I can't speak for anything else on their menu since I've ONLY had breakfast tacos, but I can say they always taste AMAZING! I've only visited in the morning running through the drive thru, so again, I can't speak for the inside, service, or anything else on the menu. Good food but BEWARE ALWAYS ASK FOR AND CHECK YOUR RECEIPT!! Ever since i been coming to this restaurant i always tell them keep the receipt. The total would always be significantly greater than the menu price but i thought maybe inflation. But yesterday i only ordered nachos and the cashier told me okay $14 and some change is my total. Okay great no problem. i tap my phone to pay and my bank sent me a notification saying it was 20 dollars and some change. Before i can ask her why so much? she closed the drive thru window and never returned. She sent a young man back to hand me my food. So i asked him to give me my receipt and also to tell her to come back to the window to explain what happened. Wow! This has made my day. My husband and I used to live in San Diego and my go to was always a California burrito or Carne Asada fries. We found this place on Google and decided to drive 52 minutes since I've been craving this. The serving size were just as big as what they would serve in California. The fries could easily be shared by 2-3 people. The carne asada was perfectly seasoned and not bland at all. Just the right amount of cheese and guacamole! The fries can be just a tad bit crispier but we're still amazing. The California burrito is heavy and the size of my forearm. It's pretty big but my husband ate it without a problem. We asked for fries instead of regular potatoes and wanted to add guacamole but they didn't give us guacamole or substitute for fries. The burrito was still amazing! Overall, I would recommend this place! It's not your regular TexMex. It's Baja style Mexican food. Hope you enjoy just as much as we did. We will Be returning for sure. read more

I've been here twice now. The first time I had taquitos and a torta. Both were really good. I'm a big sandwich person and I really enjoy a good torta. I've gotten a few around town that aren't too great but the carne asada torta is really good. The taquitos were topped with guacamole, cheese, and lettuce. I thought that might make them soggy but to my surprise it did not. I ended up coming back a couple weeks later to get another torta. It's close to my house, inexpensive, and delicious. Los Balito's has such a down to earth, comfy atmosphere. Really like the authenticity of the foods. Very San Antonio. Super awesome breakfast tacos (better than most places around Cinco Ranch). They also have regular tacos, enchilada plates and others sides. When you go in, you have choice to either order to go or seat yourself at a table and order in. It's a no frills atmosphere. The people who work here are hard working and friendly. All the love goes into preparing the food. You can tell by how wonderfully generous the fillings are and the cost! This place is inexpensive. We had quite a few different tacos. Chorizo and egg, bacon and egg, fish, carnitas, papa ranchero, papa Mexicana, ham & egg. The chorizo and egg & bacon were flavorful. The carnitas was the star of my mouth for sure! So tender and seasoned with perfection. I'm mad that I just didn't order all carnitas tacos. Superb! The fish taco was seasoned well too but a little over cooked. It wasn't a big deal though. They sauce they used in that taco complemented the fish. Yum! Our daughter enjoyed the rolled chicken taquitos. Like what kid wouldn't like taquitos?? The papa ranchero has super crisp potatoes and red tomato sauce. The papa Mexicana had softer potatoes and pico De Gallo. I liked the ranchero slightly more than the Mexicana. Ham and egg was cooked nicely too. In all the breakfast tacos, the egg component was cooked just right. Los Balitos also has a salsa bar for your tacos. Personally, I found the hottest (looked like a Chile de Arbil sauce) to be a medium heat-wise and slightly bitter. There was a bitter component that I found in all the sauces. The hottest as well as the green had complex flavors but I just couldn't get past the bitter notes. The mild was very watery but child friendly. My daughter used a lot of that on her rolled chicken taquitos. M They have a nice assortment of Mexican beverages like Mexican coke, topo Chico and Sidral Mundet Apple soda. Due to this pandemic, I can't fly back to LA for street mini tacos. 1) my company doesn't allow me to travel for personal anymore and 2) I don't even think the big food truck is out there or which days even if I sneak away. For the price, it's not bad for Katy area. Mini tacos are pretty simple and I like it as I can taste all the flavors with the double corn tortillas. Burritos are always wrapped tightly, long, and not in a short ball. So all the goodies in the burrito doesn't fall out as easily. Fish tacos (#8) was also good. The rice was a little watery and the beans are okay. For a late night quick dinner, it's pretty satisfying for how much you pay. There's also outdoor picnic tables by the front. You can order to go and just eat outside if that's what your heart desire. That's always a nice option if mosquitoes aren't out to suck your soul (I'm sorry, I mean your blood). read more

We moved to Texas a 1 year ago and have been looking for a good Mexican restaurant and we finally found it!! Their hard shell tacos are legit hard shell, not like fast food. Their Chile relleno a we're fluffy and cheesy and their enchilada sauce is Smokey and just spicy enough! Their chips for their nachos are nice and thin and crispy.
