The rainy weather and Happy Hour specials were calling on this Friday afternoon. We arrived just before 4p, and to my surprise, there's a daily lunch special that ends at 4p. While everything on the menu sounded good for just $12 a meal, I stuck with the quesabirria and pork belly tacos, as well as the enchiladas. Everything was delicious, especially the tacos. My girlfriend and I tried the tamarindo and watermelon margaritas at just $7 a drink during Happy Hour and were thoroughly pleased, so much so that my gf, who tries tamarindo margaritas wherever she goes, wanted me to share with you guys just how much the one here at La Cosecha is her favorite. Overall, the service was great while we sat at the bar, the food and drinks were delicious, and the prices were quite affordable. My mother and I came in on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't super packed with folks. This place definitely looks like there's more ambience in the nighttime with the music and decor but we still had a good time! As we walked in, we were greeted and sat right away- It did take some time to take our drink order, but the server was still super friendly, and willing to answer any questions. I ordered a pineapple drink that is similar to a piña colada without the blended ice and my mom ordered a margarita. I would say their specialty is more leaning towards the drinks rather than the food so expect to pay nothing less than $15 for a drink. I got the aguachiles, which is a traditional seafood dish that is essentially marinated and cooked in lime juice with spicy salsa on top. This plate, however, wasn't as spicy as I expected it to be, but still very yummy and satisfied my cravings. My mom ordered the Carne Asada plate and said it was very yummy, but the portion was not worth $35; compared to what a traditional Mexican restaurant would serve for a similar if not lesser price. Found this nice Mexican bistro when I was craving pancakes. A large group was ahead of us but I have made a reservation for 2 on the app. There was hardly any wait to be seated. We got complimentary conchas with our drink order. The cafe de Olla was so good, it was just a little too sweet for me. I asked for regular coffee as refill. Coffee was hot and freshly brewed. My son ordered the La Cosecha breakfast- steak, eggs, chilaquiles, house potatoes, beans, sour cream, queso fresco, red and green sauce. I had the classic breakfast- eggs, bacon, house potatoes, and pancake. Luckily I ordered the tres leches pancakes to appease my craving. The house made cinnamon butter on the pancakes was divine. I didn't need the syrup though it was provided. Service was prompt and friendly. This is a lively, slightly expensive casual dining experience. There's plenty of free parking. read more

Came here on a Tuesday around 630pm and we were the only ones seated in the dining area. I don't know why cuz this place is GOOD!!! Nancy was our server and she had great recommendations. My parents and I came here before our reservation just to have a drink and our initial server Melissa was great and attentive. Once our party arrived and we were sat we waited more than 10-15 minutes for our drink orders to be taken. We then had to ask for chips and salsa which is weird bc that should be the custom at any Mexican restaurant to get that to the table once they're sat but we didn't get them up until our food had arrived an hour after we were first sat down. Was not even packed for us to have waited that long for service or food mind you. The music and drinks were great but overall poor service and the food was mid. My tortillas on my birria tacos were soggy not crispy and super greasy and lacked flavor. Paying that much for a bad experience sucks so I would not come back to this place. read more

I've been to this place a couple of times for dinner and it has been great, however I went for breakfast and the ladies running the morning shift are extremely disorganized, they don't know their right from their left. Placed had just opened, only one group sitting on the regular table side and they wanted to force me to sit in front of the bar, on the high tables. My girlfriend and I, did not want to sit on high tables, we wanted a regular table, but the hostess and waitress kept whispering to each other and finally said "I can sit you there but you'll have to wait for me to serve you" that's unacceptable specially when the place had just opened and it was empty except for one group that had just walked in before we did. Anyway, bad morning experience. They should get more staff, specially if the ones in the opening shift are not well trained. read more

I always have to add all kinds of stuff in order for my shrimp cocktails to turn out edible. But with this one, they made it just the way I liked it. Very flavorful. And they were very very generous with the shrimp. And large shrimp. So I was very impressed by that. Normally I get a bland shrimp cocktail with like six large shrimp from other restaurants, oh no, this place hooked it up. And let me tell you, their micheladas, very flavorful. You had a good ratio of mix and beer. My friend had ribeye tacos, and she said that they were very tasty. She also had a Cadillac on the rocks she was downing them like water so I take it as they were also good. The place looked clean, and the service was prompt. We had the bartender come out and check on us as well as our server, she was very attentive. I don't live in the area but am happy I made the drive. My friend came all the way out from Norwalk to try this place out and she was not disappointed. And for those of you who have electric vehicles, they have Evgo chargers and ChargePoint chargers in the parking lot so that was a nice surprise. I 100% recommend this place. We were excited to try this restaurant as a family for Easter but the excitement quickly diminished throughout our experience. The food was subpar for the prices and service was literally non-existent. I would understand if they were swamped and every table was full, but more than half the restaurant was empty besides their bar. It took them 20 minutes just to get us our bill and we had to go ask the bar for it or else we probably would've waited longer. The cherry on top to the poor experience was that upon paying, they wanted to charge us a card service fee because we were paying with card. It's 2026. What kind of restaurant does that nowadays especially when very few people carry cash? Highly doubtful that we'd ever return especially considering all the recent reviews have been poor. Unfortunately, our second visit was a completely different experience. The manager on duty was extremely rude, as was the bartender. They said they couldn't honor the lunch specials because we weren't dining in, even though the sign outside didn't specify that. The sign simply said "lunch specials available," which is very misleading. I went to this city because I needed to charge my car but won't be coming back! I've been to MANY Michelin Star restaurants and have NEVER been charged $30+ for a burrito. It was tortillas wrapped in a tortilla (chilaquiles in a burrito) with rib eye that had fat. I should have taken a picture cause I only took one bite and asked for a to-go box but respectfully threw it away the moment I left. I understand people may think that I should have eaten it since I spent that much money on a burrito but it wasn't even flavorful and after my first bite was tortilla and fat I couldn't take another bite. I do hope they realize even for the best chef (I'm talking celebrity restaurants) a burrito should not cost $30+ with fat!
