I come here every once in a while and the food is always good and of good quality, but they are more expensive than other restaurants. The portions are just about perfect for me but maybe not for some people. As you would expect for an establishment located in a small town named "Pigeon", the menu is rather basic. One thing that doesn't sit well with me is that you have to actually request chips and salsa to start, whereas every other Mexican themed restaurant usually brings them out as something that is just expected, complimentary. The service has always been good when I have visited. Overall I would recommend stopping in if you are stuck in the Thumb area and really want Mexican style food.

Great food and service! I had the steak taco and the meat is delicious! Cute patio and great music! The owner came to introduce himself. Great guy!

I guess I expected "not-so" traditional Mexican food from the get-go. They don't serve the free chips and salsa like other places you have to pay $5 for them. The salsa is a fire roasted tomato salsa which is just "ok" and the chips are warm but, they taste exactly like a tortilla at any store. I prefer mine in the traditional style, thin and crispy! I ordered a sampler platter where the chicken quesadilla was seasoned with store bought fajita seasoning which would be acceptable I guess if the chicken hadn't been drowned in it. The tacos tasted exactly like a Taco Bell soft taco. The little burger was a regular burger. It was supposed to have some special sauce on it but I'm sure it was just salsa and there wasn't much on it. The best part was the pepper jack ravioli's! My husband said the beef tacos he had were better than the chicken (made with the same chicken as the quesadilla). The rice and beans were really dry as you should be able to tell from the picture. The staff was friendly and the decor was somewhat scattered in its theme. I believe it's overpriced for the quality!

Very good food, tastes like its homemade when you order. I always love going here and the people working are very nice as well.

My wife and I ordered burritos. They were pretty good, but served a little on the cold side. The server was great. Worth another visit.

I was trying to find a nice local place for dinner here in Saginaw, and really struggled to do so…read more It seems like this place has mostly chain restaurants and very few independent diners. After doing some scouring, I found Coco Loco and decided to give it a whirl. Pulling up, the place looks a bit tired from the outside. I was skeptical about going in, but I decided to give it a go ahead anyway since I was already here, didn't want Texas Roadhouse down the street, not looking for fast food and felt like Mexican. Walking in the place wasn't busy but there was enough diners here that I was like okay it can't be that bad. I reviewed the menu and they do have tons of good options but tend to be on the pricier side of things. I ended up getting the Petito dinner which sounded right up my alley. It was 3 tacos that were deep fried, rice, beans and extra toppings. I guess you have a few choices of what to get in the tacos, and I went with shredded beef because its my favorite. When the food came out, I was extremely impressed with the portion size as it was absolutely massive! I couldn't even finish it because it was just so much food. The refried beans were awesome and the rice was pretty good to. I wish I would have taken a photo but I was so hungry that I didn't even think about it. The interior here is super colorful and my server was pretty good at her job. I did have to ask for extra napkins, but I always do so that's no big deal. I did ask for a bit of extra sour cream and they charged me for it?! at this point I was already $20 in the hole, so what's an extra dollar or whatever the charge was. Not the cheapest dinner or the fanciest place, but decent food and better than some of the places within the vicinity (mostly being chain restaurants.) I wish they would beautify the outside a bit and take care of the exterior of the building as it was a bit sad looking from the street. Overall a good solid meal. Would return in the future.
