Had a great experience here to get glasses for some slight near-sightedness that developed after having Lasik over 15 yrs ago. Very friendly staff and Dr. Lara was very nice and knowledgable. I took my child to visit this office last year and we received terribly inaccurate advice. The diagnosis and recommendations seemed off so I took my child to get a second option. We visited a local pediatric ophthalmologist who was horrified by the recommendation and assured me that the office was just trying to make money. I highly discourage using this office for anything other than a simple prescription. read more

I love everything about this office! The staff is warm and welcoming, and Dr. Priest is very kind and meticulous - on top of everything. I wasn't aware that Tamoxifen can sometimes affect the macula; she referred me to a retinal specialist to make sure we monitor that. When I needed a tweak in my prescription, her staff got me in right away, and Dr. Priest gave me another eye exam. Optician, Marisol, has the place looking festive for every holiday. I have gone to get prescriptions my whole life and it has always been very transactional. This is the first time in my 25 years of wearing contacts/glasses that I feel like I am going to an actual "Doctor" who cares about my eye health. The Optometrist spends a solid hour doing everything from imaging, the actual prescription test, light checks, eye checks, dilation checks. I have been sent to my primary care physician for glaucoma check. I mean if there is one thing I really don't want to lose, it is my vision. I really recommend this place and think you everyone should do everything they can to keep places like this going. read more

I've been a client of El Segundo Optometry for well over 25 years and I've always received excellent care. My current optometrist is Lara Priest - she's excellent, very knowledgable, listens well, is thorough and is very cheerful. The staff is also excellent and very helpful - this last visit I wanted to reorder a pair of glasses that Nicole had helped me pick out the last time I ordered glasses. As the staff was checking with the manufacturer, Nicole refurbished the old glasses by straightening out the frame and putting on new pads at no charge. Unfortunately, the manufacturer doesn't produce those glasses any more, but by the time I got home, Patsy had sent an email as to where I could order those glasses. Also, they have added a service to image your retina for $35, which I felt was well worth it. Thank you for such a great service. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I am BEYOND disappointed in this place. I am so upset. I bought kate spade glasses which were so stunning, I turned sunglasses into prescription glasses. I was convinced to get EYEZEN in my prescription for laptop use, with blue light. Not once did they warn me before that there would be etching involved with the lens. which they didn't tell me until AFTER I was having an issue with them. My eyes picked up on the etching in the lenses and it made it look dirty. I am not getting a refund, and Nicole on the phone was like "It was 40$." If I can't see through them and I don't get a refund, make it make sense. I am NEVER coming back to this place after they redo my lenses. Who does that? Like I paid for something I could not even comfortably see through. Such Bullshit. read more
