Very very skinny torta with mostly refried brand
    Carla R.

We went and tried it tonight . First let me say the people working in there are very very nice . It's very clean in there . There's a nice variety and selection of dishes on the menu . Those are the three stats I give . I took two stars away because the food quality and value for the price just isn't there . It's over priced for what you get, and the torta de carne asada was really more of a refried bean sandwich because that was all you could taste . Very little meat and what was there was very fatty. The second star I removed was overall taste and seasoning it wasn't there . I'm really sad because I really am tired of looking for authentic Mexican food from my country . The hunt continues .

I went to this place for the first time and was disappointed. After I ordered my meal, they served the chips and salsa. The chips were stale and the salsa was not fresh and tasted like refrigerator. It seemed like it had been sitting in an open container in the fridge. The asada tacos were not bad. Tortillas were handmade and served a decent portion of meat. The flautas were not flautas... They shaped some masa in a tubular shape and filled with flavorless chicken. The crumbled cheese on top had a funny smell, was not good at all. Definitely not worth the $20 I paid for it. I will not be coming back to this place

Off the beaten path in Chehalis is a small restaurant that sits in a place that you could pass by a 100 times and never see this little place. And I mean little, the seating capacity is around 20 people. But they can put out some great food with authentic flavors that reminds me of the small stands in Mexico. The salsa that is brought to your table is a bit different and almost blended rather than chopped but the flavors are outstanding. The fish tacos were done perfectly and had a little char flavor and fresh seasoning. The guacamole tacos were another winning choice. Fresh made guacamole served with a meat of your choice on a soft fluffy corn tortilla. The pricing is about average or maybe a little less than your average restaurant. The atmosphere is a bit sparse but quite efficient. The only downside was the service was a bit slow and that might have been because the two people running the restaurant seem to be cooking and serving. It might have been because it was a holiday weekend and maybe they were short staffed but we will be back again on out next visit.

Authentic Mexican food served from a hole in the wall joint you probably already passed by dozens of times. If you're into authentic style, cooked from scratch Mexican food wrapped in a homemade tortilla - THIS IS THE ONE! They are influenced by cuisine from the Mexican state of Oaxaca, and they specialize in fresh seafood and taqueria dishes. Ordered a steak burrito with only meat and salsa inside, they delivered. The chips and salsa were solid and their two salsas were tasty. Best authentic Mexican restaurant in Lewis county in my opinion.

Every time we passed this place we saw nobody in there and thought this place must not be that good. Then my daughter and I had a mother/daughter weekend and she wanted Mexican food. Being from California where it's on every corner we have had a hard time finding good Mexican food. We Yelped this place and it had good reviews so we tried it. YUM!!!! Chips and Salsa great! Salsa is spicy if you can't handle heat. I asked for a side of guacamole for my daughter because she couldn't handle it. My daughter got the Menudo she loved it. Said it was almost as good as my dads was . I got the nachos fries with carne asada, very good! Next time I am going to get the flautas. We did have to ask for refills of things, but when we got there there was only 1 family. We arrived and like 3 to 4 other families came in and got very busy. The food took a bit, but it was VERY fresh like it was cooked from scratch so I can see why. Overall we enjoyed it VERY much. Our server did check on us often after we got our food. We paid and my daughter asked me if we could leave a tip. We definitely want to take my boyfriend back to have him try it. He LOVES his Mexican food. Hence one of the reasons why he's with me LOL. Highly recommended!

The food was ok. Nothing too spectacular and it wasn't bad either. I know I could get the same kind of food at a taco truck for a few dollars cheaper but then I would have a warm place to sit. This place isn't somewhere I'd rave about and I probably won't be back, not because the food was terrible, but because there a new quite a few Mexican places with great food at a cheaper price.

The best, authentic Mexican food!! My boyfriend and I absolutely love this place. The food is so fresh and all homemade. The homemade tortillas cannot be beat. If you love authentic Mexican food, this will be your new favorite place. I especially love the enchiladas Rojas! The tacos are also great!

First time here. Hostess was friendly and helpful and the food was great. 3 carnitas tacos. Mmm. Something special about the beans and rice, too!

Because we were driving through on our road trip, we decided to make a stop here for a late lunch this last Tuesday afternoon, around 2:15 pm. After we parked, we walked inside and headed towards the salad bar/ hot bar food area. After looking around (there is also a counter that you can order made to order sandwiches and burritos), I ended up deciding to purchase the following: Peanut Chicken Sesame Noodle Salad, $8.99- This was quite a massive portion so I only ended up eating about 1/3 of it and then had the rest over the next few days (I ended up mixing it with some chopped cucumbers and tomatoes that I had to make a large salad). I loved the peanut sesame dressing and noodles in this salad but wished there was more chicken. Mayak Egg Noodle Bowl, $8.99- My husband picked this salad for himself but I didn't have any. He thought it was good and appreciated something fresh, as his bowl had shredded cabbage, like my salad, and cucumbers and shredded carrots. Pumpkin Pie, $6.99- My husband saw this small pumpkin pie and decided to get it because he is such a big fan of it. I actually don't like pumpkin as much as when I was much younger. But I did like this pie and thought the flavors were well balanced, not too overly sweet. ---------------------------------------- (Total= $24.97) I really appreciated that the little dining area (there is also an outdoor dining area as well but because it had rained previously, we opted to sit inside) had plastic bowls and plates available for you to put your food in. This was helpful for me to be able to thoroughly mix my noodle salad since the dressing was mostly on the bottom. Then after I mixed it, I just put it back in the plastic container and only left about 1/3 of the salad in my bowl to eat. If I lived in this area, I would definitely be a regularly of this market (specifically for the prepared food area).

They have a decent sized menu but not too overwhelming and if you don't like the options offered then you can do a create your own which is sweet! My boyfriend got their garden wrap with a garlic and herb tortilla while I got their Washington Apple wrap with a garlic and herb tortilla. There was an order ahead of us but the employees got the orders made in a good amount of time and presentation was a nice touch too. The wraps had a great ratio of all the listed ingredients and you can yaste everything in each bite. The ingredients tasted and looked fresh! The interior is very cozy with plenty of seating that accommodates solo, couples or small groups. They have great lighting in there, both natural and inside. They had some old school RnB playing which was nostalgic for me as I heard a lot of these as a pre-teen. Definitely a fantastic spot, especially if you are trying to eat or be more healthy conscious but still have a flavorful meal!

The restaurant is clean and orderly, with music playing in the background. Today, I had the build your own salad. I can say that they have some of the freshest ingredients to build a salad and the options are numerous in your choices to build a salad. I decided to add tuna to my salad. I thought this would be a great touch to such a fresh salad. The Caesar dressing was good and went well with the salad. The most disturbing part of this salad was the tuna. As it turns out, the tuna is canned with a strong fishy smell and flavor. I had assumed that the tuna with be cubed or sliced. This is a great place for vegans and vegetarians as well. Now, the fishy taste of the tuna was so string that I immediately brushed my teeth to get the taste out of my mouth. Please keep in mind that these salads start at $12-15 dollars plus the add-ons you like. Since I love salads, I had many extras and the salad was $26. My only regret was that I could not give back the tuna. I will try this place again, but for god sake change the tuna or skip it all together.

Foods tried: Garlic naan - Hot and fresh, slightly crispy with a nice savory flavor. Samosa appetizers - Comes with two, but they are pretty large and very filling. Chicken tikka masala - Served in a deceptively large portion and very savory. Lamb biryani - Kind of like their version of fried rice, served with a mild yogurt sauce on the side.
