A perfect brunch spot to start mom's birthday. I arrived earlier than my party to reserve a table for seven expecting a longer wait time, though to my amazement there was already one available. The hostess, servers, and every employee for that matter, were very polite, greeting us upon arrival while also thanking us upon leaving. The menu was diverse but focused, specializing in traditional Mexican breakfast like chilaquiles and other American classics like pancakes. My table ordered three orders of chilaquiles and one birria plate, and everyone was thoroughly pleased with their choices. I especially loved where we were seated under the cherry blossom tree, away from the rest of the dining area in the center of the room. First time having Horchata Iced Matcha and it was really good. It wasn't very sweet and had great matcha flavor. I liked my Ahi Tuna Tostada. I wasn't sure what to expect but gave it try since I like ahi tuna. It was actually yummy. The tuna was packed with flavor and it was more of a tartare. My visit to in Baldwin Park was truly beautiful. The scenery was vibrant and thoughtfully designed, whoever the owner is must have a for cows ! As an animal lover myself, I absolutely appreciated the rainbow cow theme . It creates such a lively and welcoming atmosphere . My personal favorite part was their cherry blossom tree. It instantly caught my attention and brought such a peaceful feeling The staff like a family, their teamwork was clear, and their warmth radiated throughout the café. My waitress, Saleen, was especially sweet, attentive, hardworking, and always made sure I had everything I needed. Crystal was also incredibly endearing, and her hardworking nature did not go unnoticed. As for the food, the Chile Relleno Eggs Benedict was a standout... such a ǫ and combination! I had never tried anything like it before. I also ordered their iced café de olla since I'm a huge iced coffee lover, and it was absolutely delightful. They also offer milk alternatives, which I always appreciate. Came here around noon on a Sunday and there was about a 30-35 minute wait, but it was absolutely worth it! We started with the chicharrón and guacamole, and it ended up being my favorite part of the meal. Everything tasted so fresh and flavorful--I could've kept eating it all day. For drinks, we ordered the matcha and a frappé, and they were almost too cute to drink! I love aesthetically made drinks, and these definitely delivered both in presentation and taste. I was craving chilaquiles, so I ordered the birria chilaquiles. They were delicious, and the portion was huge! It came with so much birria that I still had leftovers to take home. Got outside seating, and the shade was perfect, sun didn't bother us at all at any point. The pancakes were great as always , haven't had a pancake from here that I didn't like. The chilaquiles and huevos rancheros were good. The horchata matcha wasn't great, my party said it tasted like tap water. The strawberry Jamaica was too sweet, didn't really taste like Jamaica, only could taste the strawberry syrup. Had to water it down and add lemon to balance out the sweetness. I came here a few yrs ago when it was called Vaca. Back then, I used to come quite frequently cause I worked closer, and the staff back then was really friendly. So I noticed that the place itself was still functioning, but w a different name. Since they didnt say anything about a new management, I assume they only changed the name and period. And again, a friendly staff greets me, they have mostly the same decor I notice and soon enough, a waitress takes my order quickly, and then, I end up ordering a black mole chilaquile and I believe a peanut horchata or something like that. I may not be mexican, but I have tried mole hundreds of time, regular mole, red one, black one and green one, and even tho the taste was there, the level of SALT this plate had, was alarming. We decided to try this place for Father's Day, and I am so glad they open at 7:00 a.m. We were able to make a reservation for 7:45 a.m. and avoid all of the crowds. The restaurant is located in a strip mall with ample parking. The space itself is very quaint and thoughtfully decorated. It was a beautiful morning, so we opted to sit on the patio, which made for a great start to the day. The staff was friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout our visit. My husband ordered the Latte-tini, which he greatly enjoyed as his morning coffee drink. I had the Strawberry Matcha, which is sweetened with honey and topped with a strawberry foam. As someone who normally drinks matcha unsweetened, I was a little disappointed that the sweetness level could not be adjusted. However, I was pleasantly surprised that it was not overly sweet. I still would have preferred a little less sweetness, but it was a balanced drink overall, and the honey flavor was a nice touch. My husband ordered the Chile, Relleno Burger, which he absolutely loved and devoured. The Chile relleno paired well with the burger, and the burger was not as large as he initially expected, which actually worked out perfectly for him. The fries were also flavorful and nicely crispy. My son ordered the chicken tenders and fries, which were a solid option for kids. I ordered the Lengua en su Jugo, which featured a delicious, non-spicy green sauce with beans, bacon bits, and garnishes. It was genuinely delicious. The lengua was tender without being chewy or mushy, and the flavors came together really well. Honestly, the only thing I was disappointed by was that the tortillas were not handmade. To finish, my husband and I shared an order of the molletes, which ended up being the highlight of the meal. The bread was light and airy rather than a thick, heavy bolillo, and the butter and sugar added the perfect touch of sweetness and crispness. It was one of those morning where we were running behind schedule and just grab something. We yelped for a quick bite and saw pradera. Looked at some pictures and got the breakfast sandwich and banana foster pancakes. We ate the food in the car. I was impressed