I was craving mole enchiladas and scrolled down through my list of saved places to check out. I called in to order some enchiladas to go, 2 with chicken and 2 with cheese. They came with a side of rice and refried beans. I asked if it was okay to substitute the refried beans with a green salad. They said that was fine. The order was ready in twenty minutes. They have limited parking in the front but have street parking available. The inside is spacious and has several tables. They accept both cash and card. They have a sweets area with a variety of different dulces. Customer service was quick and friendly. The enchiladas were delicious. The mole was delicious. Finally made it back for a local fundraiser and so glad we did. I don't get here as often as I used to because I no longer work in the area, but I should make the drive because I missed this place. We ordered the menudo and huarache de asada from the fundraising menu and two tacos, barbacoa and cuerito. Everything is spot on and delicious. Menudo the way I like it without grano/hominy and with pata! Asada was tasty and of course the star of the show was the barbacoa! I usually get a full plate but only had the taco because of the fundraiser. Cuerito was tasty too. Anyway, happy I was able to support a local school and eat at one of my favorite restaurants!!! read more

Nice Mexican "hole in the wall" place. We got the tacos arabes, quesadilla and enchiladas. Pros - the tacos arabes are bomb as is the sauce it comes with. Everything else was good too. We were just there a couple days ago, crabbing some Mexican flavor and we decided to to step in to try this place back again after about a year from the last time we had visited, I now recalled why we have not going back more often , the place it is very small about 5 or 6 tables , this location is set up a fast food place with the prices of a chain restaurant.... The service is definitely slow ... the food is Ok , not the greatest , the best thing they have is the Barbacoa, and the quesadilla of flor de calabaza besides that the rest of the menu is eatable , but nothing to go out of your way to get it .besides the prices are not budget friendly, a quesadilla is $10.00 so you have an idea on the pricing a meal for 2 was $ 55.00 which I believe it is expensive for what we actually get ... I passed & saw this little hole on the wall restaurant one day visiting an uncle that moved to that area and I was excited to see it served food from Puebla and more happy to see they had Cemitas! So the next time i visit my uncle I had to stop. And Im glad I did. OMG, They were Great and delicious! Yes, its a tiny place, small parking lot, but enough parking on the street, so that shouldn't be a problem. It did take a bit long, but it was well worth it! Look at the menu ahead of time to get an idea of what you want. Head to the counter and place your order then grab a seat. Listen to music while you eat. It's small so I noticed people would order pick up. There's also a variety of candy from Mexico which my son wanted. We tried the Torta Cubana, Flautas de Barbacoa, Quesadilla Flor de Calabaza. This place is it! Delicious cemitas, quesadillas, memelas, and everything else looks just as good. My favorite is the cemita de milanesa de pollo, which is on a delicious sesame bun, has the best cheese (which you can also purchase to take home) and comes with a side of cooked chiles which I could eat a whole plate of as well! Such a hidden gem in Baldwin Park! It's a family owned restaurant and the staff is very friendly. There is seating available inside the quaint shop. This was my first time trying a Cemita and it was delicious! I've never been a huge sandwich person but this one is loaded and it's honestly similar to the photos. The veggies are fresh, it's toasted nicely, and the meat inside was juicy. It's easily shareable in my opinion. read more

It was my 1st time trying El Rincon Del Sabor Poblano and let me tell ya ... wow! It's tucked in a small parking lot shared with a bar next door, but you can get in and out in a timely manner. This restaurant is fairly close to me and I've been wanting to try out a new taco spot for the longest and finally decided to stop by for dinner. We ordered through GrubHub and everything went well once we got there. Our food was bagged up nicely and neatly ready to go. Everything was wrapped up tightly in aluminum foil which kept our food warm and fresh. The order comes with salsas, grilled onions x jalapeño slices, lime wedges & chipotle peppers in a baggie (for the cemitas). CARNE ASADA TACO: 10/10 - these were my fav! Simple & satisfying. Flavor of the Asada was on point, not too salty or chewy. AL PASTOR TACO: 8/10 - flavor was nice, just a little bland, but the green salsa & lime juice surely did it justice. Yum! CEMITAS MILANESA DE POLLO: 8.5/10 - unique! I've never had anything like this before & I'm glad I tried it! This huge sandwich will fill you up nicely. The crunchiness of the chicken cutlet/toasted sesame bun to the stringy cheese *drool* & the balance of flavors + textures = a win. Overall, service was quite fast & the food came out very fresh! I got a chance to visit my hometown in Puebla this past year. Besides missing my family and the good people of Mexico, I found myself missing the food almost as much. Thankfully, one day, on our way home to LA, my wife and I found ourselves hunkering for some tlacoyos. I searched yelp and found this spot. Although they didn't have tlacoyos, they did have memelas and cemitas. Suffice to say, when I'm feeling a bit homesick, I will stop by; have a cemita, listen to the music they have playing on the background, sonidero and cumbia, and immediately I'm remind why Mexican food is the best in this world. I can't believe how authentic and delicious this place is. I went for breakfast with my mom and she was so amazed by the variety of the different dishes available . We decided to order a lb of barbacoa and panza de borrego(my first time trying panza) it was delicious. I love that they give you hand made tortillas and fresh salsas. My mom was in recovery at Kaiser after having knee replacement surgery, so I was bored. When I get bored, I get hungry. So...what did I do? Naturally I started driving around, looking for somewhere to eat. I found this place through Yelp! but I never would've found it if not for Yelp! because it's in a tiny parking lot and pretty hidden in a more industrial type of area. Hidden gem for sure! I got a bunch of tacos (some to eat there, and some to take home for myself and for my mom). Tacos were great & pretty big! I also had a big Mexican coke to wash it all down. The little corner its on doesn't look so appealing but inside the restaurant is another story. I loved everything that I had which was a corn quesadilla with mushrooms, huitlacoche ( corn smut) and squash blossoms and a taco arabe. It was all so good and last but not least i cannot forget to mention the tepache, it really hit the spot. Looking forward to trying the mole poblano and a cemita. From how it looks on the outside to how it looks on the inside, the food on the menu, how they serve the food, and the water that they serve is only bottled water (not tap), which is just like Mexico. I ordered 3 tacos: barbacoa, pastor y pancinta. It comes with onions and cilantro. It was pretty good. Prices and quantity of food is reasonable. It took a little while for the food but I came with a bigger group so it's understandable. Very small parking lot, but there is parking on the street.
