Can't follow directions. I ordered a fish taco with no sour cream and no cheese. The cashier repeated to me "No dairy." I confirmed then heard her tell the cook in spanish "No sour cream, no cheese". I wait 15 minutes, and the burrito comes out with sour cream and cheese........what is the problem? The other reviews are not lying. The food here is so good! I didn't know what authentic tacos truly tasted like until I came here. The service is kind and the environment makes me feel like I'm in Mexico. It's a cozy cute restaurant. They make the tortillas from scratch and the food tastes fresh. In the picture: I got one of each of the tacos with the corn tortilla. I got it to go. I would suggest eating them right away though I could see these had the potential if too left too long they could leak through. I wanted to try this place for a while. I ordered through DoorDash. The handmade tortilla is great, but that's where the complements end. The Guac was literally disgusting. The salsa was thick and weird. The carne asada looked and tasted like it had been cooked in a microwave--that, or it was just super old meat. The chicken was even worse. Dry beyond belief. They need to 1) hire more staff - at one point they had just 2 people working for both front and back of house 2) prep more items - they made the agua frescas from scratch, which is delicious but usually to be able to promptly serve, you'd have a few that you made in big batch that morning rather than custom squeezing fruit each time read more

I've been a customer of El Sabor for a while, and I have enjoyed so many of their bean, cheese, and chorizo pupusas! They're hot, delicious, and affordable. Plus, they always come out quickly. Today, I veered off my usual path and got a barbacoa burrito that I naturally described as "incredibly memorable." The burrito is saucy, cheesy, and filled with meat. There's a wonderful smoky flavor that is complemented perfectly by both hot sauces. And of course, it's huge! I am so thankful to live near this place! read more

However, the service was not great--the food was 45 minutes late (they had an issue with the parking enforcement not letting them park, but it shouldn't have caused a 45 min delay), they forgot utensils, and couldn't figure out how to use the heating contraptions. I had to call to find out where the food was-there was little communication and afterwards nothing was done to try rectify the situation. I would stick to ordering takeout or dining in and choose elsewhere if need catering! read more

However, on 2 occasions my order was not correct, kitchen did not pay attention to my request for burrito with no pico/sour cream and i got both. Got barbacoa, chicken, and al pastor tacos. The barbacoa was crispy and bursting with flavor and the chicken was suuuuper juicy but well charred. The al pastor wasn't bad, but chicken and Barbacoa outshined it By a mile. Also, maybe I just haven't had good tortillas in a while, but these corn tortillas were amazing. It's alright, but I likely won't be ordering from here again. I ordered shrimp fajitas and fish tacos. The first tacos were pretty good, and had a good protein-to-toppings ratio. The fajitas were problematic however- the black beans were good,, but the rice was undercooked, the shrimp and veggies lacked flavor, and the tortillas were bland and tough. This place is shitty. They served me cold food. My taco shells were hard and insides of the tacos were completely dried out. Then they served me hot plantains. The sily ass supervisor and her goofy ass employees had the nerve to cop attitudes because I told them about it and the supervisor nickled and dimed me by refunding me for the meal except the plantains which was no point in eating without the remaining of the meal. I called the police for advice on how to express this stupidity to the courts and the BBB. Of course the office was another useless piece of shit and I told the BBB. I really hate leaving negative reviews, but I feel like they've left me no choice. I picked up two burritos and a quesadilla today. When I got home about 5 minutes later, not only was everything ice cold, but there was a long black hair in my burrito. I called the restaurant to request a refund for the one burrito, and I was directed to text a picture to the manager. I did, and two hours have passed with no response. I tried calling the restaurant again and again but they sent me straight to voicemail everytime. I tried calling and triple texting the manager with no response. Guess they're ignoring me now. I've never put in so much effort over a $12 burrito. I'm frustrated because I really wanted to like this place. Forget the refund, I just won't come back. Great burritos and bowls. I had a bowl with spinach and mushrooms and the veggies were fresh and tasty. My family gave a thumbs up to the lengua and steak burritos and the pupusas, made fresh to order.
