Store is clean and neat. Service was quick. Fruit was fresh and abundant. Went for Fanta orange soda six pack bottles on sale. Only had one. Must buy three to get price. Wanted 12. Checkout was quick. They are not very busy. Of all the markets I have gone to this week. They are the slowest by far. I like that they have stack out tables up front. I swung by this morning for a few things. There was only two lanes open so I got in the shortest one. There was a man wanting to buy a lot of chips and was using coupons. The cashier was telling him he can only buy so many, when another guy walks in saying he got charged for an item he didn't buy. She immediately ignored the customer she was helping to help the guy that came in. All the while the live was getting longer. I politely asked her to help one customer at a time as I was already in line when the 2nd man came in. She got angry. So angry that she told me to move to another line because "she was not going to put up with this all day". Then she walks away. Finally another lady comes over that has no clue as to what's going on. So today I walk into the store for some cash back. When I get up to the line I see the liquor cabinet and seen that the (big/ medium sized) bottle of Patron silver was on sale for $22.99. In my mind, I am thinking that's a good deal! Right away, I want the bottle too. So when I get to speak to the cashier (Amber) I ask her if she could also get the $22.99 bottle of Patron and even with her to POINT out which one I wanted [Right where the price tag said $22.99] I even went to tell her it was such a good deal, and glad I came here. Lol She was silent. Then as we both walk back up to the register and as I'm about to pay, I see the bottle decreased in size TREMENDOUSLY. I'm like hey wait a minute. Why is the bottle small?? Amber goes to tell me... Oh the bottle you're asking for is this small sized one. I'm like oh okay, well It would be nice to have let me know that the bottle was MISPLACED in error when I went with you to the liquor cabinet. I seen tht she grabbed the bottle tht was there in the first place. The big/ medium bottle. She (Amber) must have picked it up moved it back to the "right spot" and grabbed the bottle that was supposed to be in front of the $22.99 label. Furthermore, she goes to basically let me know that she cannot give me the bottle that I originally seen was placed in the $22.99 spot. I said okay, paid for the small bottle and went to my car. I then decided to call the store manager, just to see his or her perspective on the matter. Since I used to work for this company I am very aware on the importance of great customer service and when I got to speak with a manager named STEVE.... He was very very, rude! I got on the phone I introduced myself asked him how his day was and went on to discuss what happened with my shopping experience. I got yelled at, cut off in conversation... THEN I got placed on a hold that routed to the Store Manager's voicemail. Horrible customer care. So I didn't leave a message. Instead I decided to call back. When I got to speak with Steve again - he didn't apologize for what he did. Instead, he went to tell me that Amber went to lunch and to call back at 5:30pm and ask for Romoan. And that he can further assist me. Then he hung up! Steve and Amber (in my opinion) maybe need to be talked to and then retrained on how to provide better customer service to their paying customers. Great selections and LOVE the deli/meat counter. I popped in because the store in Norwalk closed down. This is a good alternative.

There's literally an order form to fill out when you order a big party sub that includes the option whether to include mayonnaise and mustard in the sandwich or package it on the side. They do your order wrong and they have the nerve to say you didn't specify on the order form that you wanted them packaged on the side. Is the checked box next to that option not enough????? Broooo. Get the fuck outta hereeeeee. Seems these dudes want us to have neon signs or some shit pointing at it or something. Anyway, the sub wasn't even all that. For my #300 Review Great Food 4 Less..its better than other food 4 less I've been to. Prices are right..fruits and veggies are about Ralph's quality. Meat department is great here. In my opinion it's a 4 star food 4 less but since they didnt prepare to have enough turkeys especially fresh or should we call them defrosted turkeys in giving them 3..also because that security was more worried about taking selfies than being inside ..then again he could have been on his break but you take your break where you're not visible read more

