RACISTS!!!!! I went in there and waited in line at the tamale and hot food area and when it was my turn the lady said the person behind me "I saw him waiting longer" then did it again! Due to the pandemic we're facing, I would appreciate if a supervisor can speak to their Cashier Anaí. She was complaining about being at work and as a person that works for a hospital, do you think it's fair for us after a 12-16hr shift to be hearing her complain in front of customers? She was very vocal about not wanting to be at work. If your employee doesn't want to work and wants to be part of the % of people that have lost their jobs then let her go and hire someone new. We are risking our lives to make sure all of you are in good hands. We're putting ourselves at higher risks please be considerate and think if you're going to make comments like her just don't even clock in. read more

This place is terrible in prices and horrible in quality. I have a lot of pictures but this Yelp keeps deleting them. Lots of fruits and veggies are rotting and they have a employee working on the floor and just hides it..wow..some she doesn't..just makes it look nice..oh my goodness.. lots of damaged cans..everything is over priced. Meats are at a ok price TODAY..not always. Freezer stuff is above prices compare to other stores. Seafood overpriced. French breads are hard and stale. They do have some good sales like these poweraids..you get 2 for $1..wait! Must buy 15! Oh my! The deli on the side..well..its not a deli..its like a little restaurant part is not bad..tried a couple things today and must say it was good. Rice compare to almost all restaurants I've been to tasted FRESH! The Aguas Frescas are great..not 100% natural but great..pricy Yes! Might as well go to a restaurant But this rice impressed me.. Horrible!!!! This was my first time going to this particular location. When I walked in I loved it because it wasn't crowded and it seemed like there was more room to walk than at other locations. Waited for 1hr just to get meet, they don't want to much people in crowds. Well you should have more staff not 1 person at the meet department for all the crowd. It's just ridiculous that you call the store and go look for the manager or who ever is in charged who was Antonia. And she was no were you ask the staff they said no she's hiding in her office, they know of all the complaints but the choose to hide. read more

Really clean and big compared to other el super I've been to. I love the agua frescas in the entrance! Been there twice now and both times even though they had closed that area to buy aguas they were happy to served me a cup with no problem. I was able to shop with my drink in my hand which made the experience so much more enjoyable. The meat department has the best prices and cuts in town. Can't go wrong with great prices and good people. So glad we have El Super instead of Ralph's now read more

While clean and spacious, El Super does not carry everything. They don't have cranberry sauce or meatballs, making me have to plan something else for dinner. It's also pricey. It's convenient to where I live but I'd much rather go to Walmart. read more

I decided to update my review of this market the meats are old, most of the time the vegetables are so soft and going bad. Today I found some stuff on clearance juice and toilet paper. When I went to the cash register they called the I'm guessing supervisor for her card. I had divided my purchase. She asked me if I wanted to pay together and I said no. She rang the first portion then left. Then we had to wait for her again, I told her why did she leave knowing that the purchase was not done and still needed her card, she replied to me" porque no eres la única", ( because you are not the only one) i relied que dijo?(what did u say?)She once again said because you are not the only one( in Spanish) then left. I was so upset. I know I'm mot the only one but when assisting a customer don't leave in the middle of the transaction. Horrible customer service. The cashier apologized. read more

I hate this place, hate is passionate word so from that you can understand how I feel. I keep trying to make it work but I honestly don't like the quality, we bought meat from there and it tasted rancid that I'm scared to ever purchase any type of meat again. I prefer to drive through so much traffic and get to either northgate or Ralph's in Downey, yes I will rather travel then go down the street to this place. I'm so mad we have downgraded to this type of store, this is not east LA we a new generation that prefers better quality then price, this was a terrible idea and Pico Rivera should have put there foot in this one. I really wanted to give this store 5 stars but they just closed the door 3mins before 10pm i just need to get one item which I'm sure wasn't going to take long considering it's closing time but the door was closed 3mins before the time now i have to take a longer drive to food 4 less. This market is amazing! Very good fruit I cannot get enough of! I don't live far from here and it is a dream come true. The Mexican food is so good! I tried their platos de chile relleno, and it was not bad. Their sauces are very good, the beans and the rice, too. I am definitely going back! Viva America! read more

Extremely disappointed! I tried to remain hopeful, but after giving the store a thorough walk through I left feeling like our community deserves better than this!!! Especially after having Ralph's, this is a huge down grade. After only being open for a couple of weeks the store already appears unkept and dirty. The floor of the fruit and veggie section is dirty and zero organic produce is offered. As a matter of fact, the store does not offer any type of organic option of any kind in any department of he store. I still need to go to Ralph's in order to have a healthy food option for my family. El Super doesn't even sell Hebrew National hot dogs or any sandwich meet selection that doesn't have artificial ingredients. I also tried the prepared food and ended up throwing it away. I have tried prepared food from the kitchen at Vallarta and North Gate and both are much better in comparison. I am so sad that after having such an exceptional store in our area this is what we are now being presented with. read more

El Super offers a lot of what hispanic customers are looking for, low prices, but it also gives us the worse possible quality in produce and all perishable items. If you want to buy pre packaged goods at a low price then it's great or if you want to buy only what you need then it's ok. There are liquor stores with better produce than this. The cashiers and people working there are also a bit unprofessional. They get a 3 star rating. Why is it our own people take advantage of us. read more

I usually don't shop here but was driving by after work and decided to stop by. The fruit and veggies were fresh, prices on groceries were good, the ranchera carne asada and chicken were super flavorful and tender, the only knock I give it is due to only having 2 cashiers and the lines taking longer than necessary. read more

I'm not really happy with the change from Ralph's to El Super. I mainly go to el super for the Mexican/Central America cheeses and creams and bolillos. A lot of the produce is old or wilted down. Most of the things they sell are very basic. Like for example, I wanted to buy canned crushed tomatoes and they only sell tomato sauce and whole tomatoes and that's it. They don't even have diced tomatoes. The same for canned beans. Only pinto or black no other kind. They have basic selection of chips no baked or kettle chips. I feel that this store was put here because the neighborhoods are predominantly Latinos. How stereotypical to put a store for that reason. The cashiers are courteous. But that's about it. read more

If I could give it a lower rating I would. But today I bought some chicken and as soon as I got home to make food I opened the bag and it smelled like I had left it in my car for a whole week. When I went back to el super I asked the cashier for the manager she said that she would help me when I talked to her politely. I told her to call the manager like four more times she ignored me turned around and continue to check customers out. The worst part was going back because the picketers are there and as soon as they seen me with the bag they started shouting that I was another customer with bad meet I can feel everyone staring at me like if I did something wrong.
