The standout for me was the shawarma itself - the meat was incredibly flavorful and well-seasoned. I could have easily made a meal just out of the delicious shawarma. The tacos were also a highlight. The combination of the tender meat and the restaurant's amazing green and garlic sauces made for an absolutely delicious dish. Even though the restaurant was empty when we arrived, our server, who had limited English proficiency, was still attentive and provided good service. The language barrier did not inhibit our experience at all. The only downside was the sampler platter, which was very fried and heavy. I wouldn't order that particular item again. But it won't stop me from returning to try some of the other menu offerings, as I'm confident they will be just as tasty as the shawarma and tacos. Overall, I had a wonderful meal and I look forward to coming back to explore more of what this restaurant has to offer. The shawarma and tacos alone are worth a visit.

I would highly recommend the mango drink, I don't remember exactly what it was called but it was so refreshing. I also thoroughly enjoyed the taco trio with the steak because it was chocked full of so much steak.

So I should say upfront, I am not sure this is the correct location that I was at or not. It is a…read morechain though, so I am sure differences are extremely slim. I was visiting Orlando and I have a lot of friends and family here. My niece took us here for lunch with high praises of the place. I was excited since I haven't eaten good Dominican outside of the few dishes I've learned how to make over the years. We arrived and immediately began to order. There were a lot of us so I will only review what I ate. I ordered a small sancocho to start. It was ok, but was seriously devoid of seasoning. From the start you could tell they were playing it safe with the flavors. Trying to appease as many tongues as they could. I hadn't had sancocho in a very long time, so I was seriously disappointed. For my main course I ordered the monfongo with pernil. Where the sancocho lacked flavor the monfongo and pernil over reached. It was crazy salty. Like way too salty. I could only get through a few spoonfuls before I called it quits. I then turned to some of my wife's rice and beans and was right back to flavorless. About the only thing that tasted even was the chicharon de pollo. But even that was lack luster. It's always hard to find a good Dominican food restaurant. I will keep searching but till then I guess I will just continue to hone my skills at cooking it at home. The atmosphere itself was good. Sort of a mid-stage afternoon spot. Nice, clean, nothing too trendy or new. Just an average spot. If you have never had Dominican food this may be the spot for you. Something safe so you aren't over whelmed by flavors. If you grew up on it like me, I feel you will be disappointed.

It comes with a choice of meat and enough sides to guarantee you'll have leftovers. The restaurant itself is always clean and has upbeat music and may have you dancing while you wait for your food. The staff is always super nice and they tell you all the options available. It's always delicious and one of my go to. Dig in!

Being part of the parking structure doesn't mean that they validate your parking. If you can find street parking, definitely do that instead. I had the churassco med-well. It came with two sides, I had the tostones and salad. It was alright, but I definitely had better. I ordered it to eat it there and they put all the sauces in to-go containers, which was weird. The sauces were in such tiny containers, you definitely would need more. My friend got the mushroom arepa and a side of the sweet plantains that she really enjoyed. Service was good. The girl taking our order was super nice and polite. It was more like one step up from fast/food and self-served. You order at the counter and they give you a number for your table and they bring out the food to the table and you clean up after yourself.

The ambiance and the warmth of the staff took me back to the Caribbean--it definitely felt like home. Their menu features a Latin-Asian fusion, and I loved every second of it. We started with the Krab Salad. It was incredibly fresh, topped with avocado, and the perfect way to open my appetite for a sushi night. Next were the Pork Fried Gyoza, served with a sticky, glossy sauce that has just the right amount of kick. They were so good, you won't be able to put your chopsticks down. The Escobar Roll combines shrimp tempura and churrasco--the best of both worlds. It's topped with sweet plantains, chimichurri sauce, eel sauce, and spicy mayo. I had my doubts about all those flavors working together, but I have no idea how they perfected that combination--they absolutely did. The Mar y Tierra Roll was recommended by our waiter, and I highly recommend ordering it in tempura. It gives the roll a completely different texture, and it's absolutely amazing. The Pollo Loco Roll is topped with sweet plantains and teriyaki sauce. It's simple, yet packed with flavor. We finished it all off with a crème brûlée. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I'd be enjoying one at a sushi restaurant, but it was the perfect ending to an incredible meal. If you're looking for creative sushi, unique Latin-inspired flavors, outstanding service, and an atmosphere that makes you feel like family, The Escobar Kitchen is definitely worth the visit.
