Had a great experience at Jaztro today while visiting Orlando. The chef was very friendly and helpful as we looked over the food menu cards. I ordered the fried snapper with arroz con gandules and sweet plantain. My husband ordered the pork chops. When I say delicious I absolutely mean that! Our hotel was 30 minutes away and I ate every bit of my meal on the ride. The fish was fried and seasoned to perfection and the rice had a great flavor...and I dont usually eat rice. I also got the passionfruit juice and the coquito bread pudding! They were both divine! My husband said his pork chops were moist and seasoned well and he really enjoyed his meal. Will definitely visit again. The fish meal was $40 so a bit pricey to me but the meal was very tasty and filling so I wont complain. Will pay for a solid meal. read more

That's why it's a small, cozy restaurant where the chef and his wife create each one of the culinary options from scratch, everything fresh and to the order. A place to try. Their rice is savory and never dry nor mushy but the perfect consistency. Their steak is tender and so tasty. Their tostones are large and fried to a golden crisp. When it comes to desserts, he knocks it out of the park! The Coquito bread pudding and the Bananas Foster bread pudding are two of my faves. Upon entering, we were greeted, we asked a lot of questions and not once did we feel like we were bothering the lady at the counter. There was an older couple there who laughed and joke with us as we decided on our to-go order. The atmosphere is fun, to-go, or quick eatery spot. We ordered Mofongo with Chicken, Chicken Dinner (rice, beans, sweet plantains/Maduros), and 3 Coquito Bread puddings. The Mofongo was moist and full of flavor. It's one of those dishes you want to finish as it's not as good the next day. The only drawback was the chicken itself could use a little salt (we're not big salt eaters but it was lacking). The chicken tastes great with the other sides. Last but certainly not least, the bread pudding. The best Coquito Bread pudding EVER!!
