiance: 3.5/5 - Food: 5+++/5 - Service: 5/5

It was the best lemonade I have ever had - I'm pretty sure that they make most of their own juices - you can actually hear a blender or a juicer going while you're there. All of the foods were amazing - my 6 year old especially loved the croquettas. My Cuban sandwich was huge - maybe enough for 3-4 meals. We also got a tres leches to go! If you're looking for fancy ambience, this isn't the place for you - not saying that there is anything wrong, but it's very casual. Service was very good! We will absolutely be back and looking forward to trying their pastries and ropa vieja.

One of my favorite Cuban restaurants! Everything here is high quality and the prices are super…read morereasonable. They provide complimentary Cuban bread smeared with butter- so yum. I also ordered their strawberry lemonade, which had a thicker consistency for juice. It was refreshing and had just the right amount of sweetness and tartness. Their drinks are solid. I tried the Cuban sandwich, which was okay in my opinion. As I dove right into it, the pork flavor was interesting & every few pieces of the outer meat were a tad bit hard. When I ate it later for dinner though, the sandwich tasted so much better for some reason. Lol maybe cuz everything was marinating and softening idk. It's good, but I wouldn't order this sandwich again. I prefer chicken. I tried some of my dad's fricasa de cerdo. Loved it! Reminded me of a stew, but I would not drink the whole bowl because it is on the saltier side. It was served extra hot, and the chicken was tender. For the sides, my dad got the fried ripe plantains (sweet and soft) and the fried yucca sticks (tastes like potatoes - crispy on the outside), which paired nicely with a garlic sauce. Service was great! They are very warm and kind to their customers. I highlyyyy recommend this place to anyone looking for good Cuban cuisine. It's never too busy or loud when we go. Plenty of parking!
