They are Always amazing! Amazing staff and amazing food! And always fast!!!!! Love this place!

The service is exceptional- super funny and very energetic server that's been there for years and callls everyone "amigo". The ambiance is exactly what you'd expect for an Americanized Mexican restaurant. The food is plentiful and good. However, most of their offerings are Americanized Mexican like hard shell ground beef tacos covered in processed shredded white cheese and lettuce. They are great for what they are, but authentic Mexican it is not. There are copious amounts of the processed white Mexican cheese on everything so if that's your jam, then this is your place. I got the lunch special (offered also on Sundays despite what the menu says) which included a chile relleno, one of the aforementioned tacos, beans, and a guacamole salad. The beans were pretty on point I will admit. The chile relleno was very good despite being both stuffed and coated with the processed white cheese. The chile was also stuffed with finely ground beef. Again, it was good, but not authentic. The prices, however, are beyond reasonable for the large amounts you get. I still can't believe that special was only $7.99. read more

We came in on a Friday night for dinner where the restaurant was packed but we only waited about 10 minutes before a table opened up. The food was good and service was very fast. There are so many menu items to choose from and so much area in the restaurant for groups to sit and enjoy. This is the place to go in Decatur! read more

Amazing cheese sauce My dad and mom have been here in forever and even the staff knows his story. The staff is so kind. Get the enchilada suiza!! So good! I asked for the cheese sauce to be added to the top as well as the usual green sauce. It was delicious.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant of all time. I am a regular here and the food is amazing. I personally like the arros con Pollo And the cheese dip. I would personally say that the service is good. But that might just be because I'm a regular lol. The inside looks amazing as it tastes. 100/10 read more

Best Mexican restaurant in Decatur! The staff is friendly and fast, they remember my family every time and even ask why we didn't eat with my mother-in-law when she comes in earlier than us. They are always busy but get you seated so fast. I like their fajitas, chimichangas, quesadillas, and pretty much anything they make. The queso and guacamole are to die for. I was trying to setup an event for 25 people and wanted catering done by El Rodeo. I had been in twice before but the manager wasn't not in. I left my information and needs but he didn't call me. I had also called twice. yesterday I was told to come in between 11-1. I arrived at 11am before any customers had come in. The employee told the manager what I needed. the manager walks toward me and walks out the door. while walking past me he says rudely "that I need to come back later. he leaves in his truck. the poor employees apolgized but it's not their fault. he was so rude. if he treats customers like this I can't imagine how he treats his employees. I give this a 3.5/5. Pretty standard and exactly what you would expect from a Midwestern Mexican restaurant. We ordered takeout (covid): enchiladas rancheras, chicken burrito, carne asada tacos, burrito loco, and the nachos supreme. Came with rice, beans, chips, two different salsas (one green mild and one red mild). Enchiladas had corn tortillas while burritos and tacos had flour tortillas. Enchiladas hit the spot and were very tasty. Chicken burrito was a little dry and had too much cheese for our taste. The burrito loco was good with a generous amount of meat. Tacos were okay. Nachos were delicious but a little too soggy since we got takeout (we'll see if they can package the chips separately next time). Rice and beans were well seasoned and delicious. read more

First time here and the food is great but the Margarita was even better!!! Service was fast too! I had the Al Pastor Tacos the were good, not the best Al Pastor I've had but still good. I would gone with 4.5 stars if Yelp allowed it so I had to go with 4 because I just didn't feel I could go all the way to 5 stars The ambiance is ok, again good but not great, t but this is a minor thing & did I mention the Margarita was great!!! The margarita definitely gets a 5 stars I also feel I need to mention the complimentary salsa is Very Good, just enough flavor and spice without being over powering (some Mexican restaurants is bland to too garlicky and I feel this is just right (like baby bear )! I ordered 2 chiles rellenos, expecting the typical dish of poblanos filled with a little cheese, dipped in egg whites, and fried. Instead I got little pieces of bell pepper smothered in bland ground beef; the whole plate was drowned in cheese sauce. I had to ask for tortillas and hot sauce, which tasted awful. My friend's "chalupa" was also smothered in the same cheese sauce and she reported it was soggy instead of crisp. The side of guacamole was mashed avocado without anything added. However, the place was packed, with Anglo people, so I guess their regular clientele appreciates the food. I thought it was an insult to Mexicans everywhere. read more

Very good Mexican food in the Midwest. I am from LA so it is hard to find comparable Mexican food in Illinois. These guys did a great job. Margaritas were good, so was the food. I did a shrimp burrito that was delicious. I would give higher marks but did not like the salsa. Otherwise worth a trip for dinner. Check them out! read more

Not wonderful! Had a dirty table when they sat me down. 25 sticky cup rings on the table means it's dirty. The food is not good. The salsa tasted fake and sweet. Not authentic at all. Same with the food. Rice taste dirty. Just everything about the meal tasted and looked disgusting. Nothing authentic. Too much fake crap used when they cook. Will not go back. Have eaten here several times and the food is always good and the Dos Equis is cold. Decided to stretch out of my usual comfort zone and order something new. Tried the Chile Colorado beef tips simmered in red sauce. It arrived hot and the rich dark red sauce looked amazing , couldn't wait for the first bite. Unfortunately looks can be deceiving. It was bland, completely inert like they has forgotten some key spices. No exaggeration, the rice had more zip than the meat and red sauce. Underwhelmed and had buyers remorse as I eyeballed my daughters steak tacos. Will be back for more just not the Chile Colorado. Good service and friendly staff. read more

Last time I will eat here. You pay for a processing fee to use your card. Of course prices high like every where else. Had fajitas for two. Water Ice tea. Small cheese dip and one small margarita. Too spicy!!! & I think expensive... Maybe its me, but I think their food is way too spicy & hot and not great.... I got the burritos deluxe with chicken & beef with sour cream, lettuce, and tomato and couldnt finish it or eat it as it was wayyy too spicy and not good so I think this place is overrated and spicy and I dont think Decatur has good mexican places. I ate the veggie fajtias before and they were okay, but I will not eat at this place again its just not good just pricey and spicy and not good as they were better in the past, but not now...... I no longer have ANY respect I called to see if they could accommodate A get together of approx. 20 people for my wife's birthday spoke to the owner no I did not assume I asked for the owner, his response ? Hung up on me not once but twice !! upset did not touch it , I literally did NOTHING he did not so much as give me and opportunity to ask the question. We love this place, in fact we drive 45 minutes to eat here. Service is great even though they're always packed. My husband and son love the Burrito Loco, the sauce is amazing. I prefer the chicken fajitas. Their salsa is the best, a little different than what you usually find, almost a little smokey. My daughter orders off the kids menu, she really likes the tacos. 5 Stars for the food but -5 stars to the staff. The food was awesome and plentiful but the one thing that made my meal uncomfortable was the wait staff. They were cold, unfriendly and when the food came out it was dropped on the table as if i was had a body order or I was going to bite them. I may be a truck driver but I have manners and would not go a restaurant if I was not clean and I do not bite either. If I am in the area again I will think twice before eating there again and that is bad because I really liked the food. read more
