tamarind chile and passion fruit habanero large marg
    Ashley T.

I loved the hospitality at this place omg it was great. our server was very nice and attentive and since I was a first timer i got a free corn elote and it was delicious. That corn elote was incredibly juicy and the right amount of lime. I forgot to take a picture of it with how fast i scarfed it down. Any questions don't be afraid to ask they got you. Our drinks were delicious. Personally i'm a heavyweight but my friend who's a lightweight was having a grand ole time. Both margs (passion fruit habanero and tamarind chile) in term of flavor were a 9 but I preferred the passion fruit for its tangyness. The chicken empanadas were flaky, crispy, juicy and everything you could want. In terms of vibe it was perfect for a nice catchup with a friend. I loved the decor and the bathroom was clean and had them full coverage doors. Will definitely be back for that happy hour again!

Top notch service and tasty food. Service and atmosphere: The service was outstanding! All staff members were very polite, helpful, and attentive. We felt very welcomed and well cared. The restaurant is located in the quiet Cinco Ranch shopping area. They offer many seating options inside and outside. The restaurant was clean and organised. Food and drinks: Very good selection in both food and drink menus. You can find here many traditional dishes. Everything is made fresh with locally sourced ingredients. The foods we ordered were very tasty, well seasoned with meats being tender, juicy and not overcooked. I would recommend to try their freshly baked pan dulce. They were delicious with coffee. Pricing: $$ - prices were standard compared to other places. Worth it!

I had a wonderful experience here with my two friends the other night here. Our waiter was so funny, everybody in the restaurant looked like they were having a good time, and the food was pretty good now that I know what to order. Chips and Salsa - 9.5/10 Margaritas - 10/10. If you get it on the rocks they give you the rest of the drink which is nice. The hibiscus one is the best. Street Corn - 4/10. Would not get again. Cevice - 3/10. Would not get again. Barbacoa Tacos - 9/10 Carne Asada Tacos - 8/10 Beef Fajita - 8.5/10

One of the best thing about this restaurant is the service ! Jocelyn (I spelled the name wrong), took great care of us. She was very nice and attentive. This place has one of the best drinks, both of my our drinks was delicious . I'd come back here just for the drinks alone. The food wasn't too bad. It's very different compared to your average Tex/mex restaurant. *Be advised - add your name to waitlist on Fri/Saturday dinner bc their will be a 30min-1hr wait*

We came here for a quick dinner and thoroughly enjoyed it. Service was solid, and everyone on the staff was incredibly friendly and warm. The margs were the star of the show. Each one we got was amazing, but my personal favorite was the passion fruit habanero one! They were all solid though, I don't think you can go wrong! The food was good as well. Nothing that blew my socks off, but was good enough to say I'd be back!

We had such an amazing food experience at Ambriza. We got lucky and didn't have to wait too long especially on a Saturday evening. The servers were so knowledgeable and proud of the Mexican heritage they're wanting to represent. As first timers, we were welcomed with the most delicious, warm and soft conchas I have ever tried. For dinner, we got the fajita, and beef quesadilla. The meat was very juicy and tender. The flavors were excellent. The complimentary salsa and chips were also fantastic. We were so stuffed. We were dining in celebration of my dad's birthday and the team came out with a churro cart and made my dad feel so special. We had a great time, enjoyed great food and can't wait to come back.

Place is super cute and bright, clean. Greeted when we walked in. I was invited over after a friend said they were going for happy hour so I figured why not try it. Started off with water, chips and salsa and then ordered a margarita. Eventually ordered Baja fish tacos, they were delicious and well worth the $7 (2 are given in this order, no sides). Mango chamoy margarita I got frozen with tajin rim and loved it, first time trying a mango margarita. Only negatives were it took forever to put in a food order. It was a guy going around serving water that we told we were ready to order since the guy at the bar hadn't checked on us in awhile, so he had to get someone's attention to do that for us. And then our original bartender clocked out so it was a while before another person checked on us. Also it wasn't until the end that we noticed they had purse holders to the right of the doors. 3 girls walk in with purses and you'd think they offer one since there's no hooks at the bar. I'd come back, but I wonder if I'd get better service just sitting at a table instead.

Had Mother's Day brunch at Ambriza in La Centerra and it was amazing. Drinks and food were delicious.

