Amazing food! We've ordered from here a few times and it never disappoints! The chicken is extremely flavorful as is the grouper.

$$$ ASK FOR THE LUNCH SPECIALS!! Otherwise, everything is ala carte. Lunch for two (sin alcohol) 44 bucks for an order of carne frita and an order of longaniza. Both with rice and beans, small salad. ADD one drink each, an order of charred amarillos, and some extra rice to go with your sausage and you've somehow hit $44! Rice, beans, carne frita, salad - all good. The sausage had nice peppers and onions but I wasn't a fan of the actual sausage. The young lady serving us was adorable and helpful (and good at up-charging). read more

The place is located on a plaza, the food is on a small table as soon as you walked in. I bought a soup to give it a try but honestly is was awful, for meat, it was pigs feet. No flavor at all! The plaza is small, dirty, etc.... definitely not my choice. read more

Simple Dominican food in an ever revolving local. The owners dont seem to know what to do with the place. The food however has stayed decent but nothing more. I typically come here every once in a while for a bit of nostalgic eating. Nothing to brag about though. One thing I can say is that they always seem to have a special going on. I have made many stews and the main ingredients are always a nice mix of vegetables. Well don't expect that here. If you order beef stew it's just beef in a real vinegary brownish red broth. Oh wait but we also ordered the ox tail and it's the same exact broth no vegetables. So it's like that restaurant that everything taste the same. We had tried our friends roasted pork which guess what? It had tons of vinegar. But let's give them some credit, the rice is yummy but oh damn they messed up our order and no beans were included although they come with the plate. The sweet plantains were not sweet. So you ready for the best part? I called to complain that the order was jacked up she said call grub hub and complain to them. Woooooowa. Not a sorry our bad nothing. Well let me say this dont order via grub hub because you get the worst response from the restaurant. It's a too bad so sad from this restaurant. Thank you grub hub for refunding us! One of my biggest concerns about moving from South Florida to North Port was that we were not going to be able to find any really good and authentic Hispanic food. My husband and I were craving a Dominican soup the other day and we started to do our research and found this cute little spot in Port Charlotte that is now our new favorite Dominican restaurant. It definitely replaced our favorite place in Davie and my husband said it reminded him of his favorite place from back in New York (and if you guys know anything about New Yorkers and their taste in food, you'd know that this is a HUGE compliment). If you haven't eaten here yet, you should definitely make a trip and try it for yourself.
