    Sunny Side G.

!!!!Beware!!!! Red flags everywhere! Do not buy prepackaged shrimp who knows how long it's been sitting on shelf! I just witnessed tag switching and from the picture the manager was taking the tags off! Wow I wonder what else they sell that is old and expired eww

    Hope it's worth it!

This review is just for the restaurant part of the store! Bought a tamale! Which I was eating in the restaurant, was charged .50c for salsa. Again GTFO! Come on people!

Pretty good place to get groceries. A bit cheaper than the more popular super markets. The store has been going through renovations since about 2-3 months. They took over the previous store Valu Plus. They have lots of good deals on many of there products on a weekly basis. If you are looking specifically for Latin products then this is the place to go. They have a lot. From cheese to soda and candy. They also have a tortilla shop inside the store, so if you want to spend less money on tortillas you can buy the store brand they are good. They also have a butcher shop inside if you want specific types of meat. My only issue with this store is the parking. It's not great. It's a bit small since they share parking with like 9-10 other small stores. Check this place out.

Does anyone else love checking out grocery stores or super markets when visiting other places? I have this strange little love for doing just that, but especially in a different country or neighborhood than my own. El Super was a fun place to visit. I've gotten very familiar with Mexican markets over the years, and El Super has a reasonably good selection of items at a good price. For example, the small ass avocados are 5 for $.99 (See photo). Along with fresh produce, there is a nice selection of ready made ceviches, salsas and beautiful looking cakes and pastries. If I lived near here, I'd be a regular. this business if you received a freebie for writing this review, or if you're connected in any way to the owner or employees.

    The line!!!! Seriously???

Why do I keep coming here? Their line to pay is so ridiculously long - I've called their hotline several time to address the issue but yet I have not heard from them. I would give them a 5 star for their produce, meat, and bakery departments but their customer service (cashier area) is horrible!!!

    This is great!

Review #866 2025-038…read more I first discovered Grocery Outlet about a decade ago in Fresno, & was attracted to the unusual finds at a "grocery store," such as an Olaf bike helmet, Curious George: Discovery Beach Game, etc. The first S. Bay store opened 6 years ago in Redondo Beach, just before COVID-19; it's a bit out of way to shop there. And about a year ago, they took over the former Big Lots location in Lomita. What is Grocery Outlet? They're a discount grocery chain that sells name brand groceries & fresh produce for 40% - 70% less than conventional grocery stores. How? By buying overstocked, seasonal, closeout, & discontinued items from various suppliers. This "opportunistic buying" allows them to acquire items at significant discounts, which are passed on to us. My 14 YO daughter's swim team does this away meet "gift" (junk) exchange where they create a goody bag filled with their fav snacks & drinks. They're kids so it's obviously junk foods & sodas, except for the handful who treat each meet with consideration of this bag o' treats may hinder their performance. I'm grateful for the less expensive options at Grocery Outlet. Since I don't agree with their choices, I started creating my own carbo-load sustenance (fresh fruits, granola bars, nuts, etc.) on competition days. Grocery Outlet offer pretty great deals on fresh fruits, I especially loved the 2-lb. strawberry pack that my husband got recently... so fresh, juicy, & sweet! I got some red cherries (at $2.99/lb.) that were sweet too! Not all produce offer better quality & prices, I'd say it's more like 50-50. Another recent find was A-Sha Spicy Seaweed (only 99¢) & Keroppi Mandarin Noodles with Silly Spicy Sauce (60% discount). Store hours are 7:00 AM - 10:00 PM daily, just a couple hours shorter than the traditional stores. Wide aisles are well-stocked & organized, but you may not always find the same products at your next shopping trip due to opportunistic buying, & what may be priced that day may be priced differently the next day (e.g. Quaker Chewy Limited Edition Valentine Minis: Chocolate Chip with Sprinkles was 99¢, & 2 days later it was $3.99). Also, it's important to check the expiration dates for those too-good-to-be-true deals, they usually have a short expiration dates or are already expired. Yikes! There's usually only 1 register opened even when there's a line, I wish they would opened another register, but the cashiers are typically quick that sometimes I have to load my own bags. Sign up for the WOW! Crowd with your mobile number to enter sweepstakes, track savings, & purchase history. Download the app to see what's in store, get access to insider events, & digital offers, including a $5 off $25 coupon at registration. Grocery Outlet may not be our main go-to store, but it's certainly a great back-up to the traditional stores.

The produce is always fresh with extensive variety of vegetables and related items not found in other markets in the area. Yes, the aisles are a little tight. It's really not an issue with me since this market has it all and obviously up to being well stocked in our neighborhood to keep us shopping in our own backyard. I commend this Ralph's for not servicing our residents with sub par groceries typical in non-affluent areas. My experience with checkers find them to be cordial and efficient. They're focused on the task at hand where chit chat is optional. Well done to the entire workers at this Ralph's. This shopper will see you on my next visit to Carson. Appreciate you!