The food at Ambriza was absolutely delicious! We ended our meal with the mini churros for dessert, which came with three different dipping sauces--one was definitely chocolate, and the others I can't quite remember, but they were all so good. Highly recommend trying them! The atmosphere was lively and inviting. I've heard the rooftop turns into more of a club vibe at night with music, though I haven't experienced that myself. Either way, the place gives off great energy with a fun, upbeat environment and tasty food to match. Definitely worth a visit!

Love love love it here! It's very authentic and cultural. Love the restaurant decor and vibe. Had a great server that gave great options for brunch. Had the tres leches pancakes and was not disappointed. Also had the cucumber popular drink, which they won an award for. It was very refreshing! Great visit.

Great vibes I love to come for happy hours they have huge drink selection and happy hour food enough to get you full. I also like live bands or dj with salsa on the roof top on weekend nights! Hard to find lively action in katy this is a must do! The only reason I don't give them. 5 stars is because sometimes the service can be a little off. It may take them a while but I do eventually get what I ordered when I am patient.

Came here with some coworkers so we could try something new! This place did not disappoint. The restaurant is nice and has a really welcoming vibe. Service was impeccable, they waited on us like we were royalty! I just didn't catch their names, but everyone was so nice! Food was great! I had the pork belly tacos and they gave us these corns! Everything was so good! I will definitely be coming back to try more food.

I have lived near this establishment for almost 2 years now and have never tried it. So today we…read moredecided to give it a try and it was worth it 100%. They serve brunch on Saturday and Sunday until 330. The brunch menu is huge. It is not a super large menu, which I feel very endearing. We decided to try the bagel and lox with cream cheese, the Buzz burger with fries, and their homemade chips. They start off by bringing you this beautiful craft of bottled water. That to me was an amazing bonus. We also ordered two sodas which came in a can. I sort of wish it was a more of a fountain drink than one can of soda for the price. *Now service was super slow. However, the waitress did come and tell us that they are running a little behind and she apologized for it and she was super sweet, so that made up for the weight. How do I known how long it was going to take, I don't know if I would've stayed, but in the end, the food was amazing. The burger was cooked to perfection. My boyfriend is a hamburger snob and he kept saying how good it was how fresh it was and how perfectly cooked it was. They serve you shoestring fries that feel like they're double fried and they were phenomenal. My bagel was toasted perfectly and had a very good amount of cream cheese and lox. As a Jewish girl living in the area that I do, it's very hard to find good bagels with lox and cream cheese. I will most definitely be back for this sooner than later. The homemade chips took quite a while to come out, and at one point I was ready to say we don't need it, but these potato chips beat Buccees beaver chips, 100%. They were super fresh and very crunchy and tasted amazing. I will definitely recommend those to anybody that orders some. My boyfriend then ordered a tropical sunrise smoothie and it was so tasty and tasted like a strawberry banana smoothie. Now once again that did take a long time to come out and at one point, we were wishing we had not ordered it but once we did get it, it was really good and I highly recommend it. The restaurant is not very large and it's the perfect brunch spot for anybody looking for a smaller Cafe with very good choices.

Another pleasant surprise in what I'm going to arbitrarily designate as a brunch fusion menu…read more Firstly, it's a very nice layout. Tables are well spaced plenty of room eight crisp environment really just a very comfortable ambience. The services superlative from the moment you walk in in which you are immediately accommodated to the server who takes an order and then the servers who serve the food which is not necessarily one in the same. It's simply a very efficient service system and very pleasant if you're a customer. You get warm food. In my case I had hollandaise with Salman underlying it, which was very good. The eggs were cooked perfectly the hollandaise not by any means obnoxious but a very deliberate Irving and a wonderful salad, which both underlines the egg and is served as a side with the eggs, which were perfectly poached. In so far as the buzz is concerned, there are wines and beer available and really quite an extensive menu in both. I enjoyed a beer with mine, which I know it sounds like an odd combination, but it worked quite well for me. Really this is a wonderful addition to Katy options for breakfast or brunch.