Well I am writing this well I'm sitting in the parking lot. Was having a ok experience. Found items and everything ok and of course lines were long and I waited just like everyone else. But then I put all my stuff on the belt and then the cashier Carlos do you mind letting the lady behind me go first?! Like what the heck? I wait like 4 people in front of me. I don't mind letting people go in front of me but I waited so why did the cashier let someone cut me. That was just annoying but the lady the super nice about it but this left me with a sour taste in my mouth I had to like get all my items and put it on the side and she's had to squeeze in between me and cart to get by. Paid for over $100 worth of items forgot some peanut butter so I decided to go back after I paid the items I had already put down on the conveyor belt so I would not be in anybody's way already I can tell that the cashier had attitude and did not wanna be there to begin with (big girl with glasses )worst attitude ever if you don't wanna be there don't just be happy that you have work when others don't.... How disappointing this store continues to be. Once again as normal I continue to shop here for it's the closes store to me. But todays meat department was a complete disaster. The butcher was still on duty and they haven't started to clean up. I requested to buy a rack of pork ribs. But I wanted them cut them into 3 strips. I wanted to choose my own rack of ribs on display not something they had already cut and packed themselves. Only to be told NO they will not be able to do it for they already have precut racks on display. I didn't care about those for I wasn't able to see both sides due to them already being packaged. Disappointed by the staff there once again and with discus I said thanks for no help. I'll go buy my meats at Stater Brothers. A store that always has placed at least this Custer first. MANAGEMENT!!!!! I have SERIOUS issues with this store. I was sent to Food 4 Less to buy a birthday cake for work. I went to the bakery section and found a cake, but there wasn't anyone at the bakery department (which was connected to the deli department) to write on my cake. I pushed a button for service, which put a call out to available employees over the intercom. Stood there. Stood there. An employee restocking shelves wandered over with a shopping cart and asked what I needed. I told him, and he suggested I go buy a tube of frosting. I asked if I'd have to pay for it, and he said yes; I pointed to the sign on the wall specifying someone would write on my cake for free and said I wasn't paying for frosting. He shrugged and left. The automated request for personnel was repeated over the intercom and I stood there getting irritated. After another minute or so, a woman pushing a mop in a bucket approached and asked what I needed. I told her. I wrote on a notebook what I wanted the cake to say, and she went in to take care of it. This woman had been washing floors and obviously didn't belong in the food-serving section. Aaaaand...she didn't wash her hands, or put her hair in a hairnet. Uh? I waited a while and she returned the cake to me, with the message I'd asked for written as if a toddler had done it. No. I took my cake to a cashier and asked to see a manager. One came quickly. I explained the sanitation issues, as well as my displeasure with the cake's appearance. He asked what I'd like him to do. I want a new cake, I said, although I'm really more concerned about food safety issues. He said there wasn't anyone to write on the cake...unless I wanted to do it myself. In fact, I did. And so I picked a new cake, and the manager took me - Ms. Random Customer - behind the counter and stood while I wrote on the cake with extra crummy frosting that was unsuitable for use. I wasn't asked to wash my hands or don a hairnet (my hair wasn't pulled back in any way). Ok...random person who may have been, I don't know, outside picking up dog poop, is allowed to handle food prep items? The deli/bakery section had an "A" health rating. WHY??? I came here on the way home one day when I wanted to get some fixings for salsa. Came to find loaves of bread for 98 cents and fruit at ridiculous prices. I purchased 2 slabs of Pork ribs that were located in front of the store yesterday and today as I attempted to cook them, I ripped off the clear wrap and they were spoiled. I had thrown away my receipt so I called ask if I can get a refund and the store manager said I can get credit. When I went in to return them, the store manager Ramon was rude AF, he acted like he own the store with his condescending attitude. He tried to tell me that the ribs weren't even from his store. I pointed to him where I got them from and that I had no reason to lie.. I even told him to look at the cameras he will see me purchasing them and a few other items. He gave me that look like if I was lying.. Ramon I'm a nurse supervisor and I'm financially stable, and believe me, I can do without the $29.00 you refunded me back. This is my favorite Food 4 Less that I have gone to. It's always clean, well stocked, friendly, and affordable! They always have great deals on cereals ( like 3 for $6 or 2 for $4) if you go here after the holidays all the sweets are cheap (mainly the cookies)! Staff here are always friendly and helpful. While in line to pay for some water, a young lady working the register (Destiny) was gossiping with a co-worker and totally ignoring her customers. This went on while the other three customers in front of me went through the line. Destiny's head was turned behind her almost the entire time her customers were at the paying area. When I got to the register, I suggested to Destiny, "Can you imagine how much better the experience would be for your customers, if you focused on them instead of your co-workers?". Instead of reacting with even a little humility, Destiny dismissed what I said with pride and defended her "right" (that's what she called it) to chat with her co-workers while ringing up customers. Knowing that what I suggested would not resonate with her, I didn't prolong the conversation but as I was leaving Destiny added, "by