First time at this Aldi in Gardena, located near (or in) then Pacific Square Shopping Center. There is plenty of parking, and plenty of shopping carts lined up outside, ready for your quarter. I've noticed that brand new Aldis (like the one we frequent near our home) have a slightly different layout than this older one. In terms of product, it was well stocked with the essentials that we expect and even had the 'champaign' cheese that seems to be always out of stock at ours. This store does NOT have self-checkout, so they had two checkout lanes open, each with its own queue. Credit cards are accepted at Aldi's now, so good opportunity to get 5% back using the right credit card.

Beware of the ALDI on redondo beach Blvd!!! I went there to purchase this chicken breast on sale on 11.04 and was told 1. That add applies to a different ALDI? and the add applies to SPLIT chicken breasts and not the boneless, skinless chicken breast in the Add??? I spoke to two managers and they would not listen or even recognize I had an IN date add which they refused to honor? Beware of the redondo beach ALDI because you won't know which add applies to them??? Addendum. I attempted to send an email to aldi customer service but three times the email failed to go through from my gmail account and was labelled "spam". Finally on my fourth Attenpt it appeared to go through

There was only one reason why I came through here: CURIOSITY. Hubbers and I drove by a few days ago and had NO idea what this place is. I had some time to kill so I decided to come by and check out what ALDI is supposed to be about. Located on the same exact spot where Smart and Final used to be. Parking lot is shared with a few other businesses, but not a problem. I didn't need a cart since the intent was to just look around. An elderly woman had asked me to return hers since it w was too strenuous for her. (She had a cane, so I understand it might be a bit of a trek for her.) I returned the cart at its designated area and went straight into the store. (I later learned that a quarter is needed for the shopping cart which will be refunded back when the cart is returned. Had I known this, I would have given her a quarter! I feel bad...BUT NOW I KNOW!) Oh, and for the record, I like this idea. That way, people won't be just leaving their carts all over the place potentially dinging other people's cars (I find it really annoying when people don't return them to the designated area when it only takes a few seconds.) or even risk carts from thievery. Moving on. So, it's a grocery store! I'd describe it as a notch or two down compared to the likes of, let's say, Smart and Final. The first impression I got at walk-in was how clean and neatly placed everything is. The floors were without stains or marks. All the items in each aisle were stacked very neatly. The selection for frozen as well as fresh food was pretty decent. (Fresh salmon, WHAT?!) Most items weren't famous brands you normally see at a regular grocery store, but they weren't without it either (they carry coke, for example.) It was easy to maneuver everywhere. I left empty handed, though, as I didn't really need anything. Like I said, I came through out of curiosity. I'd return should the need come up, though. I'm strangely intrigued to try some of their items.

    Very clean and tidy aisles

If you've never been to an ALDI in Europe, it's basically the exact same look and feel as its American counterparts. However, they definitely cater to the American shopping habits with a lot more variety and selections. You even have to deposit a quarter to borrow a shopping cart, but get that deposit back if you return the shopping cart to its home base. Prices are okay, not the most expensive but definitely not the cheapest either. If you live in Gardena, come give ALDI a look. Who knows, you might find some hidden gems.

Located off Redondo Beach Blvd in Gardena parking shared with the other businesses not a large store but a good size they seemed to be pretty stocked up with fruits and vegetables as well as cereal and other stuff. Overall not a bad grocery store a good alternative to your Ralph's and Albertsons. Prices not too bad either.

You go in for what you know, and that already gets you caught up, but then you also want to try something new because there's always something new to try. Sometimes it's a gamble, sometimes it's amazing and you're like "OMG! I need this every time," and sometimes you're like "what was that?" And you really don't know what it was because the descriptions aren't in English. The staff is always super friendly. If you go for hot food during lunchtime, you will get caught up because you'll want to pile your plate high and forget they weigh it & you can easily end up with a $24 plate on top of all your groceries. They have great sweet treats that aren't super high in sugar, which is a plus. Their ramens are my favorite. I've probably tried every one. My favorite is the one with the black pieces in it (I think they're mushrooms). I still haven't tried the mushrooms, but the creamy broth mix is everything. Their sparkling sodas are always delicious. My favorite is the Hello Kitty strawberry one. I told all my friends about it, and me and my sister go regularly. My sister loves the banana milk! Definitely recommend!

The thing that's good about going to Tokyo central for premade sushi is that they make all their sushi fresh daily and what's not sold is marked down and got rid of before next day compared to other markets where they sell their sushi that's like 2-4 days old. They went viral for awhile for having a hot food bar, which looked like a buffet but in reality you grab what you want but it's $15.99 a pound. The pound adds up really quick and you end with paying like $30. The food isn't that great in the hot food bar in my option so I'd skip it. The market itself is very pricey it's not a cheap market. So if your planning on buying grocery your gonna pay high prices. I'd go here for a quick sushi roll or some mochi they sell a bag from Japan for $3.99 with red bean that's pretty good. One of my favorite food item is the umami chicken karage with rice that's pre packaged and if you can snag it while it's still hot that great. Its usually on a separate table on in the refrigerated section, It's the one with some teriyaki sauce over it, not the regular one. As you exit you can grab utensils, napkins, wasabi. ginger, soy sauce. Parking is a hit and miss, it's a popular market if you go there at lunch time it's packed or weekends. Personally I drop by to get a quick bite, sushi roll or chicken karage . They do have a food court that has a Japanese bakery, takoyaki , a katsu place. Upstairs they have a sushi bar which is unique I havnt tried it but seems a bit pricey but looks like quality. Looking for something Japanese in food wise, this would be one of the places to go to look for it. I don't know why it seems like every Asian market I've been to is so cramped and hardly any space when trying to get around with a cart. It's the same here.t

I've been here three times, and each visit has fallen well short of the experience provided by other nearby locations. The staff often seemed disengaged and gave off the impression that they wanted us to hurry up and order. Most recently, I ordered a simple mini Pitaya bowl and a smoothie. After waiting more than 15 minutes and watching several customers who ordered after us receive their food first, I had to ask about the status of my order. We discover our order was just sitting there on a side table. No one had announced our order whatsoever. What made the delay even more frustrating was that we had frozen groceries in the car that needed to be taken home. Despite living less than half a mile away, we'll gladly make the longer drive to another Beach Bowls location in the future for better service and a more enjoyable experience.

The first time, I purchased Sprouts brand unsweetened almond milk and Sprouts vanilla almond milk, and both had gone sour before their expiration dates. On a separate visit, I purchased a chocolate almond milk from a different brand, and it was also sour as soon as I opened it. In all cases, I refrigerated the products immediately after getting home, so improper storage on my end was not the issue. The fact that this happened with multiple brands and on different shopping trips makes me believe there may be a refrigeration or temperature-control issue at this location. It's hard to see another explanation when products from different manufacturers are experiencing the same problem. This has resulted in approximately $15-$20 worth of product being wasted, which is frustrating and disappointing. Customers should be able to trust that refrigerated items are being stored properly before purchase. Another ongoing issue is the lack of baggers available at checkout. Cashiers are often expected to scan and bag groceries at the same time, which slows down the checkout process and creates longer lines. Considering the premium prices Sprouts charges, I would expect better staffing and a more efficient checkout experience. I hope management looks into both the refrigeration of refrigerated products and the checkout staffing at this location. These are recurring issues that have negatively affected my shopping experience and make me hesitant to purchase refrigerated items here in the future.