Our waitress was super sweet but you could tell they were either understaffed or not used to being that full. It took super long time for all of our food to come out. Appetizers came over 40 minutes after ordering and the mains came over an hour and 15 mins or so after we arrived, and that was with the mains being ordered halfway through the apps. The first bite of the oyster was ok. It didn't taste like it was just made but maybe pre-prepped perhaps. We were supposed to receive bread soon after the first bite but we didn't. It was difficult to flag someone down because the waitstaff was moving fast and bringing out food for all the tables. We received our appetizers and then I had to let them know that we didn't get bread. So our bread and appetizers were eaten together. Now onto the food. We ordered the shrimp, jollof ball, calamari, and tacos. The calamari was straight up not good. We didn't finish it and no one in our party thought it tasted fresh. It had a very odd texture. It wasn't chewy or have a bite like normal calamari does but it was like a sponge. We all took one piece. Our party is all about not wasting food but the fact that the appetizer was not finished was very telling. The shrimp had good flavor but wasn't spectacular. The tacos were good. The jollof ball was spicy and nice. Between the appetizer and the entree there was over 35 minute gap. For this reason, we asked if we could have more bread, but they said they charged for extra bread. Tbh, I don't mind if places charge little for bread service, but if it takes over 35 minutes for the entree to come out, I'd expect the restaurant to give another piece of bread per person for no fee. That's just good customer service but alas we declined the bread. For the mains we ordered the brai (10) up charge, the lamb chops, the ribeye, and pork chop. The ribeye was great, cooked well, juicy and with good flavor. Lamb chops were also nice. The pork had an interesting flavor that my party member wasn't fond of, but it was cooked nicely and was reasonably juicy. The big miss was the brai. It had a 10 dollar upcharge for 1 row of lateral axis short rib, 1 lamb chops, and 1 sausage. The short rib was fine but a crap ton of fat. The lamb chop was good, the sausage was raw in the middle. When I brought it up to someone that the sausage was raw, they took the same sausage and cooked it until it was done. Keep in mind the restaurant is dark and my other companions had some of the sausage but the outer pieces. I had a piece in my mouth and had to spit it out because I could feel the raw meat sausage texture in my mouth. Instead of bringing me a new sausage they took the same one, which to me is outrageous especially because I had spit out a good piece. The waitress apologized but I had to ask to speak to the manager instead of someone coming to our table first. When they brought the same sausage out, it rolled off the plate onto the table....i just accepted it. They took off the 10 dollar up charge off the bill but I don't think that was enough especially with the whole debacle of the sausage being raw. I expected the restaurant to have a solution but I was put on the spot about what they needed to do. I wished I'd asked for the 1 meal to be half off or more than 10 dollars off just because of everything and the food quality and the terrible wait times. The mashed potatoes also weren't great. Green beans were good, jollof rice side was good. Desserts were fine. All in all, we expected better quality of food and service.

Let me start by saying I've been here multiple, multiple times & I've never had any food items that weren't good. I always get breakfast (even if it's lunch time) so I don't know much about the lunch items. Not only is the food outstanding with a creative twist, it's consistent. Over the years, the place has expanded several times so now there is a decent amount of dine-in seating in addition to the outdoor seating. The place still stays packed but with their wait list in advance/text notification system & efficiency in seating customers, if there is a wait things move along smoothly. Additionally, anyone who is waiting knows it's worth the wait!! The service staff are friendly. The atmosphere is homey & they decorate for the various holidays & seasons. Owner/chef Lori is always walking around asking guests if everything is ok. On at least 2 occasions she happened to chat with me/my guest about some dietary restrictions & she whipped something up for us to try. My go-to dish is the harvest breakfast where you can pick 4 breakfast items from a list. This is a great way to sample more menu items. Here's my take on some of my favorites: - Sourdough pancakes are thin & really delicious. - Belgium Leige waffle is very sweet with the pearl sugar "nuggets" in them so taste them before you add a lot of syrup. - Scrambled eggs are well seasoned, not bland. - Avocado & tomato or the fresh fruit are nice light touches as one of the side item choices. - Fried chicken tenders are really good. Spice level 3 (medium) is not that spicy. It's flavorful. - Grilled chicken tenders are good. As much as I typically eat grilled or baked chicken, I allow myself to choose fried for these. - Grits are creamy. I get them with no cheese. I'm not a big grits person but I do like these! The menu is very extensive. It includes vegan, vegetarian, keto & gluten free. Is the breakfast a little pricey, the answer is "it's all relative." Sometimes it's just worth paying for a great meal. In case you haven't gotten the message, Harvest Kitchen is a must try. Do yourself a favor & have a visit. I'm betting it will stay on your list as a repeat eating spot!! Tips: - Use the text message wait list & signup before you leave your house. - You can always get 1 pancake on the side for $5. - 15% gratuity is included at checkout, as you pay you'll get options for an additional % or custom % like 0%, 3, 5% or more.
