After they call your order, you can use one of the chairs and tables they've thoughtfully plaid inside the grocery store/market to enjoy your dinner. I got the 3 rolled beef tacos and it came with rice, beans, cucumbers, salsa sauce, and all the toppings (lettuce, sour cream, guac, green salsa). Everything was delicious and the service was quick and friendly! Light skin lady with an attitude in kitchen gets real mad when you ask for extra salsa. She even says "you need to pay extra" and i say sure and she still gets mad. I don't understand her reasoning. Im perfectly fine with paying extra for the salsa, hold the attitude. read more

Visited 3/11/2019 Very large place for a mini mart. There is a great 24/7 Taco Joint inside also. Great food and reasonably priced. Very much worth a stop. Gas is a little high but the food is very reasonable. read more

Your best bet of food around town at that's open at 9:30pm since there's not much around. They literally have everything, sandwiches, burgers, Mexican food, etc. This place is located in the convenient store of the gas station. The store even has a mini grocery section of veggies and meat! Literally anything you would need they have. We ordered 4 tacos - 2 cabeza, 1 asada, and 1 pastor. The cabeza and asada were delicious. The cabeza was very soft which was perfect. It could be a little saltier though but still overall delicious. The pastor meat was a bit hard though, didn't feel fresh. Greetings. I give the selection of foods and items in the store five stars but I offer the service at the register two stars. Many of the clerks are not English speakers and have overcharged me many times for the purchases that I made. I asked for two lottery tickets on the same ticket but was given two separate tickets instead. When asked why, I was told that she did not know how to offer the lottery tickets that I asked for! It also has a butcher in the back and a small kitchen in the front. I picked up an al pastor burrito to-go. Here's what liked... * The burrito was pretty flavorful. I think it's better than average but not the best I've tasted. Perhaps if I told them to hold back on the beans it would have tasted better. I'm thinking that al pastor tastes better in a taco form over a burrito form for me. * I like the one stop shop. I'll give them an extra star for being the ONLY decent place to eat in town. Service was non-existent for me, bordering on bigotry or racism? Entered the market, went to the counter, cook asked, I said I'd like to place an order. She replied. I'll be right with you, and turned back to continue to cook. A lady brought out a to-go order, to the person standing at the counter next to me; she walked back into the kitchen. A Mexican gentleman walks in, walks up to the counter, where I was standing; the couterperson takes his order. When the gentleman walks away to wait for his food, counterperson looks at me; are you next? I say yes, she walks away, my order still not taken. I left. Visit this store 8 times a year, groceries not take out; first time to try take-out. There was definitely passive-aggressive hostility going on during this encounter. Me: an old white male, with a long grey beard. Been coming to the Salton Sea and Westmorland area for 63yrs, own a home in the valley. Circle K, for beer and ice. Family Dollar for groceries: I'll bring my own steaks and asada: lot cheaper. Until those other places start showing outright bias, I'll be shopping there. It was mostly beans with little chunks of meat-like substance. My impression was slippery and lacking. It lacked flavor, lettuce, meat. This is my favorite Pit Stop on my way to Los Algodones Mexico and on the way back. It just keeps getting better and better. It's very casual but nice. And has clean restrooms which is why I stopped here the first time. Each time I've come by they've made some new improvement to the store. Making it more convenient or adding something new and tasty to their already large menu. The grill serves mostly Mexican food with some American items. Everything I've tried from the menu so far has been good and ready fast. There are a few small tables so you can eat in or take out. They also sell really nice looking fresh local produce. Staff are all friendly and helpful Besides the fully loaded Mini mart market it's a Chevron gas station with a big enough parking lot for RV parking It's a cheerful little Oasis in the desert. Kitchen is open till 8pm. Be sure to save room for dessert. There's a date place right across the street that you have to go into and look around. Came here 5 years ago to work and found this place. In 2020 they have some how found a way to improve. It's absolutely amazing. I would like to say this was a great find, but I think it would be better said that I'm a slow learner hahaha I didn't realize what an incredible meat department they have and what incredible deals you can get. I actually Managed a posada (Traditional Christmas Food event for the hungry people ) this past December of 2019 for the homeless Bought all the food and ingredients here, with my donater (great person) money through Walmart, here. Sunday afternoon we passed through Westmorland, It was my first time coming to this place and also will be the last. It was terrible service. I wanted to ordered food and I walk to the counter while waiting patiently, while one of the workers was taking the order of another customer she finish taking their order and walked back to the kitchen area ( without taking my order). I notice another customer walk into the store and he goes to the counter and she asked him "what can I get you?" even though I was there first. So I asked where I can place my order another lady cook says I'll be right with you and took her time to come take my order. When she decides to take my order she had an attitude.