the way, we always get good Yelp reviews". As consumers, we chose where we want to spend our money. The in-store experience can be as meaningful as the price of the items. Since we have choices, my choice is to go where customers are valued. I am a caregiver and was there today around 2pm with my patient. No more than 5 minutes after we arrived.. I noticed employees in pairs or groups of 2 would walk past my patient. My patient was never more than a few feet away from me but I noticed it. My patient has slight paralysis on his left side with a slower mental capacity than normal. He brought it to my attention that one employee in particular was watching him. After he brought it to my attention.. I did notice it.. We were coming down an aisle as the person I think was the manager was looking at something from the top shelf.. a younger employee came quickly around the aisle stopping a few feet from my patient, he looked right at him, smiled, then laughed out loud and ran away.. I was upset by now. Very upset. We didn't finish our shopping, we left after that incident. As we were paying, the person I thought was the manager was now standing about 10 yards from the checkout looking at my patient.. We're leaving.. that's all I kept thinking.. I'll go finish our shopping at the Norwalk food 4 less since that's the one we shop at usually. But as we're leaving.. the manager leads the way stopping by the exit door, he locked the auto open so the door wouldn't open and told my patient to use the other door to exit being the entry door. I'm standing right behind my patient and he still doesn't really understand what's going on. But as he begins walking towards the other door.. shoppers are now coming towards us because that's were the exit door is. My patient backs up with me by his side and we look at who I'm assuming is the manager, he popped the door manually and opened the door. Was all this just coincidences, spur of the moment current events? I'm writing this review because it is 830pm. My patient brought it to my attention again. Was I upset? Yes. I think the cashier noticed I was upset because she asked me how my day went and I was a little upset but my patient responded before I could and he said fine with a smile. She responded, I was talking to her she's a nurse, I responded I'm fine as my patient spoke out.. She takes care of me.. the cashier smiled and her smile to my patient as she said.. Have a great day Sir.. made my patient smile as well as me. I thanked her. She was the only friendly person there. Complain to the manager? The manager was most likely the person who literally was making it obvious that he was following my patient. Thank you cashier for your kind words and smile towards my patient. We won't come here to Whittier Food 4 Less ever again. This facility definitely needs to educate its employees on how to respect all its customers. He get bothered when asked to show the meat and the quality I want. He seems like he's to be there has bad customer service. Also very sarcastic when I ask to see if they have more meat in the back. !!!! Horrible Customer Service!!!!!! If you like to wait in line and get treated like your in a Walmart be my guest!!!!!!!Me and my wife came in around 11pm, I know a bit late but we need to pick up a few groceries. We both work full time jobs hence the late visit to Food 4 Less. Well we found all of our items and patiently waited in line. The cashier Maria was ringing up another associate/coworker that was off the clock. Me and my wife had started to put our groceries on the register, the associate all of a sudden decided she had picked out the wrong "MOLE" that wasn't on sale, she moves our shopping kart and doesn't say excuse me or anything. Mind you we are still in line with our groceries on the register belt. And she takes off to find the "MOLE" that was on sale, 15min went by, the cashier "Maria" didn't say a word about it just kept looking for her co worker that was not back yet with her items,because her coworker that wasn't back yet she had us wait another 10min. On top of that there was 4 people behind us waiting to be taken care of. Finally are items are starting to be rang up by the cashier "Maria" and she stops and goes on the intercom to have another co worker to finds the "mole" for her and has us wait to pay!!!!! Not only did we wait for the cashier and the employee/co worker, we waited for the stick boy to find the mole, then we waited to pay. I am Assistant store manager at a big box retailer and we do not chose employees over our customers. Because off the clock your a customer just like everyone else !! I rather drive 10 more minutes to Food 4 Less off of telegraph that always delivery a great customer service and experience. just came here to buy some bread and wine, we been coming here for years and we used to love this place, but starting today we ain't coming back, my husband was about to pay as usual, they asked for his id and he showed it to the cashier guy, but because it doesn't have his height they didn't gave us what we bought. this never happened before and we used the same i'd as always, well new rules then they need to be ready to go less on customers too, they should know that there is alot of hispanic population here and with mexican id's that don't have the height on it. so food for less will be now customers less starting with us. good one. read more