because we ordered to go and they separated the banana foster sauce. Btw I have no idea what banana foster was my son picked it from a photo. Later we learned that. Banana foster is cooked with alcohol. I'm sure the alcohol is burned off but once mom found out me and my son switched meals. We both enjoyed both dishes. My son age 6 watches nick digiovanni on YouTube. He was lured by pradera's wagyu burger. He loves the burger and fries so much. That he actually finishes his meal. This boy can't finish a McDonald's happy meal burger or a plain in n out cheeseburger. We've returned several times because of this. Since then we've tried several things. Special mention to their pork belly dishes. I think we tried the pork belly fried rice and pork belly tacos. Pradara cooks pork belly a little different here. Worth coming just to try the pork belly dishes. On our 4th or so visit we came with friends who also have picky eating kids. They also finished their wagyu burgers without having to bribing them with ipad. Ran into the owner. He mentioned that "pradera" means " the meadow" - very nice he mentioned that cause it helps me remember the restaurant name. Very chill place. I was excited to try this place and was a bit disappointed as service was not the best. It was not such a busy day, and we kept having to ask for refills on water. We ordered the boring breakfast, queso fundido(appetizer)- which only came with 3 tortillas which was not enough to finish the appetizer. We ordered the breakfast skillet and the chilaquiles. The bacon was burned on both plates. We got the appetizer and no plates until after eating for a while then they brought plates. Also thought it was interesting we got plastic cups for water while the table next to use got regular cups. I ordered the pink carlota drink and it was delicious. I really wanted to like this place, but the experience was more frustrating than enjoyable. First off, if you're trying to make a reservation, don't bother calling -- no one answers. My cousin tried calling on two different days with no luck. When we signed up on the waitlist, the app showed no parties ahead of us, but when we asked in person we were told there were two parties ahead. Then the app suddenly showed one person ahead of us? Very confusing and poorly communicated. We were told the wait would be 40 minutes or less, but we ended up waiting over an hour. While this wasn't entirely the restaurant's fault (a large party had already paid and chose not to leave), it still affected the overall experience. This place is definitely not recommended for large parties -- everyone else seemed to get seated quickly. Food-wise, it was hit or miss. The licuado de chocolate was delicious -- very chocolatey, and I loved that you could actually taste the banana. The chilaquiles were yummy, and the guacamole had good flavor. However, some of the chicharrón was too hard, which was disappointing. On top of that, we weren't given any utensils or napkins for the appetizers (chicharrón and ceviche), which feels like a basic oversight. There was also confusion around refills. Fountain soda is free refill, but Mexican Coke isn't since it's bottled -- fine. However, orange juice for my little cousin wasn't a refill either, which wasn't clear. The menu states free refills for café de olla, but when we asked, we were told that only applies to hot café de olla -- something that wasn't specified on the menu. Overall, the food has potential, but between the long wait, inconsistent communication, lack of basic table setup, and unclear policies, the experience fell short. With better organization and clearer expectations, this place could be much better. read more

Let's start before you even get there: my cousins called four times over two days to ask about hours and reservations -- no one ever answered, she even left voicemails. So if you're planning to call ahead, don't rely on it. We were quoted a 40-minute or less wait at 10:50 a.m. Yelp showed zero parties ahead of us, and the hostess confirmed it. Suddenly, there were two parties ahead of us... then five more parties were seated before us. We were told the tables "had paid already and were just waiting to leave." After 20 minutes of that explanation, we were finally seated at 12:20 p.m. That's a 1 hour and 30 minute wait for a promised 40 minutes. Also important to note: for parties of 6 or more, 20% gratuity is automatically added, so even if service is rough, you're still paying it. Now, the good: The inside is BEAUTIFUL -- very woodsy and floral, super aesthetic. They also have two gender-neutral bathrooms, which is appreciated. Food-wise, the chicharrón and guac was delicious -- super crispy and flavorful. I ordered the pork belly eggs benedict (scrambled), and the pork belly was AMAZING. Potatoes were crispy, eggs tasted like eggs (which is good), and the sauce worked well. Service, however, was very disorganized. Our server was Ariana, but honestly, it was hard to tell because multiple people were helping us and no one really checked in. They brought our food before utensils and napkins -- we had to ask for them. When they finally arrived, only three people got metal utensils and the rest of us got plastic ones I ordered an iced café de olla. The menu states "free refill," but apparently that only applies to the hot version -- which is not specified anywhere on the menu. I had the manager (Daisy) clarify, and she confirmed it's hot drinks only. I suggested they update the menu, because as written, it's misleading. To top it off, no one checked on us while we were eating. Drinks for my cousin's boyfriend and the little girl with us ran out, and we couldn't ask for refills because... no one came by. I'm still low-key salty about my café de olla refill situation . Overall: beautiful space and good food, but the wait time, lack of communication, and inattentive service really hurt the experience. We were a bit intimidated by the possible wait time but decided to try it out it anyway. Party of 4, peak hour, and we were seated in less than 30 minutes on a Saturday ( late morning).
