Beef stew with arroz con gandules
    Trish C.

GOod bang for your buck and delicious to go with it. We have passed by a few times and decided to finally stop in. I regret not doing it sooner. The beef stew with potatoes brought back childhood memories and was very tasty. It could use some additional heat and then it would be perfect.

    Great price with huge portions.

Visited this restaurant around 2 PM during a Saturday afternoon. Nice huge portion of food with very reasonable price. Like all the other Hispanic cafeterias, I was overwhelmed by the number of choices of food on the steamed table. However, their service was very friendly with both English and Spanish. They would answer any question about their food. I even got to learn about the difference between Dominican and Peruvian fried rice. I was very happy that I ordered the Budin de Pan. One of the best bread pudding I ever had. Not overly sweet but very flavorful. I will visit this restaurant again just to try all their other desserts.

If you know you want Hispanic food, but don't know WHAT specifically, THIS is your go-to. It's got many options to order, you won't leave disappointed. Who doesn't HATE when that happens? It's a small-ish, cozy, chill spot. You can tell, taste that the food was made with pure knowledge & care formaking the customer happy. This is a picture of my Carne Encebollado, Arroz con Gandulees, Yuca (Meat with Onion, Rice with Pigeon Peas, Cassava) & Pure Leaf Raspberry tea. Also, you get a LOT of "bang for your buck". If you're not "Starvin' Marvin", you'll have plenty of leftovers. Just reheat it, you have another meal right there. It's a double-whammy.

I really enjoyed this place. I called before coming in and the employees were so nice! When you first walk in you see the menu and there's signs of how much the lunch special is. The food is super traditional Hispanic food. I loved everything that was in my plate. You get a choice of rice, a protein and a side for the lunch plate. They serve a lot! Everything was very clean, and they were pretty fast. will definitely be coming back :)

Wow! This place is amazing. Great customer service, felt like I was going to eat at an uncle's house The food was super authentic. Fast service and great portions for the price. Everything was extremely flavorful. I will definitely be back!

    Cuban sandwich

I have been here a number of times and couldn't tell you all the different dishes I've tried from their buffet style ordering platform. But I will tell you they've all been great! First of all, this place is hopping, so that's always a good sign. You walk in and can ask for a to go meal (that's what I do) and then you pick your rice (which changes everyday and let's you try all sorts of different styles without getting boring), your meat (again, they're all good, so don't spend too much time trying to decide and instead just close your eyes and pick) and then your side. I'm not sure what it is that I get, ground plantains or something that looks like mashed potatoes, but I get it whenever I can because it is sooooooo good!! Make sure to ask for their garlic sauce and they'll give you some in a little condiment container because just a little off that makes this dish beyond addictive. I tried one of the sandwiches for the first time today - the Cuban - and that was possibly one of the best I've had. Very well flavored and not at all dry. Definitely recommend!!

We ordered the UFO sandwich, the veggie sandwich, and finished with a cannoli--and every single item delivered. The sandwiches were phenomenal. The bread is made to order and it shows: thin, chewy, and perfectly structured for a real sandwich (not soggy, not overbearing). Unique round discs that suited the food perfectly. The UFO sandwich was deeply satisfying - delicious meats, and I added green olive crema and swapped out provolone for stracciatella. The veggie sandwich wasn't an afterthought at all--fresh, flavorful, and genuinely filling. Every ingredient tasted delicious and fresh. The cannoli was spot-on: perfect flavor, just the right level of sweetness, and clearly made with quality ingredients. Not overly sugary, not heavy--just right. The location is also a big plus. It's in a newly built shopping center with really nice pond-side seating, which would be a great place to sit, relax, and actually enjoy the meal. On top of all that, the owners were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the prices are very fair for the quality you're getting. This is the kind of place you root for. If you love real sandwiches, fresh ingredients, and food made with pride, don't miss it. We'll absolutely be back.

The Vibe: We came on a Saturday and the parking lot was packed, which we took as a great sign--and it was. You walk through a fun outdoor patio before heading inside to order, and the space is incredibly unique--colorful, eclectic, slightly hipster, with dog photos and quirky decor everywhere. The line to order was pretty long, but we noticed a few open seats at the bar. We asked the bartender if we could order there, and she said yes--pro move. Skip the line, grab a bar seat. Drinks: We tried the house lager, which was solid and refreshing. What We Ordered: * Homemade Queso + Flavor Bomb 3 * "Famous" Pulled Pork Sandwich * "What the Fig?" Sandwich Standout Bite: The queso with Flavor Bomb 3 was incredible. Sweet, savory, and completely addictive. The pineapple in the flavor bomb added the perfect touch of sweetness and made the dish really stand out. Sandwiches: Both sandwiches were excellent. The pork was fresh, tender, and packed with flavor. The classic pulled pork was great, but if you like bold flavors, the "What the Fig?" is the way to go--the fig jam added the perfect sweet-savory balance. Flavor-packed and messy in the best way. Sides: Sandwiches come with your choice of Miss Vickie's chips, house-made slaw, or both for $1 extra. The house-made slaw was a standout for me--fresh, crisp, and the perfect complement to the sandwiches. Overall: Great food, fun atmosphere, and a unique experience from start to finish. We're already planning our next visit--and next time we're bringing our pup since they're dog-friendly and fully embrace it. Pro tip: Head straight to the bar if there's a long line--and don't skip the queso with a flavor bomb.

I discovered this one-of-a-kind fast casual restaurant through Yelp on a recent visit to the Historic Winter Garden area. Because of the healthier food options and great reviews, my wife and I decided to give it a try since it was just a short distance away from the historic downtown. One other plus we discovered early (because of the sign just inside the doorway): No seed oils are used in their salad dressings, only 100% extra virgin olive oil. My wife chose "Build a Bowl" and added chicken, roasted sweet potatoes, roasted broccoli, and (the very tasty) herb & parmesan mushrooms. I ordered "Build Your Own Salad", and chose the local Italian sausage as my protein, with some crisp greens and sautéed onions, and fresh lemon garlic vinaigrette on the side. We thoroughly enjoyed the flavors and healthy options. We definitely would like to return. This restaurant currently is the first and only one. MISC. Before I even got my food, I had a great interaction with Mercedes at the counter. She was genuinely friendly, easy to talk to, and didn't rush the moment, which set a really positive tone right away. I ordered a cheesesteak with everything on it, and when it came out, it was clear they don't cut corners here. The sandwich was fully loaded from one end to the other, with finely chopped steak that was juicy and well seasoned. The cheese was melted throughout instead of just sitting on top, so every bite had that same balanced flavor. Even with all the toppings, nothing felt overwhelming, and the bread held everything together without falling apart. It also came with fries, which were hot and crispy, and I paired everything with a peach Crush. That combination worked really well, especially with how rich the cheesesteak was. Between the quality of the food and the customer service, this is an easy recommendation.
